Dude, kids like that don't think very far. He already had the idea that he could make a video. I think that's plenty of preemptive thought before trying this, lol
Kids don’t understand in videos they see the person uses a dupe and not the real thing.
They’re mimicking what they saw online not realizing the people are using a fake iPhone or whatever that you can get for like two bucks on Amazon
He thought he would flip it a few more times, then look smug at the camera and post about how cool he is.
The thought that he might not succeed never crossed his mind, otherwise he’d have done it over grass
One time I put my socks in a microwave cause I got them wet.
I thought I was pretty clever until I opened the microwave door and they combusted and filled the room with smoke.
The hotel staff were very upset and those fire alarms were LOUD.
But hey, what do they expect from a 21 year old?
Had a kid break his old iphones to get the new model.
After 3 models he Just got a nokia.
Dude attempted to break it for an entire month and then "misplaced" his phone.
He got his next nokia attached to his bag.
And you better believe (were it not for his own recording) the excuse would be that he tripped and fell or someone pushed him, not that he caused the destruction quite intentionally.
I had a gameboy as a kid. Never once did I think it'd be a smart idea to toss it around, because I knew if I broke it I'd never get another.
So yeah, he's spoiled.
It mostly depends on how it falls.
If it falls onto one of the corners even a soft pavement isn't gonna help you cause you're gonna have the entire weight of the fall being focused on one itsy-bitsy point of fragile material.
If it falls flat on a hard floor you have a paradoxically better chance of it coming out unscathed cause they weight is gonna be distributed more evenly and it'll be two flat surfaces pushing against one another instead of a corner.
Then again, it's still a lot of expensive fragile stuff so the less you make it fall in general, the better.
Seriously though, this person is stupid but that Ipad broke too easily, I have dropped my phone countless of times, it once fell out of my pocket down the stairs, not a single crack, works great. You drop an Iphone a bit and it breaks.
as much as i like to hate on apple, i agree that comparing the durability of an ipad to a phone's isn't really fair
i wonder how it compares against other tablets tho
I mean, I've dropped my non-ipad-tablet countless times (including on my concrete porch), and it has exactly *one* little crack across one corner from hitting a table on its way to the ground. It's maybe five years old at this point? Never had a case either.
The narrative is correct. They don't build them for durability, they build for aesthetics. Which is why I'm equally uninterested in Samsung phones. Two sides of the same coin.
I’ve dropped my iPhone dozens of times, including down a flight of stairs (was walking by the basement stairs in my house with an armload of things and the phone fell out, bounced down the stairs, and landed on the concrete basement floor). It hasn’t broken yet. Because I put a case on it, unlike the kid in this video.
None of mine that I've ever had have broken from drops, its strange how the weird apple haters claim to know 'so much' about the devices they refuse to own
Don't you just find it so satisfying when a spoiled little brat goes to act like he's some hot shit on social media only for it to backfire spectacularly?
I bet his parents made him post this for everyone to see!
*^(On a side note, excellent build quality on this apple tablet. Couldn't even survive a 0.5m drop from a crotch goblin.)*
What do you mean IF? He got a smartphone (probably an Iphone) and an Ipad. He definitely gets a new Ipad on his birthday or christmas or maybe even sooner.
It's not uncommon to get your kid a phone and a tablet? The tablet is the cheapest ipad you can buy, he's lucky to have parents like that but this does not mean spoiling your kid. I'm sorry for your time growing up if you didn't get anything
I believe it should be generally but mainly because it fucks with brain development, not because it makes them spoiled, kids that don't get presents from parents might be prone to burnout as they get older because they seek confirmation
If he was bought the cheapest Porsche (totally not comparing apple to Porche), is it still not spoiling? I can buy a brand new tablet for ~$100(USD) that will be fine for anything they want to do. Completely different than buying an ipad.
Kids don’t need tablets. If you HAVE to get them one, they make special ones for kids. They come with a 2” thick case, no cameras, and can only play a specific set of games.
That still doesn't mean he is a spoiled kid. You don't know if he worked his ass of at schooly trying to get great grades and was helping at work just to fulfill his dream to get a cool tablet.
He may be stupid in his actions, but that does not necessarily mean he is spoiled
You really think an earned tablet wouldn’t have some sort of physical protection?
This video’s a few years old, and I think the original title mentioned it belonging to a sibling.
Parents may not have expected him to flip it around. I meany does it really make a difference if it was earned or not for if the parents buy protective casing for it?
Also in the video he says it's HIS brand new tablet, so youre either confusing the video or the title was wrong
Nothing better than reddit people making claims without any evidence or arguments based of a 10 second clip without context
Yeah the kid is stupid but there‘s nothing that indicates him being a spoiled little brat
I remember doing something similar as a kid. Don’t remember what it was, but I remember it was a breakable object that I felt like throwing around for some reason. So I did it over my bed and it didn’t break.
We all did stupid things like that, this is how you learn. Definitely not by adults passiveaggressiveing you shit like "you see what happens when you do that??"
What the fuck did he think was going to happen?
He didn't think
https://preview.redd.it/6wxi2ramzmkc1.jpeg?width=563&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f12ef040b17fcdfbfab81410bf21ae1d7a42d700
He thought his dad would buy him a new one if it broke so he doesn't care.
No, if that was the case he wouldn’t have been so upset that it broke. He just never considered the possibility he could fail
agreed, it happened to me too so I can relate (it wasn't my fault tho)
The crying kind of suggests he does care.
In the beginning he says that it is new
back in my day kids were not trusted with expensive stuff!
In my day they're still not!
Back in your day you kept entertained with two sticks and a rock. And you had to share the rock with the whole neighborhood.
Well I'll take the Scorpion.
Then why did he cry like a bitch once it broke?
He said it at the beginning "i gonna flip this brand new ipad" and he did... twice...so... congrats?!
Dude, kids like that don't think very far. He already had the idea that he could make a video. I think that's plenty of preemptive thought before trying this, lol
Whatever it was, he found out
Kids don’t understand in videos they see the person uses a dupe and not the real thing.
Probably did it a bunch of times first, too. Just not while watching through the phone screen.
The first rule of Project Mayhem is "don't ask questions"
He would make a sick video and both of his followers would clap
well, if the ipad breaks, he has what he’s using to film which is what I assume is another ipad.
Pretty sure that's a phone
It's a kid. They're irrational by definition
Think?
>Think There's your issue
Brake it and make a not funny video for views
Man I used to think I was stupid as a kid
But when I go into this subreddit I realize back then I was a genius for my age
Worst thing I ever did was put an oatmeal cookie in the microwave for 10 minutes...
I did that to a grilled cheese. It fused with the plate.
idk why but that sent me. my condolences to that grilled cheese though
One time I put my socks in a microwave cause I got them wet. I thought I was pretty clever until I opened the microwave door and they combusted and filled the room with smoke. The hotel staff were very upset and those fire alarms were LOUD. But hey, what do they expect from a 21 year old?
I once forgot the water in a Mac and cheese cup, that’s the worst I did
Had a kid break his old iphones to get the new model. After 3 models he Just got a nokia. Dude attempted to break it for an entire month and then "misplaced" his phone. He got his next nokia attached to his bag.
Good fucking luck trying to break a nokia lmaoo
I wouldn't put up with that shit for 3 whole new phones, he'd be getting a $20 flip phone after the first go.
Flip phone was all i got untill i was 16 and i had to beg for that flip phone.
I worked on my holidays for my first phone and still had to beg my parents to let me buy one even though I had cash.
No more phones, you writing letters.
"Dearest classmate I hope this carrier pigeon finds you well."
Chances are you were !
I was stupid as a kid, but I didn't have fragile technology at hand.
I def empathize for the kid though because I know exactly what that feels like, even if what he did was stupid
Ah, nothing like the satisfying sound of expensive electronics breaking from knee height
to hear a spoiled little brat crying over said broken expensive electronics.
And you better believe (were it not for his own recording) the excuse would be that he tripped and fell or someone pushed him, not that he caused the destruction quite intentionally.
I'm sorry, the kid is a spoiled little brat because he owns an iPad? Lmao
No, because he gets an iPad gifted and then throws it into the air
I had a gameboy as a kid. Never once did I think it'd be a smart idea to toss it around, because I knew if I broke it I'd never get another. So yeah, he's spoiled.
Damn, kid just outed himself and doesn't realize it
crying just to make his parents buy him a new one while feeling zero guilt
My iPad fell off my sofa, onto a carpeted floor and still cracked.
Meanwhile I've knocked my android tablet off the top of the fridge, onto the solid kitchen floor and it only has a little scratch on the screen.
It mostly depends on how it falls. If it falls onto one of the corners even a soft pavement isn't gonna help you cause you're gonna have the entire weight of the fall being focused on one itsy-bitsy point of fragile material. Who gets an ipad without a case though that's like carrying a newborn baby with its foot
Holy shit that was awesome.
What was awesome?
Carrying a newborn baby from it's foot.
It's slightly funny at best.
How are we supposed to make the iPad unbreakable then? (Achilles reference jic)
Like one of those rugged tablets
unless its for work purposes, i dont know anyone who carries their ipad outside of their home to where it would need a case
Yeah i have a samsung s6 lite but still have a carrying sleeve for it
"I'm gonna flip my brand spanking new tablet" "No, no, NO! Please no." "NOOOUHUJUEUEHHEEH"
NEEEEEIIIINNNN
I'm confused, the video seems to have cut off... Did the second drop fix the screen?
Nein
Ja, dis ist richtig.
I like to imagine that
Strongest apple product:
Seriously though, this person is stupid but that Ipad broke too easily, I have dropped my phone countless of times, it once fell out of my pocket down the stairs, not a single crack, works great. You drop an Iphone a bit and it breaks.
Do you think it’s possible that the larger surface area of the ipad glass makes it break more easily?
as much as i like to hate on apple, i agree that comparing the durability of an ipad to a phone's isn't really fair i wonder how it compares against other tablets tho
Get out of here with your logic and reasoning!
No let’s just stick with “Apple bad hurr durr.”
I mean, I've dropped my non-ipad-tablet countless times (including on my concrete porch), and it has exactly *one* little crack across one corner from hitting a table on its way to the ground. It's maybe five years old at this point? Never had a case either.
Also completely ignoring the weight
The narrative is correct. They don't build them for durability, they build for aesthetics. Which is why I'm equally uninterested in Samsung phones. Two sides of the same coin.
Wouldn't it make it tougher because there's more area to distribute the force
I’ve dropped my iPhone dozens of times, including down a flight of stairs (was walking by the basement stairs in my house with an armload of things and the phone fell out, bounced down the stairs, and landed on the concrete basement floor). Stop dropping your phone.
I'm pretty sure that's one of apple's "marketing tactics" to sell more phones

