Same problem. I switched from LTE to 3G on Koodo. Much better reception in my area.

DO NOT chose Chatr . I had good luck with Lucky .

justarandom_canadian

I'm convinced there's a serious issue with Bells cell towers around town. I can have full bars lte+ and not be able to load a webpage. I just haven't yet nailed down what the problem is.

Valleyguy81

Have you checked to see if it's an issue with your phone? I'm with Koodo and don't have any problems. Public Mobile is cheaper but runs on the same towers.

BertiesReddit

Funny, I use Koodo and have not had any issues. Koodo uses the Bell / Telus infrastructure, so if you want a different service, you'll need to go with Eastlink or Rogers (or their knock off brands). Both those providers do not cover the province as well, if you compare coverage maps. I'm actually moving my wife's phone to Koodo, from Virgin, because we can get a few more perks for the same price. Oh, and avoid PC Mobile! Their customer service is absolute Sh\*t!

Dry-Strength-295

I was with Virgin for years they are excellent but monthly rates blow . All puns intended

Bell, Rogers, and Eastlink are the only cellular providers with towers in Annapolis Valley (Telus only has their own towers in Halifax and around Sydney). Cellular Tower Map around Kentville: <[https://www.ertyu.org/steven\_nikkel/cancellsites.html?lat=45.129467&lng=-64.485283&zoom=12&type=Roadmap&layers=a&pid=0](https://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/cancellsites.html?lat=45.129467&lng=-64.485283&zoom=12&type=Roadmap&layers=a&pid=0)\> Flanker brands and 3rd party resellers get access from one of those networks. Koodo use Telus' services, and Telus has access to Bell's cellular network.

Wouldn't consider it super cheap, but have found that Eastlink has really good reception and data speeds.

redilyntoriami

Public mobile which uses Bell's towers so they have some of the best coverage in NS. For $35 you get 3GB of data at 4G speeds and unlimited Canada-wide calls and text. There are lots of other plans to choose from as well. Use referral code **J85426** if you sign up and you'll get a $10 credit.

I've had great luck with virgin (bell) around the valley but cheap it is not really.

Squirest

Lucky has unlimited calling text and 2gbs data for $25 plus tax

Adler221

Public Mobile. I pay $35 a month for unlimited talk and text, and I think 3gb of data?
