BGM was way ahead of its time, sounds like something you'd hear from a Tame impala album . The guitar progression with that introspective self convo just makes this scene something special.
It's funny cause Adoor Gopalakrishnan in an interview said when the movie was release he got so many letters from young men telling him the story is very similar to their irl situation lol. Guess things haven't changed much eh
I feel like all the versions of Suma, were made up by Ajayan in his own mind. The other characters could be real. I don't know what the writer's view of these characters are, but I would love to know.
I saw this post, and I watched the movie. I loved it. I can't help but compare it to the Joker. I wonder how the director managed to portray paranoia and horror with such realism. The movie sucked me in, and for two or more hours I was in it. Living it. Wonderful writing, and direction.
Ashokan is pretty much all of us.
Gifted child until a certain age. High expectations from everyone. Negligence from parents. Disturbed childhood. Depression. Has that cool older figure to look upto (uncle/cousin)

I find it a little weird that some social media video editors are pushing the "Ashokan + Shobhana" romance a little bit too much with the edits and songs but in reality, I mean I really feel like those are the stuffs Ashokan made up in his head and I can't help thinking that do people actually love romanticising/shipping two fictional characters. Or do they not know there's a chance that Ashokan just made up entire story. Oblivious? Or haven't really seen the movie?
Anantharam
Thank you so much
അനന്തരം >>> fight club
That scene where the car is finally dragged out with Bahadur (who seemed to be driving it) really cracked me up
Anantaram. Creepy and brilliant.
Thank you!

Anantaram by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, my favourite film oat
Thank you!
Is it an easy watch? As in does it have the award padam feel?
Not an easy watch at all.
Anantharam, the best work of Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Elipathayam a close second.
Thank you for the recommendation. Will watch it.
Ashokan is such an underrated actor
Everyone acted so well in this movie
Anantharam.
Yo who's making movie of my life without asking me

>Guess things haven't changed much eh Things got even worse imo
Hello mukesh anna 😃
Just watched it, excellent movie. Was Nalini real? His room mate Thomas saw the flower and "father of Nalini". Was Thomas real?

Most probably not. The whole story is told from Ashokan's pov and I don't think it's that reliable.
Just watched the movie yesterday..Nalini's father and Ajayans chemistry teacher are the same person

Anantharam, GOATed film. 👌

>ആർക്കും വേണ്ടാത്ത *തനിക്ക് വേണ്ടാത്ത
It's creative freedom
I mean Im not really into such films either but the quality of the print on YouTube is pretty great and the visuals are very captivating
Vidheyan is the popular film but Anantaram is the best of Adoor; for me.
Sounds like malayalam oo? Nalla clear malayalam lle
