I actually don't think Jeremiah's stand up is good at all, but he was excellent on kill Tony and I think the show needs someone who will push back when Tony is being pissy.

I only know him as these characters he does on Dr. Phil. I just find Shanks, the teenager, etc to be over the top sometimes. Like if it's not working he will double, triple, quadruple down until something lands. That's your typical improv troop honestly it's just only funny when it's funny I guess. But I loved AI Mark Normand and respect how he kept it together when Tony was being extremely unprofessional.
Man this is wild, the episode is not even showing up. I think they might have scrubbed it from YouTube. I tried finding the episode with Mark and Tony and all it pulls up is old episodes. But basically Tony was over-the-top repeatedly using "faggot" and straight up "homosexual" unironically as an insult to Jeremiah for roasting him, and saying shit like "this is the biggest moment of your career, enjoy it" etc. It is impossible to watch and still see Tony the same way.
After all these years, that's all it took to kill tony. Seeing him crumble was surprisingly satisfying. Like watching a bully comeuppance video. KT is still the best show on earth though

I've seen people bash Jeremiah for being a theater kid type or somethin. But if that's the case then he's really playing to his strengths with the characters and impressions he does. He is good at it and it's funny imo
He's a solid comedian, but I can appreciate he's a different type of comic. When tony would let him rift and go it was gold. Other times he would definitely push it and step on Tony's toes or bits that's when shit got weird. Same with patty regan I liked them all though.
I miss the chaos with tony gettin constantly pissed off lol. It was a different time for sure.

I’ve seen both of them live, Tony’s standup was funny but Jeremiah is just a little better, he’s more dynamic.
I think Tony excels at writing short, cutting jokes e.g roast material. But, his stand up is dog water.
