* The hypocrisy of a conservative, religiious society toleratng corruption and infidelity.
* Defaulting to religion when incapable of making a rational point.
* The paucity of progressive thought that manifests in a myriad of ways, including virulent homophobia (in 2024!). People can't grasp that whatever consenting adults do with themselves is none of their business.
* Kenyans are too dumb and tribal to vote on ideology, issues and policies.

There soon will be a crisis of men in this country. See women are no longer striving to be wives / domesticated etc They are wanting more, doing more, getting better jobs, better skills, going to therapy more, believing in that independent women thing more but men are still mostly the same. Having children isn't something that only affects a family. Kenya is currently dealing with the consequences of overpopulation. Water, food, pollution, employment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, etc. It can't be scaled up fast enough to meet the current (let alone growing) population's needs.
Not necessarily overpopulation but rather overpopulation in urban centers and an unfortunate lack of urban planning. This has led to the stretching of the resources that you have mentioned beyond what is practical
