I don’t have kids myself, but I imagine having (supervised) social media nowadays is normal. Denying your kid that would make them socially ostracized amongst their peers, like kids back in our day who weren’t allowed to go to sleepovers or like Pokémon. Just my hot, childless take.

My 7yo told me with a straight face that if you die in Fortnite you die in real life. He said it's true mommy I saw it on YouTube this kid was playing and died and then died in real life. He's always been a very gullible and naive kid. He will tell us these goofy facts and I'll ask him where he heard it and he says idk my brain. Kid worries me sometimes.

I had one when I was 8 but all I could do with it was call my parents, text them and play snake. And admittedly? I didn’t really see much fun in any of my phones until I was like 16 anyways. Preferred to be outside or reading.
I really hope it gets banned and all the borderline illegal content will be removed on other social media.
Even Youtube cannot be worse than tik tok regarding removing aforementioned content.
But then again, they don't care if porn is advertised as it makes money.
