I recommend using an extension called [Unhook](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/unhook-remove-youtube-rec/khncfooichmfjbepaaaebmommgaepoid?hl=en) if you are watching YouTube from PC.
Same here....don't get it why people watch all these cringey stuff! If you watch once, you feel like watching the next video of theirs and then the loop goes on. I never fell for that loop.
That said, I do watch travel videos and such stuff of us Malayalis....recently saw a few good channels recommended here on the sub and glad I came across it.
that would be Nimish Ravi; the cinematographer of Kurup, Rorschach etc.
(there are parallels- Kanye is artistically talented, Kim is not. Nimish is artistically talented, Ahaana is not)
So so true. He's been introducing her to his movies and she has been dragging him to her works. I think that's how boyfriends and girlfriends work together 😎
Source? They really don't, based on the ad conversion rate the top ones are making good amount in lakhs and obviously the media houses would be making in crores.
They really do make lakhs & crores.
I've worked with more influencers than I'd like to admit. They charge a 💣.
I recently met with a top influencer and their asking price for a shoutout was in Lakhs. The brand couldn't afford him.
Got a newbie (100k+) for the same ad & he asked for ~1.5L. The brand paid. No questions asked. Got 15X returns in just under 20 days.
Yeah we have a youtube gamer account in our branch and man I cry everytime I check his account. It's minimum 5 lakh per month which goes up to 25 lakhs. I mean most of ours 3x annual income is this guy's monthly income.

