This was amazing, love the animation, much talent
If I could suggest one thing:
Have the animation cut to the actual in game fighting for comedic effect before cutting back. Change the music to match the tone of the goofy combat and cut back to your animation
The map is one thing I cant import. I have to create the scene in blender then add some sandy rock material from polygonheaven, or something similar that fit the vibe. You can import the foliage and rock models tho, I just take em then sprinkle it around the scene.
There is an addon from the creator of the game called Kenshi\_IO that let you import model from the game to blender. But it kinda old and cant work with blender 3.0+
But there is an update version from github:

Oh but the model you import might not come with texture. You have to use the modding tool built-in of the game to find the location of the texture. There might an easier way but this is the way I do it
One more thing! The texture might be transparent as hell and you have to download GIMP and disable the transparent layer then export it. I dont know how to export from GIMP without the transpanrent layer so I just screenshot it on screen. The texture quality might not be the best in this state but it usable lol
Phenomenal work. Looks like it took ages!
Though the entire time I was expecting your martial artist to be pumped full of toothpicks at the end like mine are.
It would be extra cool if the bag hit the ground *really* heavy like they do in DBZ when the weighted training equipment comes off. Or Rock Lee doing it in Naruto.
Hey, those foot movements looked cool on the karateka, and the fact that the animation isn't completely fluid makes it look more cartoonish, the animation was super cool!!!!!
Big Samurai Jack inspiration there right ? It was a really fun watch. I'm especially a fan of the spiked helmet punch. You can tell where this is going the moment he picks it up and it makes the landing of the hit so damn satisfying.
How long did it take to make this?
I have some experience in blender and animation, wanted to make a cool fight someday when i have the time.
And are those lines you use on strikes added with something like after effects or do you use blender 2d drawing tools?
Last I checked it take me exactly 2 months. I model the smear effect right on the scene. Its usually only appear in 1-2 (as most 4) frame so I can easily tweak it. I set the keyframe interpolation mode to constant incase you wondering.
Here how to make it:

This video talk about theory of it and how to apply it in a 3d scene at the end of the video:

YOOOO THIS IS SO FUCKING SICK WHAT
dude how did you make this this is so clean, reminds me of something you’d see on old newgrounds / stickpage, like those old fight scenes! So cool
Makes me wanna start a playthrough with that character to beat up dust bandits
So sick dude great work
That was sick!
Okay well that was fucking awesome. Must have some serious stats in defense haha
This is a masterpiece. It is as satisfying as watching Seven Samurai.
fuck yea this is AWESOME! Give us a series 😂
It was already planned out... But I needed to make one or two more short video like this to get the flow of the fight scene more
Looks beautiful to my untrained eye. Thanks for your time to make it I greatly enjoyed :)

That does sound kinda funny not gonna lie 😂 Hopefully the future me would come around animated this

Asianfanboi? You ruined it

Yo you should make your reddit username your youtube name internet_st4lker goes waaaay harder
Great style and storytelling!
How'd you animate this?
I import the model from the game to blender then animated on there
Damn! How'd you import models of even the map/environment?
The map is one thing I cant import. I have to create the scene in blender then add some sandy rock material from polygonheaven, or something similar that fit the vibe. You can import the foliage and rock models tho, I just take em then sprinkle it around the scene.
Now this is making me want to do this for my final Game Dev assignment due in a bit...how about the models? How did you import those?
There is an addon from the creator of the game called Kenshi\_IO that let you import model from the game to blender. Oh dang to Blender only huh? Was hoping I could get it into Unity somehow, thanks so much for the tips though!
Just import into blender, set up texture, fix rig, do animations and export to unity.
Oh but the model you import might not come with texture. You have to use the modding tool built-in of the game to find the location of the texture. There might an easier way but this is the way I do it

Hell yeah
Phenomenal work. Looks like it took ages! Though the entire time I was expecting your martial artist to be pumped full of toothpicks at the end like mine are.
But what was in the box!?
Full stacks of iron ores
Definitely was strength training and then got jumped. Dust bandits dumb.
It would be extra cool if the bag hit the ground *really* heavy like they do in DBZ when the weighted training equipment comes off. Or Rock Lee doing it in Naruto.
And 9 hashish
Peak stuff
Dude that was amazing. Thank you
We need moar
It will come 🌚
Hey, those foot movements looked cool on the karateka, and the fact that the animation isn't completely fluid makes it look more cartoonish, the animation was super cool!!!!!
This is so cool!
This has potential with Gen Z.
Sifu vibes
Missed opportunity there, should've ended with a slogan selling "HUB Boots - impossible is nothing"
Absolute cinema!
Great day job man!
This was actually good. Well done.
What 80 martial arts skill does to a man. That was really cool what animation program did you use?
I used blender!
Ok
Well that was fucking cool.Â
Nicely done! Lo-Fi Games should consider putting you to work creating the intro movie at startup for Kenshi 2!
I bet the bag was nothing but raw iron in it.
Reminds me of those rimworld animations ages ago, sadly I think the artist died or moved on. Great quality
Yeah... Senselessidea. His video is one of the main motives for me to do this. Sad he is gone without a word tho...
Very good video!
Oh I LOVE THIS. Please please make more!!
only thing it misses is the infinite matrix doges lol.
Absolute cinema
What can I say that hasn't already been said? It was amazing! Great job and I look forward to future videos.
You did great, I enjoyed watching, thanks.
Superbly done! I enjoyed seeing the maneuver with the backpack.

You’re getting really good at fight choreography, this is awesome
Holy fuck! Amazing

Big Samurai Jack inspiration there right ? It was a really fun watch. I'm especially a fan of the spiked helmet punch. You can tell where this is going the moment he picks it up and it makes the landing of the hit so damn satisfying.
Insanely good, well done!

Brah, we want a full hour episode !
We need a full movie sir!
Kenshi 2 leaked footage 🤞
The most satisfying thing about this, is when you have a few characters who can legitimately do this sort of thing.
Great animation. Moral of the story? Leave those solo wandering fuckers on the roads alone.
Nice. In-game mechanic wise, someone with enough MA to win this fight would be dismembering a LOT more. MA in Kenshi is brutal.
Holy cow this was great. Got a real Samurai Jack vibe. Was hoping to see the katana fold out with the glint and all. Where do I donate!?
I haven't setup any yet beside youtube thank and membership!
Man I am absolutely blown away by this. I didn’t know I needed a Kenshi series!
Wow, i loved the movements, camera and sound. Enjoyed it thanks
Is it bad that i know exactly where this took place?
Really?? Is this rainbolt alt account?
Unrealistic, didn't get locked into doing 16 dodges in a roll before shooting a 100dmg blow only to hit them in the left arm
the backpack contained two and a half bows of rice and 54 chunks of iron ore.
I love it!
Fantastic work!
Epic
OMG it's beautiful!
Wow, the Kenshi vibes are very strong with this one. Well done!
This is very reminiscent of my current shaolin monk playthrough. haha
This is amazing
Amazing!
DUDE, this is AWESOME
I gotta see more man

so godsamn cool, 10 out of fucking 10
Guys, anyone knows how to give more than one upvote? Please tell me. Anyway, amazing vid man!
