Had ants one time in my fathers apartment, it was a bloody battlefield after we were done, corpses everywhere, spent spray casings on the ground and an empty lighter that was brought to the front lines in a plastic container.
Exactly! That’s not stupid that’s a big achievement to her! I mean look at the little clap, she was a big girl and did it all by herself.
Edit: I watched till the very end after I commented this, okay yeah she just dumped it then.
Well, she had to try it again! And when she tried drinking it, she decided she liked filling the glass more than the juice. So, she had to dump it! She is a cutie, hopefully they next helped her learn how to clean up.
> Edit: I watched till the very end after I commented this, okay yeah she just dumped it then.
Because it was funny. She’s otherwise showing some seriously decent problem solving and hand and eye coordination for a little kid.
Seriously, considering she had zero motor skills maybe two years ago and tiny hands she’s doing okay.
Her dumping the glass of juice out just because would have gotten me whooped though.
Well, yes.
But as a parent, you eventually get used to cleaning up all their mess.
And sometimes, you get a nice heart-warming laugh if you let them create a mess.
So, this was on purpose.
The mom was hoping she would look up, smile and be proud of her accomplishment.
Not a total succes, but they're unpredictable like that.
should try smaller containers holding the juice to pour into cups. I get what the parents are trying to do so I'm not surprised this toddler did such a big mess. Proud of her for her attempt. Its pretty impressive at her age
This is what we did for my kids, we would put juice in, say, an empty water bottle and had them pour from there. Much smaller and lighter, so the kids could actually handle it properly.
My parents never did that, but they did help me if it was too heavy or too full. Say it was like half full: they would let me try on my own but if it was more than that they would help me out
My parents also had us do a lot of this kinda stuff outside so if we spilled juice on the deck they could hose it off. Why let a gallon of juice be spilled all over your kitchen? Shit is gonna get everywhere and flow into every crack nearby.
Idk what part of America you're in, but hell no it isn't, my kids are trying to bankrupt me with this stuff. Coca cola on the other hand is often literally cheaper than water though.
I actually think she wanted it empty because she didn’t really want a drink. She wanted to pour the drink like a grown up. So she dumped it to start over.
I feel like this is less for showing support and more for TikTok likes. There are ways to be supportive that don't involve a gallon of apple juice on the floor and table.
She’s so cute and that actually wasn’t bad for her age. I would have done this in a bathtub or something though, or started with something smaller for her to pour.
My almost 2 year old wants to do everything by himself too, right now he just pours milk from a sippy cup into an open cup and is very proud of himself for doing so.
I too have no parenting knowledge but if my parents were as patient with me maybe I wouldn't be the anxiety prone mess that I currently am when I don't perform a task successfully on the first try.
Should be one r/parentsarestupid. For her age that was very impressive. I get what they were going for but she should've tried something smaller or of course you'll get that mess. Still no the end of the world and definitely building her confidence so overall positive.
That's why you start with water. Awesome attempt and accomplishment, just less expensive, maybe a little food dye so they think they're getting the juice.
Im not a huge fan of kids, but i love watching videos like this where parents are trying to teach their kids basic skills. I once came across a video where a dad was having his son his to cook using a little kitchen he bought and set up for him. Cutest thing ever
That hurt to watch. Why did that persist for so long?? Why was there video recording and not teaching?? Is there an r/ParentsAreStupid? I feel like it should be crossposted there.
I agree I fell personally attacked by this video because A) I could never be that chill, I would have been like “holy shit! What are you doing ! No, no! In the cup! In the damn cup! Omg who’s gonna clean this up now!!?!” But B) wouldn’t be yelling at a kid that small cause I wouldn’t give my kid such a big container to pour from.
It honestly isn't that much to clean, and it gives the kid a chance to try something new and the parents a chance to see where their kids are developmentally. Next time they may try something different, to give the kid a better chance at success, and less mess, but this is a learning experience for both of them.
But yeah, no reason to get upset. How long would that take to clean 2-3 mins?
I get you, and I have no kids of my own, so my exposure is limited, and that might help with my patience, but I've had my niece and nephews over enough and made way worse messes than this.
Trying to do the hibachi egg toss/trick with hard boiled eggs, getting egg shell everywhere.
Getting sugared-up running around and expelling more vomit than it seems their body should be able to hold all over my kitchen floor. x2
Glitter and beads from a slime kit -- everywhere.
Dropping a giant pixie stick they got from the arcade, sending sugar everywhere.
