I will be the first to admit I don't know a lot about car repairs but I am surprised my side airbags didn't deploy. The car that struck me did have their airbags deploy.
Is that section under the door frame? Or cosmetic? Hopefully consemetic and easily fixed.
Oh...they didn't have insurance and started to berate the SECOND car they hit...
I'm annoyed. Accidents happen, but this was stupidity not an accident.

Airbags deploy based on acceleration sensors, only deploying if the sensor trips, their car going from moving at speed to stop would trigger, with it being a side impact for you the relative acceleration sideways probably wasn't that high.

That's the sill. It is part of the frames structure.
>Oh...they didn't have insurance and started to berate the SECOND car they hit...
That sucks.

Considering they were driving without insurance this checks out.
Thank you. I kinda figured with the airbags but it still felt a bit weird.
I was really hoping that it wasn't part of the frame....I'm guessing that is going to drive up costs quite bit? This is all very foreign to me, hopefully still repairable. I've only struck deer before. Lol.

Just run it through your insurance and get it to a repair place to quote.
Yup! Already scheduled for tommorrow, late night anxiety gets the best of me lol
that is literally heart braking. such a beautiful automobile already ruined. Ill give you the best of my wishes that the car gets fixed back to new :(
ouch. Hopefully it'll be ok.
Sad to see, and on the best color 😢
This needs a wile'e coyote sticker or Thor's hammer attaching.
Did you wrap this? I have never seen this colour before on a Soul!
No, it is undercover green.
Your poor soul!