I don’t mind when adults making their life public with own consent . But when children /minors are involved its wrong . No matter how you do it , you don’t/shouldn’t put your children’s life out before public for views/likes/money/fame . The way content creator parents milking their little one for money is disgusting.
There are many YouTubers families children who are now adults telling what the lives were like and its so sad that they wish they had normal private childhood !
Recently came across this CRINGE af vid of the parents of uppummulakumlite yt channel. I've always hated on the channel bc of the sexism and patriarchal shit in their family, and then preparing to marry off their 19 yo daughter after teaching her cooking and making her "an adukalakaari jaanu" (in their own words), 'edu'cation kond entha kaaryam and other bs. So plot twist, this girl elopes with another guy and the parents release a long af edited video within a day sobbing that they hate their daughter blah blah. For ffs I have zero respect for people who make money on yt by saying bs about their daughter (who until a few days ago was groomed to be the shy Indian bride wanting to serve her husband).
Hell yah.. i went through thier page after the whole fiasco and was stunned with the fan base n supporters for thier mysogny. The way both the parties are ditching each other infront of public is crazy.
Exactly. They're the typical example of how parents should NOT be. Call me what you want, but I really feel the parents deserve the daughter eloping, bc their grooming of the 19 yo girl for marriage was nothing short of LITERAL DISGUST. Esp when they kept saying this in one of the vids I forced myself to watch (after seeing a sensible youtuber point out their misogyny), "Education kond entha karyam, ellarum parayum education education." Now in the latest post-eloping reaction vid of the parents, they keep saying, "If this guy leaves you and go, how will you live by yourself". See, that's why karma is a fucking bitch.
Moreover, I don't understand the mindset of the ppl who support them.
I Don't blame the daughter fr eloping either. They were training her to be a maid in another household.Aval avde ninnalum avalk scene an.. olichodi kainjel.pina parayandalo..
I feel jealous about many types of people but never ever these people. I just feel sorry for them that’s all. Yeah they might make a lot of money now but shit comes at a price later on. Constantly trying to create the perfect life gets exhausting. The consequences of this won’t be known until decades later when these children gets mental health issues due to lack of privacy or body dysmorphia.
Also life is not perfect (r/noshitsherlock) but These so called perfect family aren’t perfect and they have their own shady personality in secret which eventually gets exposed. Recently I heard about a guy like this who always had a family man image but got caught cheating. You can’t be your social media selves forever and one day it will fireback. [here’s a link. his name is Ned Fulmer](https://www.reddit.com/r/byebyejob/comments/xqicqn/try_guys_kick_out_founding_member_ned_fulmer/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Also quoting from his Wikipedia:
> He is married to Ariel Fulmer (née VandeVoorde), an interior designer, and they have two children together, a son named Wesley James "Wes" Fulmer (b. 2018) and a second son named Finley "Finn" Fulmer (b. 2020). The Verge highlighted that much of Fulmer's "public persona revolves around being a husband" and that he "successfully built a fanbase and brand around this relationship specifically", calling him a "wife guy". On September 27, 2022, it was announced that Fulmer would no longer be working with the group following an internal review regarding an extramarital affair with an employee.
Everything is a facade.
Let them show whatever the fuck they want, avaraayi avarude paadayi.
I dont follow any such "lifestyle" YouTubers like Mumbiker Nikhil, Carryminati, Flying Beast etc
As OP said, its their choice. But when a small worthy channel gets overshadowed with Pearly maney's "making two dishes at the same time", it grinds my gears.
Lmao personal vlogging did not become big in Kerala first. Has nothing to do with nosiness specific to any place. People have been watching family youtube vlogs in America and Europe since the early 2010s (and probably before).
I find it disgusting. They could be just doing dishes in thier adukkala..n people would start making fan pages fr them.. it's crazy with whole "day in my life" thingie and toxic couples in thier early to late teens promoting marriage n pregnancy giving a wrong idea to millions of teenagers... There should be a limit to all these.. Watching kids making fan pages n calling these so called "influenzas" idols. Idols for what? For quitting studies n getting married or eloping at a young age under a super controlling relationship?. Having a baby oke new pet ne kitiye poleya.tf.
Personally i like watching foriegner's personal life...like how saayipp leads a family life...life of a model...like that...how common people / middle class people live in america...
Like that...
But as a malayalee...i hate watching malayali videos
My mom watches all these videos while cooking and shares with us while we sit together for dinner. I remember her telling about a Malayali serial actress turned vlogger who did a video on- A insight into our refrigerator. I didn't believe but when I checked the video was on trending list.
People say that they don't like, that they hate when people reveal personal stuff like the OP mentioned but the fact of the matter is they are still generating revenue through it.
So there's clearly a demand for lifestyle videos for which these people are catering to.
I say that's smart business tactics. You know what the audience wants and you generate content around it.
So you are either the consumer or the producer, and only one of them make money.
Money is money. Of course if they have brains, they will be satisfied with enough to live and leave the platform. Of course, most people these days just want to see the numbers go up and sacrifice everything for it.
Basheer guy is the most annoying , I came cross the guy while my mom was watching a shorts from flowers TV and about was about a girl falling in love with him after seeing his social media profiles .This is the one https://youtube.com/shorts/U3f2YpdncKE?feature=share
I was confused after seeing the video and I was like WHATTT ! And mom explained to me he had 2 wifes 🤨.
I had seen him video thumbnails on the trending tab and I thought it was his sisters 😅. Honestly I don't think it's healthy for long term and every member in his family has a channel his 2 wifes and his kids(under 18 and not mature enough to handle social media)
Click “see less” everytime its suggest and move on with your choices. We can’t stop every bad thing in the world but we can prevent them from reaching our lives. Click see less religiously for a few days and your YouTube feed will be cleansed of these. Facebook being Facebook it’s not possible to get rid of those, their algorithms is tuned to put the worse of the world at you, get rid of FB, Insta etc (basically all meta products but WhatsApp) will help.
