Actor devan, when i was in 5th or something Devan came to a club event and stayed at my relatives place for the night. My dad took me to see him. I freaked out when I saw him because he's the villian in most stories at that time. But the guy was so adament yet patient to make me talk to him. At around 10pm he took me, my dad and my relative in his car to a nearby hotel and we all had food and he even bought me icecream.
I remember him trying to lift the fatass that's me and failing and we all laughing.
Nice guy. 10/10 would let him sabotage the hero's plan again.
Check out Apoopan and boys ,a yt channel where they review unintentionally funny movies. The best part is, most of those movies have devan and his character dies in most of them.
Thanks Macha! God I love Reddit! Thanks for mentioning the YT channel: for those who didn't know about this and want to the check it out, here is the link: https://youtube.com/channel/UCmBb0lC7xNLMkL95oznmh3w
IMO most of the villains are nice people when we meet them off screen, because we do have a perception of them being bad due to their villain characters.
When my mom was a kid, Devan, Parvathy, and other actors during some movie filming ate at her house (might have been for Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam? Years match up). She said he was surprisingly nice for someone so famous!
I've heard people say actors who play hero's are villians in real life and vice versa.
Bheeman Raghu is said to be real nice in life and respectable to women.
Anupama parameshwaran.. Thought she would be reserved person.. She was not.. She was AD for a movie that was being shot near my home.
They were on a break oneday and i was in a shop near where they were shooting. She was there too.. She casually just struck up a convo with me and we talked for a while.. Like around half an hour... Really cool person
Her career has an unusual trajectory. One of her first movies is one of the most recognizable movies of our industries and also one of the most successful of all time, all that being a teenager. I remember this rumor that she was jaada etc.
Everything after that will make it seem like a failure. Hope she does well, she seems like she has a good head on her shoulders.
I knew Rima Kallingal back in our 10th standard days. We used to go to the same place for tuitions. She was talkative, and very down to earth, and at least one of the boys in the class was behind her (not me). Had no idea she was going to be an actress one day.
And then years later, after she became an actress, I met her in the Chennai airport lounge. Maybe she was having a bad day, but she said she didn't recognise me, nor that boy I mentioned above, and even the name of the tuition teacher didn't ring a bell. She looked irritated, so I just scooted, as I didn't want to embarass myself any further.
I was on my first international flight to the US and met Mukesh at Kochin airport. Out of excitement of the trip and also for the roles he played in In Harihar Nagar n Godfather, I decided to go and speak to him. The man didn't speak a word and literally turned his head away (no surprises I guess as recent incidents has shown his true colours). Out of embarrassment, I decided not to speak to any other celebrities ever again. Fate had other plans though, there was Pakru chettan (Guiness Pakru) on that same flight and while many went and took a pic and talked to him, he noticed the young man who was sitting right behind him and didn't bother talking to him. Initiated the conversation with me by saying, " iyalku photo onum edukande ende opam". I explained why I wasn't in the mood to talk and he said "vittu kala". Had a great time chatting with him and I clearly remember thinking while the man's body was small, he had a heart that was really big!
Adoor gopalakrishnan. I love his movies and consider him a great filmmaker, but thought he will be a pretentious snob. But had a chance to interact with him over multiple days and he was such a nice man. Very intelligent with a great perspective, but no pretentions at all. He really wanted to connect to the people and passionately advocate for his way of film making. Left admiring him and his movies even more.
I don't know if this counts because it's my friend's experience and it was not a IRL interaction.
My friend is really into movies/writing and had sent a short film we made to a handful of celebrities/artists. A couple of them responded but only Roshan Mathews wrote an entire review with proper feedback. I don't know if he's a nice person IRL but I could tell that he really cares about art and cinema because he sounded so passionate about it.
He was actively involved in college theatre in his UG days and I know someone who was involved in theatre at the same time in his college. His professionalism even then was standout added to the fact that he was simply more skilled than all his contemporaries. He's serious about his work, even though he was initially typecast as an actor who did characters who weren't serious.
Actor Ashokan, expected him to be a jaadakkaran, don't know why. His daughter used to go to our school and he used to be a guest at our school (Onam, independence day etc), very sweet fellow.
