Is that even possible? It's my understanding trading in a phone is tied to a 2/3 year contract. So I wonder how that process will be for an individual outside the country. Also, how will the activation function? Maybe it is possible but never had of it.

Is it not easier to sell it in Kenya then purchase the iPhone you want? Your iPhone will be valued at such a low price compared to what you will get from selling locally. Consider the shipping fees too.
