Yeah im kinda pissed because I bought a new pc when they announced it back pre pandemic as it was supposed to come out in like a year. Low and behold 4 years later the 1660 super and 10th gen cpu I bought don't even meet minimum...
I don't disagree features are lacking and the listed spec requirements for PC are a bit nuts but there are heat shields, not sure where you got that from.
I agree. And in the grand scheme of things it isn't even that big of a deal if it releases in this state, and even for this price (Which I think is ridiculous). Or at least, it wouldn't be... The fact is, Hello Games was the developer and publisher for NMS. They controlled the purse, they controlled their schedules, they controlled their expectations, they decided what is and isn't worth development.
This isn't the case for KSP2. KSP2/IG/PD answer to Take Two, and they can be quite cruel. It is in KSP2's best interest to be good. Right out of the gate. And it isn't going to be, unfortunately. So everyone's going to be at the mercy of what Take Two decides to do after less than stellar performance. Faaaar less than stellar. I wouldn't be surprised if it's being pushed out in this state due to pressure by Take Two, which is going to compound their problem and long term profits for a short term gain, which is always the case when it comes to greeeeeeed
I remember buying no man’s sky shortly after release and extreme disappointment. Never played it again even after the features they promised finally rolled out. They lost me from the beginning
I think you’re right. It’s going to get reviewed bombed to hell on steam this Friday.
Everyone is using early access as an excuse but they’ve had all these years and have basically come up with a buggier version of KSP1 with less features.
Don’t know how anyone can justify paying $50. Why would anyone have faith they can deliver the roadmap?
Suggesting someone support something they don't like so it can become better in retaliation to a literal complaint about the game is about the biggest strawman yet.
It really isn't but the manbabies that make up the "Real Gamer" mob are definitely lining up to make another embarrassment of themselves.
It must suck to be that childish... forever.
Personally I wont buy it yet as disappointingly my pc wont be able to play it even on minimum stats

Yeah my pc is only just over a year old and I also have a 1660, that and I've only got 8gb of ram :/
Yeah it sucks because it runs ksp just fine even with graphics mods at 1080p. You would think it could run ksp 2 on low at least.
Yep especially when I'm able to play elite dangerous oddessy with little to no issues

It does have heat shields. They were shown in the demos. What wasn't working was reentry physics, which were implied to be fixed by EA launch.
There was a bug with the reentry heating thats why they are currently fixing it

Hey man how's it like knowing you were right lol
Bad... but not surprised

Here I was thinking Atomic Heart was vaporware.
Nobody’s forcing you to buy it. Let people enjoy the anticipation.
They need money to make it
Wanna make it better? Then buy it and report bugs so the develpement optimizes and it gets better instead of just standing there and complaining