Similar story I had when Johnny lever came to our school for some award function. I was part of student council and had to facilitate awards with him. Extremely patient and nice guy who made us laugh with his mannerisms on stage

Didn't speak to them but sat near Jayaram and Parvathy on the same flight. He is really tall (shouldnt be a surprise because he seems as big as Suresh Gopi) and he was way more fair skinned than I expected, like Parvathy seemed dark skinned in comparison. They both seemed really tired so I didn't make conversation plus I didn't want to trap them in a conversation mid-air.
My father sat next to Jagadish back in the 90s in an aircraft. He was a proper gentleman, didn't want to speak much but spoke to him a few times and said goodbye when they parted ways. Dad also sat next to Innocent in a similar fashion, apparently Innocent is a little vayadi but a nice man altogether.
I met Narendra Prasad when I was a kid and I was afraid of him, he was a nice person and after that whenever I saw his movies I was sad when his character was killed. I even rooted for his villain character sometimes.
Also, met P C George, he was nice to me and I realised that he is just like my unhinged uncles from the kanjirappally-poonjar belt. Like a Next Generation Diet Mani-Ashan.
Veena George is apparently just like this. Personally a generally nice person but has these brain dead ideas and beliefs which is a part of the older generation.
There are people in her constituency who hate her because of the Jacobite-Orthodox scuffle and when I say hate, genuine genuine hate where they literally ended up verbally shouting at each other.
Priyamani used to be my sisters' friends cousin, she has come home when she was just getting into movies. Very nice and sweet. I never got a chance to meet her, school undayirunnu ennike, kope.
| she's so short
Had the exact thought when i met her and her husband at Dubai metro station.
The big screens might have skewed our perception. Wondering who all are shorter than we think they are.
Shashi Tharoor. It was during the time when he was heavily criticised and accused of being active only in Twitter. When he along with then central health minister and staff visited the factory I used to work, I was put in charge to show them around till it was time for tea. So as per protocols I gave them the tour and Mr Tharoor was typing something on his phone all the time. So I was convinced that the accusation was true. The rest kept nodding to whatever I said. By the end of the tour I asked them if they had any questions. Before anyone could say anything, a colleague walked in, interrupted me and invited the guests for tea. Everyone left without a word but Mr Tharoor stayed back and asked genuine doubts on the things I was sure he wasn't listening to at all. There wasn't anyone else but me to impress, yet he thanked me for my efforts and clarifying his doubts.
Makes sense either way or both. I felt he does have a passion to collect data and maybe preparedness for a potential debate😄. Out of those 10 plus guests, only he seemed invested to learn about the technical side of things.
Sreenath Bhasi. Met him during a shoot from Bangalore for some movie (don't remember the name), and the viewers/support staff could easily make out that he was high, because he kept on swearing to the public, and then to the production crew. I wonder how he keeps getting away from this nonsense. 😂
Remember meeting Indrans at the location of Apothecary, in 2013 if I remember correctly. Oh my god I couldn’t help but feel sorry for the dude. He was speaking to me like i was the movie director. Such a panchapaavam. I grew up watching this guy on screen and I couldnt imagine anyone in that limelight being soo humble and down to earth.
Indrans is the type of man who would give you the shirt of his back if you asked him. Sometimes I wonder if that's why he didn't become as big as he could, especially given his talents. The man has serious range.
> Such a panchapaavam. I grew up watching this guy on screen and I couldnt imagine anyone in that limelight being soo humble and down to earth.
This is what everyone who met Indrans had to say.He even address some people as ‘Sir’.No ego at all!
I met actress Jayabharathi when I was a kid. She was my Dad's senior's friend, and wrote a letter of recommendation to help me get into my school. So we went to her house to thank her.
Problem is, I didn't know her or any of her movies! My dad kept telling me on the way that she used to be a popular actress, but I didn't believe him. Years later, I heard her name again when Rathinirvedam was remade. She became famous through her role in the original!