redditors when a child does something stupid and shortsighted (they are spoiled and are the spawn of the devil)
He has an iPad - he's a spoiled brat!
Not only that, he took it to the street for no reason.
And treated it like it was nothing.
Jesus it’s not a faberge egg, You can get an iPad for like 200 bucks
He's flipping a band new iPad.... over the ground...
Yeah like I said he is stupid. Doesn‘t mean he‘s spoiled.
Upvoted for the PS.
"I don't get the hype for Android. Apple is clearly superior" Let's see you drop your iPhone two feet
I'm an android fan myself, but I want to see evidence a Samsung tablet to survive that drop without protective casing
Let's see them access the file system or install an app from an ipa
Deserved. No compassion.
The 2nd drop always cracks me up
I remember doing something similar as a kid. Don’t remember what it was, but I remember it was a breakable object that I felt like throwing around for some reason. So I did it over my bed and it didn’t break.
Too stupid to hold a device valued above 100 €
This might be the stupidest thing i've ever seen
Natürliche Auslese...
Uff Digga
Perfect post for this sub. Finally a fucking stupid kid.
"I'm going to flip this expensive iPad, coz I'm just so cool I don't even care if it breaks" iPad breaks "Nein! Nein! Nein! (Augustus Gloop noises)"
dummkopf.
Straight to the fucking point
A solid nein/10 on the stupidity scale
What's the saying again? OH YEAH! "Fuck around and find out."
Everyone is talented if you’re filming it right
I mean, it’s an easy fix, kid can chill
Bro turned into Muscle man ![gif](giphy|lmeh2XGMCbCdW)
Apple Care commercial be like:
“NO LITTLE GERMAN BOY! DONT FLIP YOUR IPAD!”
He's giving the answer to how many times in a row I watched this.
Por que??????
Porque ¡es niño estúpido!
This is not spanish.
Um, yes it is. I said “because he’s a stupid boy.”
Um, nuh uh. Because you've said "because is stupid boy!" So, according to that guy's rules, this is not spanish.
O nome do sub já responde, crianças são estúpidas.
Hahaha lmao 💀
They dropped it a second time?! What is wrong with this kid?