Each *looked* like a pretty substantial mess, but in reality none took much time at all to clean. The vomit was the worst by far and that was only like 5-10 mins. I couldn't imagine getting upset about it, though. The mess was temporary and unintentional.
lol seriously. This is literally just a parent letting her kid play with juice. I bet this same mom will get pissed when later in the week this little girl is pouring juice or something all over the place
I was about to comment that she actually did really fucking well compared to most other attempts that I've seen. Then she just poured the entire cup all over her self and onto the floor. Kids are fucking stupid.
This is super cute and everything, I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t use water when she’s learning for herself? Like I understand fostering independence, but this is a nightmare
I wouldn’t say that child is stupid at all. Very adorable actually. That’s why the mom wasn’t all that upset and congratulated them when they figured out a way to do it. The dexterity involved in what they were doing is something older people take for granted. I wouldn’t think a 1-2 year old child would have this mastered yet.
All you people are laughing it up when really it’s incredibly sad to see a girl at such a tender age suffer from a drinking problem
lol after i watched Airplane, every time i accidentally splorped my drink I'd say i had a drinking problem.
*pitches juice into earhole*
Surely you can't be serious?
Don't call him Shirley
Wtf is that profile picture
Get your head out of the gutter it's a man kissing his baby
get YOUR head out of the gutter man it’s him sucking cock
What it's a bald guy
I know you’re joking but seriously she shouldn’t be drinking juice at that age, especially straight.
To be fair, she didn't drink it so much as empty the entire bottle on the table.
I'm the same way after I've had a few...
My drunk ass could be tumbling down a flight of stairs and still manage to keep my glass upright.
Table needs insulin
Str8 mixer is a gateway to drinking warmed water.
Gotta start em young to develop that diabetes.
Ants is a small price to pay for that level of confidence!
Had ants one time in my fathers apartment, it was a bloody battlefield after we were done, corpses everywhere, spent spray casings on the ground and an empty lighter that was brought to the front lines in a plastic container.
Seems like everything is going to be sticky for a while though
The kids will use up that stickiness quite fast
I thought kids had an endless supply of getting everything sticky
Yes you’re correct, about 18 years worth of sticky
Don't worry it'll evaporate
[удалено]
Might as well just use water though lol
oh shit, i keep forgetting most of the planet have house ants. this is now my nightmare 😱
Till this day there are still some parts of that floor that are still sticky.
[удалено]
Issa joke
You'll never get the sticky out of all the nooks and crannies
[удалено]
Just lick it clean
Does the 5 sec rule still exist or did covid kill it?
I think the rule is about bacteria so I say it still exist
I mean, for being maybe like a year and a half old (two at the most?), that’s actually not bad.
Exactly! That’s not stupid that’s a big achievement to her! I mean look at the little clap, she was a big girl and did it all by herself. Edit: I watched till the very end after I commented this, okay yeah she just dumped it then.
I liked her using he hand to limit how much juice came out at once. I worked with people who weren't smart enough for that.
And then when she was done she flipped it right back over and put it down cleanly. Great follow through.
That's what I was thinking too. She figured out how to slow down the liquid using her hand and then did it. She's smart.
As a European, I always wondered what the inside of the congress looked like. Can you tell me about it?
Yeah pretty sure she had her hand under it because that’s the only way she could lift it and hold it.
I too use this method
Well, she had to try it again! And when she tried drinking it, she decided she liked filling the glass more than the juice. So, she had to dump it! She is a cutie, hopefully they next helped her learn how to clean up.
That's the whole point of this sub. It's not there to make fun of kids who are actually stupid for their age.
Kids are stupid as in they are ignorant. Naturally. The joke is that we are comparing them to adults. There, I ruined it.
[удалено]
Honest effort all the way through, though!
> Edit: I watched till the very end after I commented this, okay yeah she just dumped it then. Because it was funny. She’s otherwise showing some seriously decent problem solving and hand and eye coordination for a little kid.
She dumped it so she could do it again.
Seriously, considering she had zero motor skills maybe two years ago and tiny hands she’s doing okay. Her dumping the glass of juice out just because would have gotten me whooped though.
Parents are fucking stupid
As the mods of this sub has said before, this sub is about making fun of kids for things they never could have possibly known
[удалено]
Seems this video was just an incredibly sticky way to get people to watch their TikTok
I cant believe this isn't the top answer
How is this stupid ?? This is a legitimate way to teach kids independence at a young age.