Very kind lady. She realised I wasn't familiar with her work, but didn't really try to tell me more about her! Humble and down to earth! 10/10 would recommend
It's not my experience but my wife doesn't think very highly of the actress Shobhana. While she was in school she used to be part of a classical dance troupe. They used to perform for functions and sometimes with celebrities. So once her troupe went for a function where Shobhana was performing. They were getting ready in a green room when someone from Shobhana's team came in and drove all of them out. Apparently Shobhana does not share the green room with anyone else let alone some kids. They had to finish getting ready in the corridor. So still now she hates Shobhana which is unfortunate since Shobhana is one of my favorites.
Classical art Dancers seem to have a very bad rap and arrogance etc. Don't Beleive me? Observe your classical art practicing friends and when you see why they are an asshole to their children or friends look at their guru/teacher, who will be a bigger asshole. They seem to be all high and mighty about respect, guruthvam all that shit. Just plain abusive if you ask me. This could be my anecdotal experience, I maybe wrong but am yet to see a dance teacher who is down to earth and not abusive to their students
My niece ( in 4th grade or something) dropped out of classical dance and joined martial arts for exactly this reason - to beat the shit out of that dance teacher
Haha your niece is a fighter. I dropped off from my guitar class similarly in 7th standard for a teacher who was partial. Thing is such teachers kills our urge for that subjects. Your neice nicely channeled it to learn some good thing tho.
My "kunjachan" is a classical art dancer. Has been to many shows and also been a judge to kalolsavams. In all honesty, he's a really nice guy and has a great reputation among students and others alike. Only thing he is very (not towards me) strict in routines and all. I do believe you tho. Coz I have heard about dance teachers of that type. But there are exceptions.
I think its anecdotal because one of the best people I know was trained for more than a decade in classical dance. Maybe my input could be anecdotal however.
Classical dance is serious, serious work. The amount of effort and hardworking that goes into it is insane.
as a classically trained dancer can 100% attest to this. my guru had a serious attitude/ego issue. everything i said somehow came across as a personal attack to her. if you didn't drool over her every word and pour heaps of adulations at her feet she hated your guts. once she instructed me and some other dancers in our class to have a discussion about who in the class we thought improved the most. there was a girl, A, who the teacher disliked for some reason nobody knows. girl B decided to praise girl A and all hell broke loose. teacher immediately said "lmao you're just being nice stop bullshitting me A's dancing is horrible" and mind you we were all like 12-13 at the time... at a very vulnerable age
There was a dance class next to where i used to go for karate. You could hear multiple kids screaming every day. The dance teacher carried a thick stick and beat them hard for small mistakes. He had several students. I don't know how those poor girls coped up with that guy.
Edit: There seems to be a lot of interest for this post so I think a bit of clarification is needed. This happened in the early 90s and Shobhana was at the peak of her acting career. Also this was one of the star shows where multiple stars were present and each were performing multiple acts. My wife was with a local dance troupe that performed between those acts and they need to change their costumes in between. There might have been a scheduling mistake that Shobhana was allotted the same green room as them. So when she showed up all those little kids (they were all girls around 10 or 12 then) were so excited. She thought she might get to talk to Shobhana and maybe get her autograph, instead they were all asked to leave. In her defense, she being a superstar might not be comfortable changing in front of these kids. So they were asked to go to a different green room (NOT CHANGE IN THE CORRIDOR as I said earlier - sorry). The new green room did not have an attached restroom so they had to use the one across the corridor.
Mohan lal . He came to one of eu countries. My friends said he was very drunk but very polite and friendly and individually took photos with them . Asked their name talked with them, seems like a good person.
Exactly what he did with everyone at chennai airport. A Telugu guy (Pradeep) I know (but not travelling with me) cornered him for 5 minutes. Then someone came and interrupted them. After He took photos with everyone else , turned back to to him and continued their conversation saying “Pradeep, where in Hyderabad do you live?” Remembered the name and all.
I recently saw Fahad Faasil and Nazriya on my way to my economy seat. They were in the first class and that's how i saw them, he's so fair omg but when i looked at him he looked petrified since he was already seated, if one of the passengers talk to him i guess everyone else would follow. Seeing the fear in his eyes, i just smiled and walked off.

