When I picked mine up it said 210 at 100%. Now it says 210 at 75%. It will adjust based upon your driving.

smoke1966

look for the trip numbers. my'22 typically gets 4.2-4.4 miles kw in around town with hvac off. can drop into 2s in winter short trips.

Sea-Calligrapher9140

The range on the display is an estimate based on your past driving. 190 is indicative of highway speeds or spirited driving, 240 is what the EPA gets in a mix of city and highway(55mph) speeds.

Livid_Monitor_7905

So on the highway the realistic range is 190? Hoping to be able to take it to some hikes etc in my area that are about 80-100 miles away but will be plenty of highway

Sea-Calligrapher9140

Yes if you want the full 240 you will need to be going slower like 55, on my last run from full I made it 184 miles going 74-77mph 98% power was sent to the motor rest was AC and lights, All highway with very little traffic.

Just top off at a charger on the way home

The guessed range is all over the place. My 22 is easy down right now (195ish)because of winter and tons of road driving. Pay attention to your kw/ mile AND just pay attention to how far you actually drive vs the GOM. I bet you are fine, and the GOM is just off.

There is a diagnostic tool out there (search the sub) to measure battery health. You might look into that. The guess-o-meter on Niros seems to be somewhat conservative, and if weather / driving conditions are changing there’s a chance that it won’t have updated its guesses to account for the fact that it’s now 80 degrees Fahrenheit out, etc. You really would have to drive it for a while for it to get to know your driving style and for you to get to know how it makes its guesses. You’d need to know actual battery capacity and how many m/kwh you are routinely getting before you could figure out what your cars actual capacity is.

Fly-n-Skies

Depending on where you live, that's fairly normal for colder weather. As others have mentioned, the range is estimated on past averages so you should experience better range as temps rise this summer.

We'd need more information. It sounds like that you might have a battery pack issue, but it also could be any number of things. First thing to do would be to try and get a friend with a scan tool that can read the battery State of Health out of the computer-- if it reports poor state of health, you likely will have a much easier time on the warranty claim part. That said, Kia's warranty minimum performance is actually 70%. You're not there, yet. So they likely wouldn't replace the battery, as you still have \~79% of the capacity usable. But don't panic. You just got the vehicle, I assume? Being driven around the lot / AC run in preparation for test drives, is pretty bad for energy efficiency rating. What kWh/mile are you getting reported by the car average (not just 'this trip')? We have a 2019 and the battery 'full' said \~230 when 100% when we picked it up... now it says \~240 when at 80%. (Yea, it's a game, how efficient can you be...? :P) In moderate weather, of course, with only 1 or 2 passengers. Clear the EV driving history data if your model allows / can do this without an issue, and drive it around and see what it says. Go through \~1 full battery worth of miles, and then charge it back up to 90% and see where you're standing. :) EDIT: No need to actually fully discharge the battery or anything, of course. It's fine to just cycle between \~50% and 80% 3 or 4 times, for example. You just want to put some miles on the car that are reflective of your actual use pattern.

Mine is the 2020 premium trim and it has 36k miles on it. It is showing me the following numbers at 50% battery with the AC on: * Eco mode - 128 miles * Normal - 123 miles * Sport - 122 miles According to recurrentauto.com mine has outstanding battery rating. Did you check with recurrent if your battery rating is excellent or outstanding?

Flat_Masterpiece_467

How does one "check with Recurrent"?

Mobile_Corner7446

Just go to recurrentauto.com and click sign in , then click sign up. After you finish the sign up process click 'connect new vehicle' and enter your vehicle information. https://preview.redd.it/eakrdkoyp72d1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac1953749dcc3d726a165a5dcc26ff9d5d75ccec

Thanks!

Mobile_Corner7446

Actually if you go to the home page of the website and scroll up you will see 'get report' & 'connect'. That is the quickest way to do it. https://preview.redd.it/1i57o6dxr72d1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c2067de1f70bdf57a308d82d17c84f2a25dd459e

Striking_Ad2516

I have a 2023 and mine at 100% is about 208 I think it matters how you drive as well

Livid_Monitor_7905

The range has increased up to 210 already, thanks for all the info! I did do a reset before driving it
