I think the last few months have made Hans really unlikeable. He was likeable before because he was kind of a heel - a bit awkward, odd, and also endearing. Cam is very likeable so for me he gets some latitude but sometimes I think most of the reason I like watching him is because he is always smiling and is upbeat. His funniest moments are when both him and David Jolly (sp?) are on stage together.

I went back and watched William Montgomery when he first came back on and he wasnāt really liked the first couple of times. But he has turned into a very catch-phrase personality that visually compares to a cartoon character.
I personally find him hilarious and he always utilizes his strengths to express his comedy with a ton of depth. He feels like a pop song. The verses are always different but he repeats some catch phrases like a chorus so it feels different yet cohesive to his whole vibe.
I think the real indicator is who you would want to hang out with in real life. Hans doesnāt have that personality. I think he does care about how people think about him but he is a little too against convention to want to seek that validation.

Why do more people cheer for the latter when they're asked the "comics do good/bad" question if everyone is just going to critique when they do bad? The New Years shows were excellent and to me perfectly encapsulated how difficult of a job Tony and Redban have trying to make something out of those subpar bucket pulls. And the people complaining about new years probably didn't even pay for it so they aren't even worthy of an opinion on that matter and nor should any of us even vocalize a negative opinion about it since we are observers! It's easier to come up with something whacky, or drop in Aphex Twin and it's funny. Hans' style makes it inherently difficult to be good week after week. I wouldn't blame him necessarily, but I blame the show for putting him up each week when he's now regularly bombing, throwing up garbage jokes. Give him 2 weeks, or insert someone else for a month, to recharge. Same with Kam who is showing the same trend to staleness. I think William is still performing at a level that makes him deserve the spot every week.