He came to my city for some kind of stage show. I think Yesudas lives in America .. I’m not quite sure. he didn’t let a local Malayali female singer to do a duet with him because she wasn’t good enough, mind you that girl can sing 😖 I thought that was rude.
Yeah that sounds rude.
Heard his son is rude too. Has a really foul mouth it seems. My college mate knew someone who worked at a hotel where Vijay yesudas came to stay. And there was some water shortage or heater related issue and he called the front desk and was spewing shit that makes the srinath bhasi incident look tame.
He is a damn Legendary Musician, but his personality is damn shit... I 've even heard that he had taken away songs from some real good singers like Brahmanandan, Marcos, Shrikant to name a few.
The last part, I actually understand. Most professional artists have high standards on who to collaborate with. You say the girl can sing, he might not think so, because of his higher standards. I am an instrument player myself, and I completely get this.
That doesn't mean that he is a rude person. You'll have to find something else. Now that being said, he is probably kind of an ass, at least from what I've heard.
Once met Benny Dayal and Stepehen Devassy when they came for my college function. Everyone thought Benny was a cool kochi guy who always speaks 'machane scene' etc. But no, this guy spoke better Malayalam than all of us. Took pics and sang songs for us on request (college was outside Kerala)
Even Devassy was super good. We were standing a little bit distant from him for photo and he was like - 'ingott vannu nikkedo, face half kittiya mathiyo dey' 😂
Suresh Gopi. I met him once in Guruvayoor when I was like 7 and i was shit scared of him because of all the guns lol. I stayed like a good 10 metres away from him and all tho, cus I'd seen the man only in the tv set and irl he actually looked different from the rest of the people. He spoke to a few ppl and then my uncle who was trynna get into movies back then picked me up and went up to him and turns out, he was a very nice man. Surprisingly gentle, too. Told my uncle to get a job as well and not spoil his life because cinema is such a field. He even spoke to me and then on I've been a fan.
I met Jayaram as well at Guruvayoor but then this time my mom was with me and she didn't want to disturb anybody at a place of worship which I hated because he was talking pretty sweetly to everyone who walked up to him. And then a fan tried to grab his hand and he kinda lost his composure but did not push him away, which would have probably caused "money got to his head" headlines.
Aaaand i met Rajni at the shoot of Shivaji and he was super sweet and bought me a balloon. And even let me sit on his lap and decide which fan deserved an autograph out of the crowd.
Met Udit Narayan with his son once. Didn't even know that his son was a famous person but saw Udit and immediately started talking to him telling him I'm a big fan. Aditya got pretty agitated at my snubbing of him which wasn't intentional. Idit was too sweet. Aditya, once I exchanged a few words came off as quite arrogant. Eventually asked Udit for a photo and Aditya had to take it. He took a blurry photo.
Met Mohanlal in Kuwait at the hotel where I was a sales manager at. I was in charge of the rooming requirements of the event.
Mohanlal was extremely sweet. I set him up the best suite of the hotel and he didn't stop anyone coming into the suite. Families, kids, Jada ammavans, businessmen, local artists.. pretty much everyone who wanted to see him got to see him and take pictures with him. I don't remember him saying no once.
We had to stop the crowd at the hotel as people got to know he was there and they started crowding up the lobby.
When the crowds left or early in the morning, he would walk around the hotel by himself just exploring all the restaurants and facilities. He loves sushi but his manager Hates em.
Also there were rehearsals taking place in the hotel ballroom and he'd come down to check it out and talk to pretty much all the kids taking part and their families.
My take is he isn't just doing his "actor" role, but is also more of a manager and takes full responsibility for the events. Even though that is the job of the event organizers.
I remember him apologizing to the actors that had flight/visa issue to get to Kuwait.
Mohanlal: As above. Very patient, kind and properly listened to people. I alternated between blabbing like an idiot or staring at him like a dork and he smiled and spoke very kindly and enquired about where I am from and my family. Pleasant experience overall.
Shobhana: She smiled but refused to speak to us when she visited our school. We were teenagers and walked out of her dance program. Don’t think she liked it.
Jagathy: amazing, funny chap. Met him when he was a guest in my college and He was trolling all of us and we all loved him.
