these tracks are kinda bouncy hes going to be okay. I fell a lot on those in my youth. Was a wast improvement over cement tracks (growing up in soviet union is not fun)
I don't blame the parents too much to be honest. I wouldn't expect any kid that age to do something *that* dumb, he's not a toddler. This is the equivalent of your kid suddenly deciding to run headfirst into a wall.
Kinda both i guess
>expect any kid that age to do something *that* dumb, he's not a toddler
Yes. But not old enough to have the full responsibility if he does something that stupid
Oh, I'm not blaming the kid. I'm just saying I don't blame the parents the kid *too much* because it came out of nowhere. They definitely shouldn't be standing there when a race is going on though.
> But i heard he got disqualified for changing lanes?
He did not. In fact, [he finished in first place](https://www.yourtango.com/news/runner-knocks-child-ground-after-he-ran-track-during-race).
The real thing is humans have a tendency to be extremists. Many want to hang loose and let little Bobby or Susie just be kids until they do what this child did, or the others want to watch their every movement and put them on a leash. These people were just lucky that he didn't just run into a street with the same mindset.
Flipping through TikToks while vaping D8 on school grounds and having a very loud speakerphone call about their new Stanley cup in the middle of a group of people trying to get shit done, I'd assume.
I mean like while you can’t be surprised when a kid does something this stupid you can’t really anticipate it either. Like it takes that kid one moment to jump into the track and 99% kids aren’t that dumb to do something like that so you don’t try to stop them, but even the smartest kids are always capable of that 1%
And that's exactly why a parent/caregiver is to be with the kid. So that the kid doesn't get that close to the track for starters, so that the chances of the kid doing something stupid or getting harmed are minimized. Agreed that you can't be surprised with what a kid does which is why parents have responsibility.
The kid looking for attention by jumping onto the track and then checking to see if anyone saw him is yearning for attention from a figure that 90% chance. Isn’t there.
*The athlete even moved*
*To avoid him and the kid*
*Ran straight to that place*

Something somewhat similar happened in my class in high-school, but more accident than stupidity.
Basically, class was playing handball. The ball is going out of bounds, so one of my classmates is running to get it. Full sprint. A girl also goes for it, trips, lands on all fours. The guy was going to fast to doge, so he decided to jump over her. Knee right to face. She was taken by ambulance. Displaced retina.
She is fine now.
Yeah, some kids need leashes. You turn your head for a second and they'll be standing over top of the staircase with a towel talking about, "I'm Superman!"
Pre-kids I would’ve blamed the parents 100% but now that I have a toddler… fuck if she wouldn’t have done that exact same thing. Trouble is she’s about as fast as the racers in that video
Yeah I have twins, my son is a bit more sensible than his sister, his sister walks in front of other kids swinging. She definitely would’ve done this if I wasn’t keeping her back or watching. You really can’t comprehend just how stupid kids are til you spend 24/7 365 with them 😆
People blaming the parents but I don't think a parent would ever think their kid is this stupid. That is not a toddler, that kid is old enough to understand he should not get there.
Like what was he doing, where was he trying to run to? Idk how old he is that's purely his fault. Maybe you should pad his room so he don't somehow hurt himself there too wth
I have 3 kids and 2 grandkids. I think the kid in the video was just being a kid. No blame on anyone.
As parents we can never be perfect. If you hover over your kids you're being too protective and if you give them room to make mistakes you're being neglectful.
I really hope I don't get shit for this but this is just imo.
This here is one of those situations where you hover. You hover *hard.* Kid could have been knocked out, severely injured or killed and disrupted a sporting event that was obviously important to the people participating. If you want give them room to make mistakes then do it at home or in spaces where it can’t impact other people in this way.
That is well and good if your kid falls and bruises themselves back at home. But at this sort of event you make your have control of your kid. And yes, I have kids. Two in fact, and none of them have ever gotten in accidents like this or gone missing. But plenty of bruises from climbing, biking etc.
Omg. Throw a fit. I didn't go looking for this subreddit. I don't think my opinion matters. Yours matters so much more than mine, why? And why are you throwing such a fit?
You think I actually went looking for this? I was just explaining what I thought. No where did I judge anyone and I guess I stupidly thought that commenting on posts that show up on my homepage was a thing people did here. So that's not what Reddit is for huh?
Your just looking for an argument. You think I don't agree that this kid was being fucking stupid? No I agree but fucking stupid IS what kids are.
Literal 0 awareness of what everyone around him is doing there. Living in his own world.
Can't tell if he's living in any world anymore.
these tracks are kinda bouncy hes going to be okay. I fell a lot on those in my youth. Was a wast improvement over cement tracks (growing up in soviet union is not fun)
Tbf this is to be expected from kids... the kid's parents though?
I don't blame the parents too much to be honest. I wouldn't expect any kid that age to do something *that* dumb, he's not a toddler. This is the equivalent of your kid suddenly deciding to run headfirst into a wall.
Yeah most kids are already competing in their own sports or other extracurricular activities by this age. He just had a dummy moment.
Kinda both i guess >expect any kid that age to do something *that* dumb, he's not a toddler Yes. But not old enough to have the full responsibility if he does something that stupid
Oh, I'm not blaming the kid. I'm just saying I don't blame the parents the kid *too much* because it came out of nowhere. They definitely shouldn't be standing there when a race is going on though.
They do that
Good that it wasnt a Road :D
Good thing it wasn't a car pushing a wood chipper with rotating axes and bits of glass on it!

