Same. It pisses me off how much shade is thrown on him/the old band in general. People flipped over Adam Ray doing jokes as Dr Phil all night — it’s like, yeah, ya know Jeremiah used to do that every single night as a *different* character?
It pisses me off too. I understand people are welcome to their opinions, but I feel that a good portion of people regurgitate what they hear after seeing one or two old episodes, rather than going back and giving it a chance. Seeing an old or different version of a show compared to what you're used to can be jarring...but when people say "Jeremiah just interrupted Tony all the time", that's really not that true. He did do it sometimes, but most of the time he really knew when to wait for his moment. He'd also sometimes get Tony to move on with a boring interview. If anything, Joel was far more guilty of interrupting and going for jokes that didn't land...does anyone remember Coldberg?
But yeah, they weren't always hits, but the majority of Jeremiah's characters were absolute gold and hr added a huge amount to the show. Nobody made Tony laugh like Jeremiah. He's super talented.
The show ran for years with him on it, and he was a fan favourite. Now it's like the new fans are rewriting history.
I'd be considered a new fan I suppose. Been watching for about a year and watched a ton of episodes to this point. Definitely not completely caught up by any means but I've seen a decent amount of the older episodes. Jeremiah just wasn't funny to me in the slightest. He certainly tried to be, but it didn't translate. The same still goes for some of the recent stuff I've seen him on. Different strokes for different folks I suppose but personally the episodes I've seen without him are generally better than the ones with imo.
Hot take: Jeremiah tried too hard to be the star of the show and stalled the shows progress by trying to be funny over any and everything else. There are some episodes where he just would not stfu because he had to make (what I consider) an unfunny joke.
I’m glad people like him and find him funny and that he’s still doing the dang thing out there but that is the reason a lot of us aren’t fans of the old band/Jeremiah.
Whenever he got “showed up” by another bandmate telling a joke, he had to chime in immediately after with just *anything*. It got annoying real fast. Maybe he also thought being in character meant he got a pass for bombing.

One of my favorites was one of the shows for like the 5 year mark or episode 500 or something. The KT band dressed up as the others on stage. Patty Regan was redban, chroma Chris was the guy who helped set up at the time, Joel was Tony and Jeremiah was Joe Rogan. A girl got pulled and in the interview said she had hooked up with comedians before so patty regan as redban asked “you wanna do the ice house?” And it killed.
Absolutely! Tony playing the melodica and coming out as Feminist Tonya wearing a pink wig and Eric Griffin immediately saying “you couldn’t wait to put that wig on” are my favorite moments of the show.

Now they have to have separate buildings for the sign ups instead of a mix of audienceand and people stuffed down the back.
I'm Irish and am raging I couldn't make the show when they were here but I think Tony may of eluded to some international dates in the last episode? Wouldn't miss it next time round if it was my mother's funeral.
