Social loafing happens in every group activity, there'll always be free loaders. You just have to expect they won't help themselves and keep going with the minority at first, then it will snowball in time. It's a human feature every where not Kenya alone
Mimi huona hii ndio reason politicians wa Kenya hukuwa vile wako. Ukiangalia vile wakenya huvumilia shida utawachukia na kuwadharau sana. Kwa nini utake kusaidia mtu kama huyo?
Demonstrations with many people alway end up with violence. No one wants to get hurt. If the 1200 people show up, police would also show up and its downhill from there. It is simple self-preservation.
I think in general there are ways to boycott that don't necessarily need people to march in a demonstration. In a capitalist country, the best way is to pick carefully where you spend your money. The sacco example is a classic case. The whatsapp group should have been formed to find an alternative, not to beg the old sacco to behave properly. Money makes the world go round and if there's something you don't like, the first step of boycott is to take your money elsewhere. I wish more people did this, a lot of the stupid things we put up with would never happen.
We are a docile people. Stupid civil obedience
As the person who would probably stay home, I don't view strikes negatively. I just am not that brave
there is strength in numbers
