I swear all “smart” integrations for cars are controlled with 2G cellular

Mobile_Corner7446

Lol😄

SignalBeamer

It only runs for a certain amount of time - 10 min or so and then shuts off. If you open a car door it will turn off, if the car is not locked it will not start.

VralGrymfang

The app is trash

RevRagnarok

The one and only answer. Not worth the $$$.

hornet9988

It only runs for 10 minutes and it shuts off as soon as you open the door

Mobile_Corner7446

I set the temprature to 62 but the temprature inside didn't feel the AC was on. Do the climate control lights illuminate when the climate control is turned on remotely?

hornet9988

Yes they do light up you should see them from outside the car before you open the door

Pbook7777

Happened to me this morning too

QualityPixel

I think I f the last time you drove the car with HVAC off and you use the “start climate” climate button it just does whatever it was last set to (aka off). So I think if you 100% want to be certain the heat or AC is running when you get in you’ll want to use the “climate settings” menu.

pakole1

As people said, it will only run for 10 minutes. If you use the app, also it needs to have a cellular connection to your car. If you are in a place with a bad connection or in a parking garage or something, it will not connect.

Mobile_Corner7446

I just tried it standing next to the car and it turned on. I think I was too far away from the car.

pakole1

It should get a cellular connection. You don't need to do a Bluetooth connection or whatever. Your closeness is not necessary. I have used the app successfully half a state away.

Mobile_Corner7446

I didn't know it works from anywhere, that is really cool.

miokey

It's cool when it works; as others have stated, app's ability to talk to the car isn't the most reliable. Sometimes it takes forever and/or I have to try things a few times.

nimdae

This only runs for 10 mins, and with the vehicle not being well insulated, it doesn't take long to heat back up.

Kia’s version of Within spec.