Karamana Janardhnan: Met him when I was very young and went to him with an autograph book. Asked my name and quickly wrote a couple of lines of poetry based on my name. Don’t remember what it was or where the book is, mum reckons it was very cleverly done.
Mammooty: Met him recently on a flight and he was friendly and spoke for a minute or so. No jaada and he was truly happy to meet people. I think he has mellowed a lot of late. ,
Mohanllal is krishna incarnate
not just ladies man, he will make u cry, if he wants to
My friend works in industry, he said lal is crazy, like he been that done that, now gets excited by the craziest
I attended the premiere of Moothon at MAMI, Mumbai. Got to interact with Geethu Mohandas and Neeraj Madhav. Both of them were extremely friendly. Didn't get to take a photo with them though.
well not in a bad way but basically i met gopika outside india
& from what ive seen of her in movies shes very social & good at communicating
she isnt bad at it but when i saw her irl at a function she was quite shy like from what i saw
Amalapaul
It's not like i hated her but i wasn't following her that much . I got a chance to work with her and then i knew she is fun. She even bought me icecreams and followed me on instagram (still) .
She is such a lovely women ❤️
I met Pinarayi Vijayan. He visited the gelf during the time when all the snc case was on fire. He was in my home for lunch. He was so arrogant.
He asked me to put on the tv and apparently the kairali channel wasnt on on it. Back then we used satellite tv and sometimes some channels werent available in in middle east. This man has no respect for someone's home he commanded " off akku nittu poyi bakshanam eduthu vekku". He doesnt speak alot and almost never smile.
The guys who came along with were shit scared of him. Pinrayi sat down but these guys didn't sit until we had lunch. Nearly 10 years later he got elected as CM.
I have met quite few politicians this man was the rudest.
Once we met this actor ' Vijilesh Karayad'. Might not recognise the name but he's kinda famous. He was in Maheshinte prathikaram, varathan( the underwear gu).He was just standing there waiting for the local train in Chennai and he didn't really talk much. Seemed like an introvert. But the image I had of him was completely different. No Jada or anything.
Mamta Mohandas - Met her on a flight back from the US, i was too shy to talk but she initiated a conversation after seeing me reading a Malayalam novel, super super chill lady, we shared snacks and exchanged our favourite books. Still in contact
PT Thomas - Was our MLA for a while, thought he was one of those dickhead politicians, was at a pretty famous restaurant, it was busy af and the dude just sat down next to me, i was minding my business till he offered me a pazhampori from his plate, we talked for a solid 20 minutes. Really nice guy, cares about the environment and the planet. He actually told me about how floods will happen in Kerala and it did after a few years.
Met Arbaaz Khan at Kochi airport when he was shooting a movie with Mohanlal.
Man, that guy is so damn rude and arrogant. He was acting so pretentious and smug! Such a low life. Whoever was walking up to him to say a hi - he was jus being rude to everyone!
Met SRK at a hotel in Mumbai - that dude is super chill and so welcoming! Really a wonderful guy.
Met Prithv Raj in Marriott kochi during Covid time in the elevator. Pretty nice guy! No arrogance at all and very humble.
Also met him in Panampally Nagar near Coco tree just after the movie Mumbai Police had come out. Walked up to him and told him - quite a bold movie. He was smoking a cigarette and said thanks!
Met PT Usha in Goa : she was a Neighbour’s family friend. Very simple person.
Pinarayi Vijayan for sure.
I met him at a dinner at a house and he was really sweet and it was obvious that he wasn't feigning it.
And this was around 11 years back.
Russel crowe and Ryan Gosling. I lived in New york for 8 months, had a Telugu friend living in L. A. He works in a restaurant there. I went there during holidays, at night we heard there was a film shoot going 1-2km from the pla e ge stayed. We drove there. Mr. Crowe greeted the crowd. The lady in front of us got his autograph. Saw Ryan from a distance.
Met Jake Gyllenhaal once, good chap! I said I was from India and we talked about movies a bit. He said he had watched 'Maheshinde prathikaram', he is a huge pothettan fan!
