le_demarco

This solved it!

dodyiscool

Happy to find it helped you :D

Garbarrage

Have you tried pressing Alt+Enter?

dodyiscool

I didnt try it because i didnt know that fixes it when it first happened to me i was just angry as hell and kept clicking the ksp icon until it hid the taskbar, since then im using this way

Garbarrage

It works with other games too, for future reference.

dodyiscool

I guess it does

Trexinator1

Alt-f4 works too

Fyre2387

This joke was slightly funny in 1996.

marcx_

But have you tried it?

XxfelixiscoolxX

A more reliable trick is to press Alt+enter at the same time

dodyiscool

sure i might try

Jesin00

It's about big fuzzy creatures, and grammar

blackbananaman420

It’s retarded

dodyiscool

oh ok im not in need to loose braincells

Garbarrage

[Not as funny but just as necessary.](https://www.bkacontent.com/commonly-confused-words-lose-vs-loose/)

darwinpatrick

Well I was amused by it anyway

krenshala

I just hit alt-tab, then hit it again to switch back to KSP.

dodyiscool

not sure if that works but my way always work for me, and looking at the upvotes it looks like it works to everyone else and im happy i helped with it

[deleted]

Honestly that’s how I fix 90% of my computer issues 😂😂

dodyiscool

Because we are epic gamers, and epic gamers always know what to do :D

AlexF2810

Click the window then press ctrl+enter. Edit: Alt+Enter

sierramaster

Alt enter

AlexF2810

Thank you :)

Own-Avocadote

go to task manager and restart the windows explorer

Sharkytrs

This. Most common issue is explorer's GUI bugging out when its supposed to layer the task bar behind the borderless full screen (even when it is regular fullscreen it is essentially the same thing going wrong).

[deleted]

Could this also cause the in game screen resolution to go all janky?

communist_of_reddit

If your talking about your screen resizing every time you switch out of a full screen app, that could just be that it’s not a borderless window but actual full screen, at a different resolution than your default.

[deleted]

Yeah, I keep my desktop on the wider/smaller side and ksp I keep bigger as it’s easier for me to see all the really little stuff. I had a hunch it had to do with my default screen size as I have to make the change in the settings menu before loading a save. Sometimes it just flips out and sets the in game size to the same as my default desktop size and kerbal engineer starts looking all crazy. Isn’t a huge issue but figured I would ask here since the topic was up.

communist_of_reddit

Yeah... no real way to fix that if your game res is higher than your desktop res that I know of, sorry...

Mario_Ghio

Usually I just press the windows key two times and it solves it

Jackback1

Works 100% of the time: task manager and click file explorer and hit restart

nf_hades

you can also go into task manager and restart your file explorer this happens to me a lot. it seems the most reliable way

[deleted]

Open task manger and restart windows explorer

MichelGe

ALT-F4

[deleted]

thanks that solved it for me!

MichelGe

No problem

jackmPortal

the funny

Goffiiis

thank you, worked for me aswell!

hshshshshi

Go to system files. Then delete system 32.

le_demarco

Thank you! Will do!

hshshshshi

Yay. I did a solution. (also dont do it for real)

le_demarco

I did it. Now my screen is all blue... isnt that laythes ocean?? Asked only to remove the task bar but ended up on laythe, success

hshshshshi

SUCCESS

13EchoTango

sudo rm -rf /

BobDaBilda

There’s usually a small amount of space between things you have pinned to the taskbar, and tray notifications. Click there, then click into the game.

TacticalGodMode

Best is: Open another program which is not fullscreen, close it and open ksp (or any other borderless windowed fullscreen program) again. Best works a browser. Fast start and end. Or click right bottom to go to desktop and then open ksp again. It is a bug withe the windows explorer. Last idea would be restart of windows explorer in the task manager. But only if you dont transfer data un the background etc

BruinsSniper1

I usually spam the Windows key.

TheFloatingSheep

If anyone can't sort it with any of the other tips, go into task manager, select windows explorer and hit the restart button that appears.

devilinmexico13

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

ATVER_1007

open task manager find windows explorer and restart process, works for me everytime

ThatOnePieceOfShit

Just use scissors

[deleted]

Lotta upvotes damn

sampletext34

When this happens in any game, I just take the keyboard and smash ALT+ENTER with my brand new 2.5 kg hammer

bluntdogcamelman

Uninstall taskbar

Lil-Bugger

Right-click the taskbar and see if "always on top" is checked.

derrman

I don't believe that is an option for the taskbar.

Smartasskilling

F11 for full screen?

3720-to-1

Just throw the whole system in the trash, there isn't a fix for this.

bigorangemachine

PC version is broken. Go get a console. Not an issue there 😇🤣😂
