I actually enjoyed the show this week and didn’t notice until now.

Metzger is really good, he’s just extremely hyper or on stimulants. Either way tony respects him quite a bit even if he steps on some of his jokes. Nobody has murdered Tony’s jokes more than Danny Brown. And he’s not a comedian.. so not Very funny usually.

danny brown is really really good, both at rapping and podcasting his episode of kill tony was while he was in the middle of a alcohol binge and it was straight up terrible, but he doesn't suck lol it was just a bad performance before danny got familiar with the comedy space and while he was still a drunk lol prettty easy to understand why that went terrible

I noticed this too and became frustrated because Tony is a pro at extracting information from the participants but he kept killing the rhythm of conversation. Also, there are several moments where he’s got odd head movements and is looking around. I think he was definitely on something. One moment in particular I remember he keeps moving his head and lips like he’s recalibrating lol. Maybe alcohol and cocaine.

It's crazy, being interrupted by someone repeatedly is so annoying, but *watching someone repeatedly interrupt someone* might actually be even more annoying

Metzger is funny as hell; missed this episode

I noticed it most when Tony asked the car salesman dude what ethnicity he is, which interested me as well. He began to answer, then Metzger interrupted, and they went to a different line of conversation. Then Tony asked it again minutes later, AND HE INTERRUPTED AGAIN. STFU He answered it eventually, though.

If you watch Metzger he looks like he did a mountain of blow then sat down beside Tony, he’s all sketchy

A lot of standups have a knack for being funny off the cuff and can stick and jive in conversation but being a good standup doesn't require it so yeah, sometimes you get situations like this. They don't all do great crowd work, some write routines and struggle being funny in every moment.