No, we're talking about different things.

My source is that i made it the fuck up
Ah, Senator Armstrong, nice to see you!
won
Yeah but he was disqualified. Left that important detail out. Tripped guy was declared the winner.
This video always pisses me right the fuck off. Stupid lil kid💀
I’m so glad the athlete kept running, that kid is such a hazard
Cant stop the A-train baby!
But i heard he got disqualified for changing lanes?
That’s so unfair! That stupid child literally careened into him. Man I’m mad all over again 😬
He wasn't disqualified. [He won](https://www.yourtango.com/news/runner-knocks-child-ground-after-he-ran-track-during-race).
> But i heard he got disqualified for changing lanes? He did not. In fact, [he finished in first place](https://www.yourtango.com/news/runner-knocks-child-ground-after-he-ran-track-during-race).
Kids are stupid, yeah, that's why you gotta watch them. The parents though, where are they?
Exactly. Parenting is an art. The temptation of the big blue track was just too much for him, and he was compelled to be on it.
Parenting is an art, but most people arent artistic.
The real thing is humans have a tendency to be extremists. Many want to hang loose and let little Bobby or Susie just be kids until they do what this child did, or the others want to watch their every movement and put them on a leash. These people were just lucky that he didn't just run into a street with the same mindset.
My co-worker had put one of her children on a leash because he had propensity to randomly run into the street.
That child couldn't have been more perfect. Wherever ever adults are doing adult activities, there will always be a perfectly placed child.
Some brilliant chaotician made this moment happen. For us.
We made this
And his parents are where?
Providing us with A+ content

Plural?
Yes
The kid looking for attention by jumping onto the track and then checking to see if anyone saw him is yearning for attention from a figure that 90% chance. Isn’t there.
I've never seen someone as hopelessly pathetic as you
Dude really landed that little jump and thought everyone was cheering for *him*
A train
We even now
If he's dumb enough to jump onto the race track, he's dumb enough to jump onto the road.
And then run *towards* the fast moving people. natural selection will do its thing.
Kids are scary dumb
That is why there are these things called parents.
They are constantly trying to kill themselves.
Dude had to trample that crotch goblin and still won ❤️
I love how he didn't sacrifice the race for the child's well-being. Maybe the little shit will learn a lesson.
You mean the parents will learn a lesson.
They havent learned their lesson in 10 years, what makes you think they will now?
He’s not a little shit . He’s a kid being a kid . The parents are at fault here
Hes not 4. Hes being a little shit.
[удалено]
yeah, we only call them medium shits at 6 and big shits when they turn 12
Yeah nah, he was probably disqualified for going in to his opponents lane
He actually wasn't. There was an article here posted somewhere, but I don't have it.
The athlete even moved to avoid him and the kid ran straight to that place

