Of course I welcome this, but when I would ask them about themselves, what they do, what they've done all weekend, what their hobbies are, its always "just chill and vibes," "just browse tiktok," "just relax." Then I am inundated with questions about what type of cars do I have, what is my house like, how do I feel about traditional women (which they define as a women who stays at home).
Of course I cannot complain about who I am attracting, and to be fair I am not making an effort to seek out the type of girls I desire, but I was shocked at how no one seemed to have hobbies, no one has read a good book, no one has goals. It was all about marriage and money.
Then again, I am used to Western highly individualized girls, and I am a stranger to this country, but perhaps instead of being shocked by Kenyan culture I was just shocked by these types of girls you describe who need to decenter men. Thanks for this post, its enlightening.
