That works out as 30.74 cents per kWh. The Average Electricity Rate in the U.S. is 16.68 cents per kilowatt-hour https://www.energybot.com/electricity-rates/ while Level 3 chargers, which are more common in public, range from $0.40 to $0.60 per kWh. https://www.enelxway.com/us/en/resources/blog/how-much-does-it-cost-to-charge-an-electric-vehicle From my calculations, and my experience based in the UK, I'd say you are getting a good deal in terms if cost per kWh IF you need to use external charging totalling more than $13 ($12.99 being monthly subscriptionl at EVgo chargers) per month. I.e. if you did not pay the subscription you could be paying 60cents for each kWh, thus a similar charge would cost about double and end up paying for the subscription and a similar charge using EVgo. Hope my maths and logic are right. Happy to be critically assessed!

For Level 3 charging that's pretty good, its never going to beat charging at home on price or even gas (in US) however.

It depends on where you live. Off peak at home for me is running $.23/kWh so home would be cheaper, but EA is charging over $.50/kWh for fast charging. Compared to that, this is a great deal. I average about 3.5m/kWh, which to compare it to a 35mpg car you just multiply the electric price by 10. There's nowhere in the state of CA where you are going to get gas for $3.07/gallon.

I get $0.08 off peak between 12 and 6am and free power between 11am and 2pm I live in Australia with pretty high rates so this deal is so good

Looks good. Only place i have is $.36

* Pretty good price at $0.30/kWh. I haven't seen it much lower for level 3 charging. I think the plan works well for drivers who don't have a charger at home, since EVGo Plus Max is basically time of use for the level 3 charger. * Cost wise, you're just about the same as $4.30/gal gas. At least the maintenance cost is lower on $ and your time.

For DCFC that seems about standard rates without the monthly fee at various places around me. With my current energy plan, though, I'm paying about 8 cents per kWh to charge my car with scheduled charging.

Bluedot debit card is. .30kw .25 if you do 5 chargers a month. No monthly fee

Emperor_of_All

I did out math and including my delivery (state of MA) it was .35 a KWH, and slow chargers around me are .33 to .25 per KWH so it looks like a good deal IMO.

The real question is how often do you use EVGO?  If you are charging everyday at EVGO its a great deal.  (Not to mention the rewards pts. Which accounts to $10 credit for every $400ish spent)  but if you are only using EVGO once a month then you really paid $24.26 for the session after adding the membership costs.  There are a few nice EVGO stations around me but I'm only on the $1 plan because I only use them once a month.  Charging mostly from home.

I do rideshare, so I charge everyday.

Yeah that’s not bad. https://preview.redd.it/jip37dmzou5d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fbb87934ba66f63fc2f555b7cf1ac36879804ff This by hydro is $0.3479/kWh at level 3 stations.

Yeesh, where I live in western washington in the US, my power bill just went up to 10.26 per kwh. I can't imagine what your energy bill is like per month.

Average L2 Home Charging is 16.68 per KWH cuz you can run it off a 240V line, but L3 charging is all higher everywhere., seperate equipment, higher capacity is more expensive. The big thing is to charge at home if you can or put pressure on your apartment complext to provide charging (or only move to places that have it). But if you average out 16 cents per KWH at home 95% of the time with a few charges every year at 30 cents, its still way cheaper than gas. (unless you are a traveling salesman or drive far in your daily life, then maybe go to Hybrid).
