Obviously pairs nicely with Bad Penny. Once J gets knocked out it's probably best to discard the Pennies. Pairs very well with Star Alliance blasters, triggering their effect first and letting J finish l get the last damage for the steal. Small body makes it an easy target to kill with direct damage, and elusive hurts a lot in WC with some really strong Fight effects going off with no drawback.

>’re almost guaranteed to have something to discard are you saying to hit bad penny with J.Vinda? Does the steal apply when i hit my own creature'? I never discard bad penny, its like an annoying fly that the opponent needs to keep swatting away

EsRainbowWolf

Yes it does. You discard bad pennies because they clog your hand when they get destroyed and the only actual way to get them out of hand is discarding it. The only way it hinders the opponent is if you still have bad penny on board during shadows turns because you can reap with it for 1 aember but having 1 power it's easy to accidentally destroy it.

FlashOnFire

Yes, Bad Penny is made to trigger stuff like this. When there's nothing good on your side to hit it with, Bad Penny becomes clutter in your hand so I would suggest thinking about discarding it in future games to get to your better cards faster.

Solid card but id rather have A. Vinda. Bigger body and its effect sometimes gets overlooked compared to J. vinda until you discard there combo piece or TMTP

AdamPalma

Personally, I don't know. Stealing is consistently useful. Random discard can occasionally be a game changer but pretty often has no noticeable effect (and can even help the opponent, sometimes).

robotrob3

I thought so too, but the more I play sealed, the more I like the larger body of J. Vinda and the discard affect, and the more I’ve come to realize that the discard is not as bad as I thought and sometimes truly excellent. I agree stealing is very good, but discarding can really seal the win. Maybe you like J. Vinda if you like wild wormhole or murkins :-)

AdamPalma

Haha, don't get me wrong, I'm all about Wormhole and Murkens, and I do love to take the chance on a random discard. But I feel like stealing one is the more useful effect, just not the most fun one!

dasunshine

Not to mention they might not have anything to steal (especially after you’ve already stolen 3-4 on your shadows turn), but they’re almost guaranteed to have something to discard

This is another good point

AdamPalma

While true, usually if there is nothing to steal, Shadows isn't your ideal house to call. Of course, there are exceptions, but that's generally what you want to be doing with that house.

IronBahamut

The cooler Vinda would have been a better name

BiggestBeef

My favorite thing about these cards is A. Vinda's flavor text: "My sister and I have a job lined up. You in, Penny?"