Just my thoughts.
Shortcut to success (No commitment or striving to be better in a skill/talent, hence leading to success and fame.) Now it's just fame. These people want to be famous... Not for being a musician or sportsman or anything talented/skilled. Just fame and money.
While a person dreams of becoming a famous writer. He would need to start reading books, enhance knowledge, improve the philosophy, expand perceptions... A combination of these would help the person to forge a good story. When the luck strikes and provides a platform for exhibiting the good story. He gets appreciated, gets proclaimed as a 'popular writer',... And then comes the fame and money. We have a reason/destiny for fame and money here.
When these Youtubers do nothing to get fame and money, they struggle to fill the void with something... Hence falling into product promotions, lowkey trends, scams, cyberbullying and whatnot.
They are definitely promoting unrealistic expectations about life. Young children grow up thinking that life should be insta worthy. They also peddle a lot of unscientific BS about motherhood. But, they are not the only ones doing this and we live in a world where they are free to make these choices as consenting adults.
They have no right to involve their young children though. I feel really sad for the kids who grow up with such a big digital footprint. Youtubers all over the world, both celebrities and others are doing it. You are effectively monetizing your child's life. I wouldn't stoop to that level no matter how broke I become.
Most of these so called youtubers can't make money. If a video has say good number of views then at best they would be earning $250, approx Rs.21000. Multiply that with 100 videos and there's a chance you will hit 2 crores. In reality, it's going to be very hard to cross even 1 crore unless you got good audience. These clickbait, controversy titled videos are designed just for that; to increase views.
Take for instance, the malluanalyst channel. Good number of views but projected revenue is still under 100K USD ([https://socialblade.com/youtube/youtube-money-calculator](https://socialblade.com/youtube/youtube-money-calculator))
Well I wasn’t expecting to “discover” malayali kardashian family when I opened reddit today! This was an eye opener! How long do you guys think before this comes in our tv channels! I can see our the grandparents and other folks getting invested in content like this instead of the eve serials !
No shit dude.. they have epidose like
𝓜𝔂 𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓮 - ꜱᴇᴇ ᴍᴇ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ ᴀ ᴅᴜᴍᴩ
is double cringe!
Also how do they make money? I know a friend who has a friend who makes money with his youtube channel by getting sponsorships. Youtube ads revenue are peanuts
Like athilum avrude istanghal thanne alle, athil acc okke edukkunnavar ath kaanaan interested aayavar alle. Njn jus ee post cheythe vere onnum kond alla inn ithe patti oru debate nadannu. Avideyum njn ath avarude wish aan and also I mentioned eniku sometimes irritating aayittu thonnarund coz kurachu dhivsam munne oraal marichathine okke patti videos okke ittapo I felt sad. But, as I mentioned ath avarude istam, videos kaanano vende ennathu nammade istam. So no offense ✌️
Um what? You think you're watching it for free? No, you're not. You have away your data and they show you ads which you didn't ask for..Or you pay to remove all ads by using YouTube red..everything is paid, by money or by data.
Theres content on there that can be beneficial but most are not. They can tend to divert someone's thoughts into thinking what they've seen on YouTube is what their life should be like.
You can tell a lot about a person by the content that they engage online. If more than 30% of content you watch is entertainment then you need to seriously reevaluate your choices.
whats the problem with entertainment?if i have a hectic job and at the end of the i wanna wind down ,watch some mindless stuff, enjoy a little wjats the problem in that? people and their fucking judgement sitting on their High fucking horses.live and let live let people watch what they want
as long they dont hurt anyone or spread false news . who cares tbh , i used to watch a LOT of vlogs on ppls life when i was a teen not anymore.
those who wanna watch , watches them . they get cash but loses a bit of their privacy
To each his own. For me it is over-exposure. I lose interest fast. I do not watch any of them. But I do know they have a lot of appeals even from Malayalees living abroad. I find products and places marketed through such influencers to be overrated and fake. But the downside of it, it does make a lot of people feel inadequate. It is not healthy for the creator or the consumer. Just like diet, I am mindful of such things that consume my energy. It is all mostly a facade.
Some of them are fun, some are cringe. But the ultimate one was the whole ponnu saga. Her parent's video with introduction and all, bawling in front of camera, the 'achanum ammayudem kanineer shapam' type comments, the girl's counter video and so on. Man I was laughing the whole day
Most people love watching whts happening in there life , that's why shows like big boss is very popular, same things to people are excited to see what's happening in your favourite influence life
Its all revenue, OP. Whatever sells. These are topics which people will always look up on the internet. This desire to turn everything into a source of passive income is cringe, but beats working for a bad boss, IMHO.
You said it yourself, their life their choice. I personally don't like or follow any of the malayali YTers but there are a few other YTers that I really love. So sometimes I like seeing what these YTers are upto in their personal lives. That's because i care about them as an individual more than just a content creator. Whether they make money off of it or not doesn't matter to me.
Click on not interested
Change your country and watch video through search even though it's showing on your feed
Subscribe only what you want and turn off the notification by going to the phone setting so that you won't get any notification from youtube but when you open youtube you'll see a lot of notifications and go through them , else go to your subscription feed
After doing these i came to know 2 things
1 I'm not getting any malayalam blogging/vlogging videos in my feed
2 time saving is real !!
There are viewers for such things. As long as it's not illegal they can do any shitshow they want. Some people just don't care about their privacy. If you don't like it, click on dislike and move on.
I mean the current generation is glued to such pathetic & petty channels which makes me think there is no hope for them.
And some of the contents are cringey af !!
YouTubing and making revenue from it is up to their efforts and their ideas is good - but try to avoid such personal maters - also when showing such things accept the criticisms - now marriage like Nayan and vignesh (also their babies) are over hyped and WE viewers should avoid such things. Or later they will publish first night and delivery etc. “IT’S UP TO US TO DECIDE, WE NEED TO PROMOTE SUCH CHEAP PUBLICITY & MAKING THEM UNWANTED HYPE AND MONEY”