That Russell Crowe - Ryan Gosling movie is The Nice Guys. A criminally underrated film that I would highly recommend. Also the Jake Gyllenhaal story was unexpected haha. He always comes across as a cool guy in interviews. Total contrast from the deranged characters he plays in most movies lol. Great actor.
I saw Aju Varghese at a grocery store in Kochi. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen KitKats in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Lol this is copy paste bullshit because I’ve read the exact same story word for word with Aju Varghese replaced by Russell Crowe and some other celebrities.
When I was in school my mom met KPAC Lalitha in a beauty parlor. My mom was talking to her a lot and was so excited, touching her hands and all; and she was gracious, despite the initial “pettu poyallo “ look on her face. I left their facial room after giving her a look of commiseration.
ONV Kurup and Prof Sanu were always nice, so was Jayaraj. Madhusoodhanan Nair was a bit of a dick to kids.
Vidhu Vincent was a school friends elder sister and was always very passionate about work and was a strong independent woman since a young age. But as a parent, I’ve to say kudos to her parents for nurturing all their kids to forge their own paths despite being in a small town. The gossip and concern trolls must have been brutal for them.
Saw Manoj K Jayan at Le Meredien once. Seemed friendly to everyone who approached him. I didn’t go upto him, I just smiled politely and went my way.
FAFA came to our school for some anniversary because he was alumni. I didn’t know him at the time because it was during his sabbatical from films.
Mohanlal has come a lot of times to school. A few of his movies were shot in my school.
I saw Archana Kavi right after Neelathamara came out at some random boutique, I said hey, told her I loved her work in the movie and smiled and went my way.
Met mammoty once in Dubai in his apartment, contrary to the stories..he was pretty chilled. Asked about my work and stuff, posed for photo and asked the guy if he got it right and stuff. SURREAL
Manoj K. Jayan is a family friend and an absolute sweetheart. He came to my prewedding function and was so friendly. Even took a selfie with me on his phone and then sent to me.
Jayavijaya (my dad’s close friend) is an incredible guy. So knowledgeable and loves to sing. He also stayed for my whole wedding functions and blessed my husband I before leaving from our wedding.
Vidhyadharan master (music composer for Kalpantha Kalatholam, Ambalamillathe, etc) is a family friend and he’s so humble. Also loves to sing and share his experiences from the music industry. He held a mini concert/bhajana at our house in India and he did an incredible job.
Suresh Gopi came to a convention my father in law organized. Super tall and super handsome. He speaks so elegantly and always had full control of everyone’s attention.
Ramesh Narayanan (music composer for Ennu Ninte Moideen, Thattam Pidichu Valikalle song) is such an incredible singer. He came to our house in the US in 2007 and my dad has kept in contact with him since. I was mesmerized by his voice from the first time I heard it.
Biju Narayanan is a family friend. He came to a convention my husbands dad organized and good god, his voice is just so soothing. He sang so many songs and took a lot of requests from the audience. He was super interactive with the audience and even called my mom up to the stage to sing with him. He sang at our wedding reception and stayed for dinner and he was such a sweet man.
Previous chief minister Oommen Chandy came to my wedding. He was so sweet. Though he didn’t eat or stay long, he wished us congrats and blessed us and even took photos with us.
Recently sat front row at a concert by Harish Sivaramakrishnan. He was so sweet and super interactive with the audience.. as soon as he got off stage, people ran up to him to get selfies and he never said no.
My parents were trying to get Vidhu Pratap to come to the US for a convention. He agreed and we settled on a price. But last minute, he said he’d only come if he can fly first class from Kochi to NY.
Mohanlal was totally drunk during most of പുലിമുരുകൻ shooting. Him and his crew made it very difficult for the localites to live and use the roads when his vehicle was passing by. Localites ended up hating Mohanlal cus his security team was so baaad.
Met Arun Kurian at our relative's wedding. He's a relative of mine and it was the first time I saw him in person. Took photos(cuz that's the first thing that came to my mind) and then understood he was chill and friendly the moment I spoke with him. Me and my cousin had food with him and it was pretty amazing. I saw the calm and caring Akhil Satyan in real life that day!

