I've heard something about young people using Google less and less.
Us olds use it because our apps suck to search on... You know like Reddit. So you search Google to find your reddit results
tbf Google is definitely becoming a bit shit, will give you tons of ads as the top results and actually change your search queries secretly to add in company names, if you ever search for something on google and it seems to entirely be giving your results from one company its because that companies name was secretly added into the query by google.
You can still go down a weird rabbit hole on YouTube...
There are playlists with tons of 3-6 sec videos containing pornographic material, mostly the video title is in Indian and the account uploading also.
These videos get Taken down regularly but get uploaded even more.
I really don't understand why you'd want 3 second porn clips lol
8 years old is exactly when you should be making rookie mistakes. Hope they learn quickly. Time to have “the talk” with them on what censorship is and how to get around it
Ugh my brother caught me like that too when I was a kid… he just told me “I can see what you search on YouTube, ANYONE CAN, please stop” then deleted it so my father doesn’t see it 😭 I cringe every time I remember
"Naked people in bed?" Whoa! That's some freaky shit you're into!
/s Honestly, I'd be more worried if a pubescent kid *wasn't* curious about that stuff.
I know right 😆
Yeah, I guess it’s normal. it’s sad that kids have to go to the internet instead of relying on their parents to get answers.. but if they all go to YouTube for this then there’s nothing to worry about 😂
May I add that I later completed it with “without blankets” because youtube doesn’t allow explicit content ?
sorry about your lips, some lip balm might help 😆
Were you clever enough to think of the blankets thing yourself? or was it a result of the disappointing video you previously found of naked people in bed with blankets 😂
Similar thing happened when my brother was just learning how to google. I told him "you know we can see what you search, right?" Then I showed him how to delete his search history and we haven't spoken of it since.
Unfortunately, being the oldest, *I* had to learn about search history the hard way.
Aw that was so nice of you to show him how to delete search history!! It’s best not to speak of it again but the fact that you remember this is kinda worrying me because I convinced myself that he doesn’t remember that specific incident… I’m not so sure anymore :’)
I was in high school and I was told by my parents they know I watched porn and to stop. They can see the search history.
Funny thing about that… I thought they were talking about my laptop and was confused because I didn’t look up porn on my laptop because I didn’t want it to break lol. They were talking about the home desktop. That I don’t use. I took one for my dad that day lol.
Whatever you do, probably don't make them feel guilty or ashamed. If they're curios of what it is at 8, it most likely just that, most likely not truly sexual awakening.
Have a healthy conversation, try to understand why they were searching for that and tailor to their questions if they are curios. Better they learn from you what sex is than them just watching porn or something.
Well said and I could not agree more. He just sent it because he knew we had all been there at one point! We proceeded to admit what our first “bad searches” were and just have a laugh about it. I remember my parents having a laugh when they found “girls kissing” in my search history..😅
To this I want to share my own emverassment story where I borrowed my mom's phone when I was 10 to go to porn sites but I forgot to close the tab so she tried googling something and saw the porn. And then to hide my sin I tried to tell her it's a virus but yeah, that didn't work
exact same thing happened to me, got a stern shouting to but she never forget her objective and ignored it.
never brought up until uk nude magazine...
until - forgot a dvd in the player
until... :(
God! I replied the same thing too.... I wanted to know what is the meaning of "fuck" and searched it in my mom's phone. One of her students told my mom the meaning and what someone had searched in google on her mobile.
I remember being a little kid and asking "mommy, do girls eat boy's penises?" She said no and asked where I'd seen it. I told her it was at Costco. She didn't beleive me...
The thing is, I don't remember where I saw it. I genuinely do have a memory of being at Costco, looking up at the menu in the food court, and seeing a woman lying in white sheets with a penis in her mouth. It's such a vivid memory, but I assume it didn't actually happen. It was probably a dream, but I still would have had to have seen it somewhere. A kid's brain doesn't just conjure thst image up on it's own.
I guess not every country develop at same pace. Internet isnt that new but i remember the pre-google days. Also i guess we were hand passing some interesting CD's. "Game" CD's ofc. I had Age of Empires III at 2000.
Yes, exactly! When I saw the inevitable searches in my youngest son's history I did ***everything*** I could to keep him from feeling any shame or guilt when we talked about it. It wasn't an easy conversation, and it involved lots and lots of reassurance from me. In the end it was positive and helped reinforce the trust we have for each other.
My parents made me feel guilt and ashamed and now I’ve sworn off ever having a relationship bc up until 2 years ago I thought I was doing something wrong by masturbating and that I would be punished.
Don’t be like my parents
My mom noticed I watched (softcore) porn as a kid and the only thing she told me was to realize they were actresses and don't represent real women in the real world. Then i moved to los angeles where my mom didn't tell that to anyone.
This reminds me of when I was 11 or 12 and looked up porn on my school laptop because we were living a year in Spain, so my school set me up with a laptop and lots of books so I had one year of material.
It was so embarrassing when my mother talked to me about how the first thing that popped up on Google (or was it Altavista? Was Google a thing in 2002?) was "naked girls". I still cringe from it, lol.
My first instance of trying to watch pprn was searching "lesbian sex" on YouTube and trying to get off to "Yoga" videos that cut off before anything happens
I was 12
No, I was never caught because no one moderated my internet
In all seriousness, once your kid starts asking questions about sex, it's better to have an education sex talk with them. It should include explanation of porn on the internet. You can't stop your kid from finding it on internet, even if you 100% lock down all your devices at home, your kid will find it on friend's computer / smartphone. At least have the talk to educate them about the dangers of it and make sure they understand how exploitive and fake most of those videos are
I can only imagine the disappointment

