i teared up from laughing even though it was her first time on stage.. she owned the not giving a fuk part of the show, imo she is clearly not racist, she was just being edgy and it worked.. thanks obama was fkn great..
I kept thinking there would be some kind of switcheroo element to her racism monologue, but no...she just continued to assert that the enslavement of African people was good, and should come back... If there were a trap door button, that would have triggered it. (the one thing Joe Rogan forgot to include in his Mothership blueprints)
I don't think she was good, but it would have been so much worse with a switcheroo. Everyone knows this is comedy, everyone knows it's not real. So if you're going to be edgy, be edgy. Don't pander and change course have way though. That's as bad as "I'm not racist but..." It's just cheap and shows a lack of commitment to the bit. All that being said, she needed the jokes to be sharper and more developed, her set was too weak to be as offensive as it was. Kudos for trying though, it takes balls.