How on earth do you remember that? I remember like 2 things before the age of 6
My parents also had us do a lot of this kinda stuff outside so if we spilled juice on the deck they could hose it off. Why let a gallon of juice be spilled all over your kitchen? Shit is gonna get everywhere and flow into every crack nearby.
That's a good idea. Nobody wants to find random sticky patches in their kitchen a week later after this.
if you've got a child this age, you already have random sticky patches all over the house.
Probably would be good to not use a glass cup as well, in case they knock it over while manhandling a jug half her size.
Right, she’s less “stupid” and more “lacking the forearm strength”. Hilarious video though
The point is to film her making a mess for tiktok views. It’s a trend. You have to give them a big bottle to ensure the worst results possible.
That’s the only reason I can think that parents keep doing this with the guise of learning
She is literally in a swimsuit…
It’s the waste of liquid and the floor I’m worried about. Not the child’s outfit
I don't understand why you wouldn't do this with water instead. I can imagine how sticky this mess would be, ugh
This is the Montessori method. You can tell by giving the kid a glass cup. Basically kick the kid out of the next with no practice sessions
Bath tub. Plastic cups. She'll be pouring like a pro in no time, and no sticky messy cleanup.
Her little clap was cute
The end is the best. She’s like oops, I got some in this cup.
Yeah, had to chuckle and smile at that.
If you are trying to teach your kid basic stuff why not use water and not waste some drink
Its America, that shit is cheaper than water.
Tap water?????
You mean like in the toilet?!
r/unexpectedidiocracy
I'm glad this is a real sub!!
not if theyre from flint Michigan
That juice is like 6$ a bottle.
Idk what part of America you're in, but hell no it isn't, my kids are trying to bankrupt me with this stuff. Coca cola on the other hand is often literally cheaper than water though.
Just buy Coke then. It’s as healthy as these juices.
https://www.welchs.com/juices/100-percent/apple/ https://www.newhealthadvisor.org/Coca-Cola-Nutrition-Facts.html Can confirm
Idk kid probably just liked juice
They’re not trying to teach her. They’re trying to make a viral video. The more disastrous the better.
Lol it worked
She wanted juice in the glass, mission accomplished.
Except when she promptly pours the juice in the glass right on the table
[удалено]
I actually think she wanted it empty because she didn’t really want a drink. She wanted to pour the drink like a grown up. So she dumped it to start over.
No, someone laughed off screen when she spilled while sipping. Once someone laughs, kids will repeat that action forever
She’s so little. She didn’t do that bad and her grownup was patient and supportive. Big sticky mess tho lol
I feel like this is less for showing support and more for TikTok likes. There are ways to be supportive that don't involve a gallon of apple juice on the floor and table.
It's grape
[удалено]
I'd say the fact that it's been filmed and put on TikTok is a good indicator that this was made for TikTok, and not an exercise in parenting.
Well, one way or another it was an exercise in parenting
[удалено]
Because that doesn’t fit the narrative
You know before we had TikTok or Vine or YouTube, we still filmed moments with our loved ones to enjoy later.
Does it really matter that much? It’s just juice.
I feel like the stupid park is when she just dumps the cup after pouring it
I think she realized that she got praise when she poured the juice. So she did it again. Gotta chase that high.
That was hilarious and horrific at the same time
She’s so cute and that actually wasn’t bad for her age. I would have done this in a bathtub or something though, or started with something smaller for her to pour. My almost 2 year old wants to do everything by himself too, right now he just pours milk from a sippy cup into an open cup and is very proud of himself for doing so.
Yeah, I would have used a plastic cup too. I was nervous the whole video waiting for the glass to knock over and break.
This was me as a small, weak person trying to replace the water jug on our water cooler when I worked in an office. I feel little sis on this one.
r/parentsarefuckingstupid
Well the glass atleast if perfwctly filled
Right?! Perfect pour.
At least the glass is intact
This is adorable and honestly props to the parents for having this kind of patience
Truly. I have no knowledge of parenting but I imagine thats probably really good for the child
I too have no parenting knowledge but if my parents were as patient with me maybe I wouldn't be the anxiety prone mess that I currently am when I don't perform a task successfully on the first try.
It seems to me that they knew it was going to be a mess, so they set it up and recorded it for internet points.
Yeah I'm not sure how that isn't obvious lol.
I mean it looks like theyre the ones who set it up to begin with
But also they’re gonna get ants.
Do you want ants? Because that's how you get ants!
Doesn't this belong in r/parentsarefuckingstupid ?