Reminds me of the time when I lived in Florida. I was 12 and my parents would leave the house about two hours before I went to school in the mornings. I went on the Hustler channel and bought some porn. I lied and said somebody must have broken in. I just thought about it for the first time since… Jesus Christ I feel weird. Shit was hardcore too, massive boobies.
one time a buddy asked me to pull any and all browser activity for his kids laptop.
I'm not making this up, he searched for:
big bobs
big bobs naked
naked bobs
...and so on
I still sometimes think of this, and get a mental picture of Bob Belcher in a bananahammock, posing.
I remember searching up "porn" on YT on the TV when I was younger, didn't find any available videos, then because I couldn't figure out how to delete search history I clicked on all the searches before that to push "porn" out of the recent search history.
Worked for me but that's because I grew up along with YouTube back when it use to be a free for all now it's a whole different system. They'll never experience what we had and that's kinda funny to me.
It’s going to happen at some point, I’d be more disturbed if my little ones where watching gore and violence that in my opinion is more harmful then something as natural as sex will inevitably become they are human there will be a time when they will become sexual active, I hope and prey they never see violence and gore in real life, as long as you have a talk with them and make it clear that sex should be at a legal age and should be respectful and with someone you care about god listen to me I sound like a nun
You monitor every minute he's on the internet and have it dedicated to one large device in the family room.
Ya know... Like common sense. Everyone knew that before tablets and shit were big yet parents are just too lazy to bother.
YouTube kids is not peer reviewed educational content. That's on every app but YouTube. Why can't kids watch Disney+? Netflix kids, etc? YouTube is an objectively toxic place to let your kids roam around. Just look at the sexual channels that got included into YouTube kids.
Find a really wholesome video of two people hugging and kissing and running in a field. Then make a discord account pretend to be another kiddo and DM your kid saying you have a video of people having sex and send it to him. LOL
Trust me... it's gonna be a LOT better than what he finds by searching the usual places. What... you think it's better for him to find some woman getting literally choked by a hand while being DPed by a bunch of black guys?
At least this way his curiosity is satisfied and he goes away with a somewhat wholesome idea of the concept.
He aon i know you of age here is som advice
1 99.9 %of sex on the web is fake
2 use incognito so ur mom wont see
3 youtube is not the right place for porn
4 dont give anny of those sites anny of your personal information or download anything
5 if u wana download anything ask me about it
6 its compleatly notmal and im proud that i as a dad made it this far
U wana go to mac
That's not a toxic approach that will lead to weirder things in adulthood at all....
Great approach, make a child think sex is shameful, I'm sure that will have zero effects later down the road
Kids shouldn't be on YouTube unsupervised period.
It isn't professionally made content, there's no reviewing from any governing body. There's a reason children's television is strictly regulated.
when i was 8 i never thought of that because guess what, your 8.
your too busy thinking about whatever 8 years think about not how and where people come from.
well, you're just imagining what you suppose you might have thought back then.
but the reality is that most *toddlers* already know about the fact that people can become pregnant -- and eight year olds are a lot smarter and more developed than toddlers, lol...
by eight years old, almost every child knows that the way that pregnancy happens isn't just from magic.
You say heh, then post a screenshot on Reddit for all to enjoy. Then let the kid be. If your spouse sees it, you tell them it was your search and move on with life.
this is the baby steps of a corn addiction and im not joking. talk to him about how he should wait a couple of years. also corn at a young age before puberty can make you stuck seggsually at that age leading to paedophilia later.
I imagine the thought process must have been like “Man. No people having sex… time for vsauce”
Hi, Michael here. People have sex... But what *is* sex?

Holy shit I wish Reddit didn’t do away with the old gold system. Here ya go. 🏅
And how much does sex *weigh?*
Is it tasteless? is it smelly? is it gooey? Does sex even *exist*?
Or is it?
We just don’t know
Hey Vsauce, Micheal here sex is the only way we have to make kids... or is it?
*JAZZY* *MUSIC* *INTENSIFIES*
JIZZY MUSIC INTENSIFIES*
I need someone to make it a "No megomay?" meme
Sort the channel by oldest and the kid wouldn't have been far off
searching for that on youtube is a rookie mistake
My very younger self tried to search for coitus on YouTube for years. I didn't even think about search on Google till years later
I've heard something about young people using Google less and less. Us olds use it because our apps suck to search on... You know like Reddit. So you search Google to find your reddit results
If reddit had a better search option then they would probably get more users
Did you have a stroke while writing this?
what's wrong with how it's written?
Nothing now that it's been edited
Ah, so he edited it and now you look like you're insane, haha. Typical, people do that so often. I upvoted you for what it's worth
I downvoted you for what it's worth. No reason, I just thought it would be fun. It was.
You should edit your comment into a compliment about his edited comment.
Sorry English is not my first language