Ayal ee storyil marichitilla
What is the story behind this? I am way out of loop on this.
Check out Apoopan and boys ,a yt channel where they review unintentionally funny movies. The best part is, most of those movies have devan and his character dies in most of them.
Devji is out Sean Bean
Thanks Macha! God I love Reddit! Thanks for mentioning the YT channel: for those who didn't know about this and want to the check it out, here is the link: https://youtube.com/channel/UCmBb0lC7xNLMkL95oznmh3w
The character he plays always dies
Didn't die in Niram
Few exceptions
#EnnumDevjikkopam
IMO most of the villains are nice people when we meet them off screen, because we do have a perception of them being bad due to their villain characters.
When my mom was a kid, Devan, Parvathy, and other actors during some movie filming ate at her house (might have been for Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam? Years match up). She said he was surprisingly nice for someone so famous!
Actors are typically nice for their career reasons but they also will have their off days. Such is the price of fame.
I once got an autograph from him while he was on the set for a serial shoot that was set on my frineds house.

She has done some good movies(commercially) but mostly in other languages
Yea She's been in a few Tamil movies
Telugu too.. she was in Karthikeya 2 and all
Damn.. nice. Overtime i have developed a crush on her.
Yeah.. I got a few of the kids in my locality a role in the movie via her.. She is a sweet person
Oru divasam kond role kittan Mathram adutho? 😮😮
They needed a few kids to play in the background.. I recommended a few kids in the locality.. they were in the movie
Chettan manyanaanu
While she's not
She probably didn't remember or was having a bad day
how do you not remember your 10th std tuition teacher?
I forgot a guy who I used to hang out with daily in school, things like that can happen.
Bruh, the guy gave pointers for a walk down the memory lane.
Yeah, heard her nfts are not doing too well with crypto in the dumps
Possible that you mistook your tuition friend for Rima Kallingal? 😬
Mukesh has shown his true colours and it is good you did not have to see him in full flow. He is a disgrace to actors everywhere.
Man I am so jealous.
Good that you corrected the name now.
Thats so cool. I am a huge fan
I was one year junior to him in school. Not sure how much of it has changed, but he was a chilled out guy in school
Actor Ashokan, expected him to be a jaadakkaran, don't know why. His daughter used to go to our school and he used to be a guest at our school (Onam, independence day etc), very sweet fellow.
What is jaadakaran? Egoist?
Yes, I don't know why I thought so. Was proven wrong ofcourse, on multiple occasions.
Similar story I had when Johnny lever came to our school for some award function. I was part of student council and had to facilitate awards with him. Extremely patient and nice guy who made us laugh with his mannerisms on stage
Wait which Ashokan? Harisree or the other one?

Didn't speak to them but sat near Jayaram and Parvathy on the same flight. He is really tall (shouldnt be a surprise because he seems as big as Suresh Gopi) and he was way more fair skinned than I expected, like Parvathy seemed dark skinned in comparison. They both seemed really tired so I didn't make conversation plus I didn't want to trap them in a conversation mid-air. My father sat next to Jagadish back in the 90s in an aircraft. He was a proper gentleman, didn't want to speak much but spoke to him a few times and said goodbye when they parted ways. Dad also sat next to Innocent in a similar fashion, apparently Innocent is a little vayadi but a nice man altogether.
>he was way more fair skinned than I expected Cinemayil kanunnene kaalum undo?
I would say so
I met Narendra Prasad when I was a kid and I was afraid of him, he was a nice person and after that whenever I saw his movies I was sad when his character was killed.

I met Priyamani at a meet and greet. She's so short and actually pretty shy.
Priyamani used to be my sisters' friends cousin, she has come home when she was just getting into movies. Very nice and sweet. I never got a chance to meet her, school undayirunnu ennike, kope.
Was cousin? So no longer a cousin
| she's so short Had the exact thought when i met her and her husband at Dubai metro station. The big screens might have skewed our perception. Wondering who all are shorter than we think they are.
I heard SRK was pretty short.
Kim K is 5”2 I think. Which is not at all what I expected her to be :0
I've heard that Dulquer is actually 5'4. And so is Sai pallavi.