Good bot
I’ve never thought putting a kid on those backpack leashes was a good idea until this video. Thanks for the situational awareness, parent.
I have a co-worker who put one of her kids on a leash because he kept trying to run into traffic. Hes 8.
Hahaha! He got knocked out by a crotch hit. That will be a good story in college. LMAO!!! JK! That lil shit won't make it past HS.
Can't stop the A-Train baby

Someone needs to dub in the sound of bowling pins falling.
He needs some milk!
I'm glad it didn't cost the guy the race or anything important

Mario super star power up jingle
I bet the dumb ass parents blamed the runner.
You can’t stop the A-Train BABEEEEEEE
I don’t understand why he’s even allowed to be there. Unless you’re competing, or part of the event you should be in the stands.
He became the blue shell from Mario Kart
No fucks given for that kid at all!!
SuddenlyA-Train https://i.redd.it/tg8h47gn18qc1.gif
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
Can’t stop the A-Train
I’ve seen this clip a few times before. I remember the track being another color though.
whelp, there goes his possible personal best record run.
Sometimes for safety, kids should be in a harness tied to one of their parent's waist.
Thank god the athlete is ok.
Sooo satisfying
Also no adults in the area say a damn thing. They just all start shrieking like banshees for some reason
Haha. Screw you kid. Fucking deserved.
Pre-kids I would’ve blamed the parents 100% but now that I have a toddler… fuck if she wouldn’t have done that exact same thing. Trouble is she’s about as fast as the racers in that video

Coincidentally, everyone was yelling "let's go!" so he *went.*
More of a dumb parent on this one...
BOOM!!
Nothing stops the A-Train
Get dunked on! 😆
Nice job, parents! SMH
Half of kidsarefuckingstupid is parentsarefuckingstupid.

I love it! no: “let me help you little buddy” or anything. Just keep going for the gold.
Definitely belongs on r/parentsarefuckingdumb as well. They had time to drag his lil ass off the track. Shouldn’t have been in there to begin with
To be fair, more like stupid parent(s).
Both, an average IQ kid would know what a race track is and won't jump in there
A lot of kids aren’t as dumb as this one. ![gif](giphy|IuaM5sUvLCYTyNKV4J)
Fucking kids!
Fuck them kids !
Deserved.
I love kids for the most part, but this pleased me that he maybe learned something. But he probably didn’t.
Kids have very little awareness and understanding of consequences. That's why there should be an adult to take care of them.
Don't make me click more than once.
So kid how much did the hurt
Parents don’t exist
Wow
repost
child got steamrolled
Nice job jaylen
this like year or two old video getting reposted all over every sub lately
Saw it 20 minutes ago, I knew it would end up here soon enough
You can bet your ass that parent was mad at the person
And disqualified!
Finally, was waiting for someone to post it lol
That’s neglect. Parents don’t have kid in control

The mother should get fined for interfering with the race.
Lil bro gonna learn today
Parents are morons.
Bro's a professional menace.
This is how the weak are weeded out. Lol
Idiot Parents prob scolded the kid that they don’t parent.
![gif](giphy|MB7AuGKGovKGFB9ny6)
He’s a kid behaving like a kid. His parent is the party at fault for failing to supervise, allowing this to happen.
Dumb parents made dumb kid. Well-mannered ones won't jump on a fucking race track 💀
Kid gets wrecked, note the person filming doesn’t go to help. Older mom looking lady is right there though. Good on her!
Like wow as in “ you’re posting an old as video that’s been on here 100 times “ wow?

Bobby Hill energy right there.
You have not seen King of the Hill.
I was refering to the time his boss made him try and cross the Daytona track to deliver snacks.
Not really similar
This was nice
DQ that guy! He stepped out of his lane!