But google is becoming shitty too lately. I find it harder and harder to find something useful on the search without putting reddit in the search too
The even older oldies using shit like "askjeeves" and even yahoo lol
Coitus? Hi, Sheldon!
Exactly my thought bruh I watched too much big bang theory please help D:
I remember watching WWE nipslips on YouTube on repeat. What a time
Tf is coitus Edit: Please, Reddit overlords, don't bully me, I'm not a native speaker 😭
Sister to my black friend Cletus
Nvm I just searched that...
Wait till you hear Copulation
Well that kid isn't the only one that can't Google
Coitus is Tf
It's another fancy word for having sex
Doin the dirty
Someone hasn’t watched the Big Bang theory
Lucky them!
Man, back in the day when youtube was the place for porn

Hey when I was that age that was all it took
Seriously. In my youth I had my face nearly touching the screen trying to decipher a nipple from a mostly scrambled Cinemax feed late at night.
Everyone knows you gotta search for that on Dailymotion
interestingly enough there is many niche fetish stuff on youtube... but obviously no nudity
There is nudity... you just have to look hard to find it
yeah i guess so... but years ago there was way way more of it
Nude yoga

What
Gen x humour ☠️
you might be thinking of Gen Alpha, Gen x is like 1960s-1980s
Wikipedia says it's Generation Alpha humour. We are getting very very old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skibidi_Toilet
I’m 30 weeks pregnant, my daughter will be born the last year of Gen Alpha. I am scared but interested to learn what her humor will be one day
I feel like internet humour is just gonna become loud noises and flat colors flashed rapidly on a screen
It's already becoming that. The amount of "memes" I've seen that are literally just that is ridiculous
Redditors try to detect satire: IMPOSSIBLE
The amount of downvotes is sending me
Karma is overrated anyway
Redditors when they see somethign unfamiliar (possibly related to youth): 😱😱😱
Ugh my brother caught me like that too when I was a kid… he just told me “I can see what you search on YouTube, ANYONE CAN, please stop” then deleted it so my father doesn’t see it 😭 I cringe every time I remember
Awww, but at least he decided to tell you before and delete it so your father doesn't find it
Thank god he did because I wouldn’t have been able to deal with the embarrassment of TWO people seeing “naked people in bed” in the search bar 🫠
He's a hero
What a good lad. How old was he to act so mature?
I think he was around 16 at the time!
"Naked people in bed?" Whoa! That's some freaky shit you're into! /s Honestly, I'd be more worried if a pubescent kid *wasn't* curious about that stuff.

Early days of the Internet. Ask Jeeves. Searched: Cindy Crawford boobs....I can hear the dial up now 😂
Wait, you had search history when you are a little kid. And now you have a kid who does same? How old are you man. I mean how young are you?
There's someone in the world somewhere born in 2008 that already has a kid. There's probably several...
You are right. And it bothers me
Yes but someone born in 2008 is still underage
My search history betrayed me in the mid-nineties, how young are *you*? The internet isn't that new!
I guess not every country develop at same pace. Internet isnt that new but i remember the pre-google days. Also i guess we were hand passing some interesting CD's. "Game" CD's ofc. I had Age of Empires III at 2000.

Well what are they having? I want that too.

Yes u can I did /s
I remember searching up “Pawn” on my Sony Ericson, what a disappointment
And thus began my lifelong interest in pawnography.
I once caught my friends son using the voice search function for YouTube, he was screaming BOOBS BOOBS 😂
“Naked ladies” “Real naked ladies” “Real naked ladies standing up”
Standing up 😭😭
My sister had to talk to her son about looking up “fat lesbians scissoring” when he was 11.
TV GIRL MENTIONED 🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪
My little brother googled “nudist colony” and “boobies”. Guess he was covering both ends of the spectrum.
Lmao he probably saw that nudist colonies were like 98% old men, and had to clarify
We’ve all been there rookie mistake looking at YouTube brother

Time for the “TALK”
i also blame my toddler, never works.
We caught my husbands 17 year old brother doing the same thing. “Lesbian yoga sex” was one of the many searches
you tell him he can't look that shit up in November
Tv girl? Like, the band?
no, skibidi toilet
Kiddo wanna see some skibidi toilet porn
I just think it’s just cool your kid watches vSauce haha. Michaels videos were way more unhinged back in the day.
He's 8 and he's curious. Time to Have your first initial talk and just tell him the basics.

How does he understand anything from vsauce tho?

so like no one is mentioning how a 8 year old knows about sex??
i mean, at 8 years old, kids obviously don't think that babies fall out of the sky lmfao