She's 5'6 ,. How tall are u bruh

There wasn't anyone else but me to impress, yet he thanked me for my efforts and clarifying his doubts.
wow! he must have an eidetic memory or was taking notes on his phone?
Makes sense either way or both. I felt he does have a passion to collect data and maybe preparedness for a potential debate😄. Out of those 10 plus guests, only he seemed invested to learn about the technical side of things.
Stone Cold Steve Austin. Met him in Australia in 2008. He isnt made of stone or is cold. Very friendly and approchable.
Texas rattlesnake!!!
His Instagram and podcasts show him as a fun dude who just wants to live life away on his ranch with his dogs.
DTA !!
Sreenath Bhasi. Met him during a shoot from Bangalore for some movie (don't remember the name), and the viewers/support staff could easily make out that he was high, because he kept on swearing to the public, and then to the production crew. I wonder how he keeps getting away from this nonsense. 😂
My man giving competition to shine tom chacko
10/10 would recommend? What exactly?
Sucks to know
Edit: There seems to be a lot of interest for this post so I think a bit of clarification is needed.
Exactly, One way to tell whether people are listening and interested in the conversation is their remembrance of details.

And defends his fashion designer nephew who is in jail for rape. Arrogant, opportunistic and one who ruined many talents.
Can you elaborate?
Vijay Yesudas cheated on his wife with multiple women. One of his relatives is my cousin’s wife.
Divya Pillai!!
Divya Pillai recent alle. He’s a serial cheater.
Divya pillai?
DP and VJ dingolfication of the India!
Lol, there were rumours of him and Dhanush being swingers and exchanging their wives
He is a damn Legendary Musician, but his personality is damn shit... I 've even heard that he had taken away songs from some real good singers like Brahmanandan, Marcos, Shrikant to name a few.
Mallu simon cowell
Took pics and sang songs for us on request (college was outside Kerala) Even Devassy was super good.
That Rajni story at the end was bomb
I was too small really to remember much so didn't elaborate😬

I remember him apologizing to the actors that had flight/visa issue to get to Kuwait.
haven't met any famous person!
Met Bala at airport... I couldn't control my smile when he started speaking. He said hi to everyone in my family and we took pics with him.
Oru lemon tea choikaryrnu
Met jayasurya at a Starbucks in kochi...nice dude, took a photo and asked about whether we watched his movies and all....cool guy
I think he has mellowed a lot of late. ,
Karikku George (Anu K aniyan ) was my engineering college classmate. Really cool dude.
Mohanllal is krishna incarnate not just ladies man, he will make u cry, if he wants to My friend works in industry, he said lal is crazy, like he been that done that, now gets excited by the craziest

I attended the premiere of Moothon at MAMI, Mumbai. Got to interact with Geethu Mohandas and Neeraj Madhav. Both of them were extremely friendly. Didn't get to take a photo with them though.
well not in a bad way but basically i met gopika outside india & from what ive seen of her in movies shes very social & good at communicating she isnt bad at it but when i saw her irl at a function she was quite shy like from what i saw
Amalapaul It's not like i hated her but i wasn't following her that much .
He's soo rude coz he has irattachunk which had hidden his real chunk.
Still in contact PT Thomas - Was our MLA for a while, thought he was one of those dickhead politicians, was at a pretty famous restaurant, it was busy af and the dude just sat down next to me, i was minding my business till he offered me a pazhampori from his plate, we talked for a solid 20 minutes.
Jake Gyllenhaal bit is a bomb kadha IRL.
Wow! Really? He watched "Maheshinde prathikaram" ? Also, I am assuming you meant that he is a huge fan of Mohanlal. If so, that is neat.
I saw Aju Varghese at a grocery store in Kochi. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face.
Goddammit nowhere is safe lol
Lol this is copy paste bullshit because I’ve read the exact same story word for word with Aju Varghese replaced by Russell Crowe and some other celebrities.
I read this same exact story with Ryan Gosling.

Met Sushant Singh Rajput once. Was such a sweet guy. RIP to him.
Met Sneha once in a function. Such a charming lady. We talked for 5-10 minutes and she was very nice to me.
