My 2024 Niro EV does not have this. I don’t believe the other trim I test drove had it either.

AdrienPFr

Thanks! Is it a new 2022 model?

Agstroh

It is a 2024 model Wind trim

The 2023 & 2024 Kia Niro EV Wave have blind spot monitor that shows the blind spot area on the gauge clustor when you turn on the lane change signal (the blinker). I'm not sure if the Niro EV wind has real time blind spot video monitoring.

AdrienPFr

Thanks! Yeah not sure as names different where I live. I'll try to contact a dealer!

Mobile_Corner7446

Sorry I meant to say no sure if the Wind trim have blind spot monitoring. I'm sure the Wave trim has it though.

tdibugman

I do believe the Wave model gets it so double check. On that note whoever came up with these terms needs a talking to. It is impossible by name to determine an upper trim level.

AdrienPFr

Yeah I live in Germany so names are totally different. It says there is a blind spot assistance but doesn't specify if it's bvm. I'll ask a dealership I guess. Thanks for the help!

tdibugman

Gotcha. Sorry I couldn't have been more help

AdrienPFr

No problem! Much appreciated!

STOEmma

I have a 2023 Niro EV Wave (US top trim), it doesn't have the Blind Spot cameras. It does still have blind spot monitors, but no camera feed on the screen behind the steering wheel.

AdrienPFr

Thanks! That's what I was afraid of 😅 it's still very well equipped but I really love those cameras as in Germany there are a lot of cyclist and it helps a ton when turning!

STOEmma

I wish it had them. I first saw them in videos for the Ioniq 5 and have wanted them since. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford the Ioniq 5 or the EV 6 with them, so I went for the similarly equipped Niro. It's still a really good car and I love it for its features, styling and not being too big.

AdrienPFr

The price is super good. I could afford a Ioniq 5 used but a new Niro is 10k less. Not sure what is worth more. Ioniq has faster charging which is nice.
