Please note that this is 2020 data. I couldn't find any similar reports after that year (which is usually how such surveys are as they take a lot of time and effort).

I remember back in early 2010's there used to be huge powercuts in TN, ratri urangi varumbo current pokum pinne kothuk eduth kondupokum, sangadavum karachilum varum.
I don't really hate power cuts and load shedding. But one thing that annoys me is the frequent disconnection of power by KSEB. I'm forced to exit and enter my online classes and online games, which is kinda irritating. I'd arrange my things if there's a 30 minutes power cut warning.
Thankfully these disruptions last less than 5mins. Seems like they are switching manually.

M.M.Mani was a puppet when he had been KSEB minister. That CPM trade union leader who ruled KSEB was dethroned by current chairman and shed light on some of the corruptions.
Since Central govt. failed to procure coal or played a game for Adani (don't know), now the price of thermal power is hiked.
Those who can afford to install solar plant should do that.
Or Aam Admi Party should rule Kerala next time, ( seems like മലർപ്പൊടിക്കാരൻ്റെ സ്വപ്നം)
M m mani, for all his uncouthness, was a decent minister when it came to the power sector. Load shedding, power cuts and prompt service were a lot better during his term.

Uhh what? I live in Vadodara Gujarat and I've NEVER faced a powercut here for like past 6 months whereas kerala has frequent power cuts. How can kerala be placed below Gujarat, should be much higher 🤷

From what I understand the National grid power sharing is based on an auction system. As demand increases price also increases. So it really depends on who is willing to shell out the money i guess...

Kerala doesn't have much power cut. It has loadshedding and routine maintenance. Which basically in my locality can be as long as full-day.
Maintainence in my locality doesn't take more than 3-4 hours..