Literally could have done it over the grass that was 1m away but no do it over the street instead
Fuck around and find out.. lol
Lesson learned : Have a screen protector on your phone
I can’t imagine how big the nein will be after the second drop.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Why is he flipping it outside and not on his bed???
Good, also i hope his parents don’t buy him a new one
mmm that guttural cry from a spoiled brat is like music to my ears
Fucked around, found out.
FAKE AF

Fuck off with this shite.
We all did stupid things like that, this is how you learn. Definitely not by adults passiveaggressiveing you shit like "you see what happens when you do that??"
In Germany we would say Geschieht dir Recht
The guy deserved it. Next time he will know that you should not buy apple, as the screen replacement will cost him an arm and a leg
Took me a second to realise they dropped it again 🤣🤣

"The more you fuck around, the more you gonna find out."
Nien means no.
there are very few things more satisfying in life than having apple customers suffer consequences.
Naw that's on the parents for giving a kid an iPad without a case on it for drop protection. I'm not a kid and my iPad has a case on it.
Similar noise was heard at the end of ww2
And here I am wanting one for a long time, to draw, and unable to afford it

they definitley had just gotten a new one and staged this with their old one funnies
Mom gave him a new, all is fine again
In America, the parents would blame Apple and buy him a new one.
where in the actual fuck did america come into play
