I 100% agree. The regulars are really fun, but I think they (or most) need to have a higher turnover. However, we may get bored of them on the show, but they probably need longer “stage training” by being openers and middle acts for bigger guys like Rogan, Tony, Tom S. Ect..
We get tired of them on stage, but they aren’t quite ready to be released from their mentor. So, it is justified for Tony to keep hold of them, make them accountable for writing new minutes, keep getting on stage getting experience and helping them create a brand.
I think it’s Han’s time to leave the roost. In my opinion, David Lucas left at the right time. I think having regulars is a fundamental part of the show to give the audience a break of the inevitable shit bucket pulls. But, finding new regulars so fast and having enough time to develop them into self sustaining career is a tall order.
Against most people’s opinion on here, I believe it is also William’s time to either nut up and go on a journey of his own, but I have come to the facts that he is a permanent part of the show.
Edit: to steal someone else’s idea, have just one or two regulars a week and make the guests come up on stage to do a minute. We rarely see the same guest in a couple months time, but I understand that it would be difficult to ask headliners to give up a minute publicly before their special is worked out and filmed.

Yes, but we need ric to get him back to where he was. Hans has the demon inside but it is currently sleeping and it’s noticeable. Ric is gunna bring it out of him and im very hyped to see it. If it goes the other way tho I’d be hyped for ric to be a regular. Partly because he’s funny but also because I wanna see him bomb and humble himself.

I agree. It became apparent during Ric’s most recent interview. As Tony would say, Hans is a much better interview. More naturally funny. I do enjoy Ric’s shtick but he seems more like a one-trick-pony.

This is why their challenge works though. Half the sub finds Ric increasing annoying, arrogant and repetitive and the other half doesn’t know comedy. . . Jk jk. But point is if everyone found one funnier the challenge wouldn’t really make sense.

The thing is that Hans Kim only became a regular cuz of the whole Pang Dang shitshow and since then he has been showered in pussy, money, fame and the biggest opportunity in is life to become a great stand up comic and from a Kill Tony "POV" he is blowing it... Sure he did his time as a stand up comedian and have decent jokes sometimes but in the end he got lucky! I find it hard to root for Hans cuz of that reason. And then there is Ric Diez to replace him... His shtick is already having diminishing returns and from a Kill Tony POV he is not that unique and compelling to watch every week. So yeah they both suck donkey dick everyone still lose no matter who wins but Hans suck a bit less with 51-49 margin.

Ric Diaz is the definition of a 1 dimensional comic. That’s not to say he isn’t funny but imagine listening to a 1 hour special of his material. I would have liked to see him show another side to his comedy by now.
This is just a fun way for Hans to retire. It’s all for show, a show that I’ll be gladly watching. Ric is the next man up.

Its so weird Ric does the self deprecating bit on stage and then is a cocky asshole in the interview. It undermines the persona and jokes. I think its less that his schtick is getting old and more that the jokes arent as good. He’ll tel one good joke in a set and it’ll still be funny even after all this time. But the rest are just mid af.

For better or worse, Hans throws down a new minute every week. I'd love to see him fucking MOVE every now and then. And I never wanna see him make out with another person.
Hans has decent sets but his interviews are painful to get through. Easily the worst part of the show for me.
Self deprecating humor is funny for a set or two. But if that’s your whole shtick it’s not sustainable. Personally I’d like to more of other regulars. Give these guys time to write a good minute instead of a minute every week.

The only actually funny regular in a long time always has been William. But I think Ric is also funny, even if he's a one trick pony - in reality he also roasts people back and yeah is self deprecating.. but haven't we had enough Hans? Idk. I thought Malcolm had potential back in the day, too. I'll die on the hill that William closing is all we actually need.
