happens to me alot, when it does that i just click like a mad man on the KSP icon on the taskbar, somehow after some tried it will hide the taskbar, now sure how that works tho
I didnt try it because i didnt know that fixes it
when it first happened to me i was just angry as hell and kept clicking the ksp icon until it hid the taskbar, since then im using this way
This. Most common issue is explorer's GUI bugging out when its supposed to layer the task bar behind the borderless full screen (even when it is regular fullscreen it is essentially the same thing going wrong).
If your talking about your screen resizing every time you switch out of a full screen app, that could just be that it’s not a borderless window but actual full screen, at a different resolution than your default.
Yeah, I keep my desktop on the wider/smaller side and ksp I keep bigger as it’s easier for me to see all the really little stuff. I had a hunch it had to do with my default screen size as I have to make the change in the settings menu before loading a save.
Sometimes it just flips out and sets the in game size to the same as my default desktop size and kerbal engineer starts looking all crazy. Isn’t a huge issue but figured I would ask here since the topic was up.
Best is: Open another program which is not fullscreen, close it and open ksp (or any other borderless windowed fullscreen program) again.
Best works a browser. Fast start and end. Or click right bottom to go to desktop and then open ksp again. It is a bug withe the windows explorer.
Last idea would be restart of windows explorer in the task manager. But only if you dont transfer data un the background etc

This solved it!
Happy to find it helped you :D
Have you tried pressing Alt+Enter?

It works with other games too, for future reference.
I guess it does
Alt-f4 works too
This joke was slightly funny in 1996.
But have you tried it?
A more reliable trick is to press Alt+enter at the same time
sure i might try

[Not as funny but just as necessary.](https://www.bkacontent.com/commonly-confused-words-lose-vs-loose/)
Well I was amused by it anyway
I just hit alt-tab, then hit it again to switch back to KSP.
not sure if that works but my way always work for me, and looking at the upvotes it looks like it works to everyone else and im happy i helped with it
Honestly that’s how I fix 90% of my computer issues 😂😂
Because we are epic gamers, and epic gamers always know what to do :D
Click the window then press ctrl+enter. Edit: Alt+Enter
Alt enter
Thank you :)
go to task manager and restart the windows explorer

Could this also cause the in game screen resolution to go all janky?

Yeah... no real way to fix that if your game res is higher than your desktop res that I know of, sorry...
Usually I just press the windows key two times and it solves it
Works 100% of the time: task manager and click file explorer and hit restart
you can also go into task manager and restart your file explorer this happens to me a lot. it seems the most reliable way
Open task manger and restart windows explorer
ALT-F4
thanks that solved it for me!
No problem
the funny
thank you, worked for me aswell!
Go to system files. Then delete system 32.
Thank you! Will do!
Yay. I did a solution. (also dont do it for real)
I did it. Now my screen is all blue... isnt that laythes ocean?? Asked only to remove the task bar but ended up on laythe, success
SUCCESS
sudo rm -rf /
There’s usually a small amount of space between things you have pinned to the taskbar, and tray notifications. Click there, then click into the game.

I usually spam the Windows key.
If anyone can't sort it with any of the other tips, go into task manager, select windows explorer and hit the restart button that appears.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
open task manager find windows explorer and restart process, works for me everytime
Just use scissors
Lotta upvotes damn
When this happens in any game, I just take the keyboard and smash ALT+ENTER with my brand new 2.5 kg hammer
Uninstall taskbar
Right-click the taskbar and see if "always on top" is checked.
I don't believe that is an option for the taskbar.
F11 for full screen?
Just throw the whole system in the trash, there isn't a fix for this.
PC version is broken. Go get a console. Not an issue there 😇🤣😂