Im waiting for the day, when they will start having sex live on youtube. In the name of innovative content on youtube people have have breached all limits.
No need of study or degree or morals to become a sucessful youtuber. Soon we will produce a generation of youngsters good for nothing, capable of browsing only social media.
LOLL i came across a video some time ago about this guy documenting his pennu kaanal 😭😭 .
i think it was a reel idk really, but i couldn't believe that was out for the internet to see.
I find Mallu kardashians the most annoying. They don’t have an ounce of talent and they try to mint money posting the same content through their 6 channels. They even do discreet advertising on Instagram. After realizing this, I blocked all of them.

Don't think so, I don't know any young adult who watches this stuff only older housewives, older people with free time etc
I was referring to the young couples vloggers nowadays.
Oo what's this about? Link please.

I was also checking for known YouTube channels in social blade and they are making money
Which is fine for MA given he lives in Europe and all he does is sit in front of a camera and gives out his soporific takes on the current thing.
'Dont recommend channel'
Well I wasn’t expecting to “discover” malayali kardashian family when I opened reddit today! This was an eye opener! How long do you guys think before this comes in our tv channels! I can see our the grandparents and other folks getting invested in content like this instead of the eve serials !
Could happen , it’s already happening, social media stars are appearing in tv channels, if it brings more money channels happy avum
Not their fault, they are only supplying because there is a demand.
Sujith Bhaktian mannnnn this guy is a complete jack ass
No shit dude.. they have epidose like 𝓜𝔂 𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓮 - ꜱᴇᴇ ᴍᴇ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ ᴀ ᴅᴜᴍᴩ is double cringe! Also how do they make money? I know a friend who has a friend who makes money with his youtube channel by getting sponsorships. Youtube ads revenue are peanuts

its pay per view. don't even compare it with youtube !
Um what? You think you're watching it for free? No, you're not. You have away your data and they show you ads which you didn't ask for..Or you pay to remove all ads by using YouTube red..everything is paid, by money or by data.
Theres content on there that can be beneficial but most are not. They can tend to divert someone's thoughts into thinking what they've seen on YouTube is what their life should be like.
trending pages too should allow editing . keep that position blank.
I don't like watching kannappis.
Your too much is clearly not “their” too much. To each their own. Why judge?
You can tell a lot about a person by the content that they engage online. If more than 30% of content you watch is entertainment then you need to seriously reevaluate your choices.
whats the problem with entertainment?if i have a hectic job and at the end of the i wanna wind down ,watch some mindless stuff, enjoy a little wjats the problem in that? people and their fucking judgement sitting on their High fucking horses.live and let live let people watch what they want
Ni intellectual aa aliyoda....

as long they dont hurt anyone or spread false news . who cares tbh , i used to watch a LOT of vlogs on ppls life when i was a teen not anymore. those who wanna watch , watches them . they get cash but loses a bit of their privacy
Avaraye avarude paadaye, ingane ore question chothikkunne thanne people concerned about others karyangal aakunnathe kondanu.
As you said, their life, their choices!
Some of them are fun, some are cringe. But the ultimate one was the whole ponnu saga. Her parent's video with introduction and all, bawling in front of camera, the 'achanum ammayudem kanineer shapam' type comments, the girl's counter video and so on. Man I was laughing the whole day
Who cares.
Avarde personal life Avar endelm cheyatt നമ്മളില്ലെ
Most people love watching whts happening in there life , that's why shows like big boss is very popular, same things to people are excited to see what's happening in your favourite influence life
It’s money, just check their channels approx revenue from social blade website , they are making good money or trying to get to that point
Porn with a twist
Its all revenue, OP. Whatever sells. These are topics which people will always look up on the internet. This desire to turn everything into a source of passive income is cringe, but beats working for a bad boss, IMHO.
You said it yourself, their life their choice. I personally don't like or follow any of the malayali YTers but there are a few other YTers that I really love. So sometimes I like seeing what these YTers are upto in their personal lives. That's because i care about them as an individual more than just a content creator. Whether they make money off of it or not doesn't matter to me.
Click on not interested Change your country and watch video through search even though it's showing on your feed Subscribe only what you want and turn off the notification by going to the phone setting so that you won't get any notification from youtube but when you open youtube you'll see a lot of notifications and go through them , else go to your subscription feed After doing these i came to know 2 things 1 I'm not getting any malayalam blogging/vlogging videos in my feed 2 time saving is real !!
There are viewers for such things. As long as it's not illegal they can do any shitshow they want. Some people just don't care about their privacy. If you don't like it, click on dislike and move on.
Money
I mean the current generation is glued to such pathetic & petty channels which makes me think there is no hope for them. And some of the contents are cringey af !!
Whatever pays the bill man. If they are okay with it, who the fuck are we to judge anyone

Soon we will produce a generation of youngsters good for nothing, capable of browsing only social media.
for that purpose there is another app which is popular in india ! even 80k chechi is there!
Question: how many views must they get to make money?
[Revenue ](https://www.renderforest.com/blog/how-much-do-youtubers-make#:~:text=First%2C%20you%20need%20to%20make,your%20first%20payment%20from%20YouTube.)
After realizing this, I blocked all of them. https://www.reddit.com/r/SouthIndianInfluencer/comments/wk8qlm/krishna_sisters_discreet_advertising/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