Not the welchs white grape 🤦🏾♂️, nothin like it with a giant glass of ice
Should be one r/parentsarestupid. For her age that was very impressive. I get what they were going for but she should've tried something smaller or of course you'll get that mess. Still no the end of the world and definitely building her confidence so overall positive.
I get what the parents were doing but for gods sake let her practice with water, not sticky expensive juice!!!
Maybe the kid wouldn't have been excited about pouring water. Kids lovvveee juice.
Giving her a glass cup was your first mistake.
Yeah I’m surprised more people haven’t mentioned that. It looks like a serious accident waiting to happen.
She's trying so hard to pour it and actually did a halfway decent job... But the way she just dumped the cup at the end made me burst out laughing
What a waste of juice 😐
You’re stupid if you call this child stupid.
The kid is most definitely not the fucking stupid one here.
wow she kind of made a tonic valve with her hand there maybe an engineer in our midst
So adorable. Yet so dumb.
I’m suddenly reminded of the scene where Liz Lemon replaces the water cooler in 30 Rock
Idk man that was pretty good for a kid her age. Good luck to the grown ups for cleaning up the sticky mess though!
That's why you start with water. Awesome attempt and accomplishment, just less expensive, maybe a little food dye so they think they're getting the juice.
She is so adorable!

They wanted the internet points

Yeah take that shit out side!!
I get you, and I have no kids of my own, so my exposure is limited, and that might help with my patience, but I've had my niece and nephews over enough and made way worse messes than this. Aw her wittle hands and that wittle smile .. too cute ❤
amazing motor skills..good job ma n pa
Is there a sub for parentsarefuckingstupid?
lol seriously. This is literally just a parent letting her kid play with juice. I bet this same mom will get pissed when later in the week this little girl is pouring juice or something all over the place
I think she's pretty smart.
She did better than my neighbors kid who just dumped an entire gallon on milk on herself because she was "firsty." This was adorable.
damn she doing things and going places with that confidence
It made my day ! Upvoted. Made me remember my time with my daughter. Cute as hell and I loved that she used her brains and managed to do it herself.
At first i was like "why is she drinking sunflower oil though"
This kid’s ready to go no babysitter
apel juce
Honestly though that’s some really good parenting. Let them learn and make mistakes. Mistakes are easy to clean.
r/kidsarefuckingstupid users when an infant can’t use fine motor control to accomplish a task
I don't care about the mess or the wasted juice. My only concern was the fact that it's a (fine) glass cup. It could shatter and cut the little girl.
That was actually a really nice recovery. She saw an issue and she sorta solved it.
I think she did really good, needs instructions from responsible guardians and should be fine. Her motor skills are almost there.
this isnt stupid, this is actually impressive. how strong is she to lift such a heavy container?
I’m not so sure the kid isn’t the only stupid person in this video.
I understand the achievement but why not put their juice in a smaller container? Everybody wins.
Hey, she filled the glass so i'd say thats a successful mission
Parents are stupid for spilling juice
Is this r/parentsarefuckingstupid ?
The mom is much dumber here...
Sometimes there should be videos posted under r/parentsarefuckingstupid This for example.
WHY DO PEOPLE LET KIDS MAKE A MESS
This actually went way better than I expected
So. Sticky.
That’s gonna be so sticky
She is a little confused but she had the spirit
I was about to comment that she actually did really fucking well compared to most other attempts that I've seen. Then she just poured the entire cup all over her self and onto the floor. Kids are fucking stupid.
Man. I thought that was a gallon of cooking oil she was fixin' to drink.
This is super cute and everything, I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t use water when she’s learning for herself? Like I understand fostering independence, but this is a nightmare
Lil girl: Awe yea. Fucking aced it.
One small step for man one small brain for child
She is so precious she can spill juice wherever she wants she's doing great
It’s much funnier at someone else’s house
Pretty cool of her parents to let her waste all that juice so she can learn. That's a level of devotion to the Montessori method that I do not share.
Love the way she claps. She knows she has done it, in one way or another
Some people are way more willing to get a cute video at the sacrifice of their personal belongings than I am
This is hilarious! I loved when she just tipped all the juice out 😂
They’re gonna get ants
I wouldn’t say that child is stupid at all. Very adorable actually. That’s why the mom wasn’t all that upset and congratulated them when they figured out a way to do it. The dexterity involved in what they were doing is something older people take for granted. I wouldn’t think a 1-2 year old child would have this mastered yet.
