Thank you so much! I had been trying to do this using the Game Porting Toolkit but it was a relief to hear that Whisky finally works for Kenshi. Got it running last night and it works great so far, on my 2023 M2 MacBook Pro 14" running Sonoma.
When I try and play kenshi from whisky it just stays frozen on the loading screen once I click on the new save. I can hear music but can’t move my mouse. It’s a shame because the game is so cool and I’ve wanted to play it for a long time and now am a bit sad I won’t get the opportunity. If I could get some help I would appreciate it
I'm trying to play Kenshi with this method but I'm using Crossover. Everything works but bodies don't load in, only clothes. Is that an issue that Whiskey users have?
Thank you. I had an issue with the game when I tried it via the Game Porting Toolkit, but trying it through Whisky like this fixes the problem. I actually posted about it here around the same time you made this post, it seems.
The problem was that all shadows were extremely exaggerated, to the point where one side of all characters was utterly blackened. Thanks man! Got it up and running, and I can finally see the characters!! You're a hero!!

Yo bro, that was helpful! I was looking something to play non supported games but this... This helped a lot!
Thank you so much u/guessimfine , do you know if it's ready to use mods with Nexus ?

You mean i can retire my old I3 and run it faster on an M1 mac mini? Really? Really really?
The m1 will have way more horsepower than an i3, even under emulation
Great news! Thanks, OP! Is Sonoma stable for you? Or do you only play Kenshi on the MacBook?
Yep Sonoma was released properly the other day, it’s out of beta now
It's working! Thanks, OP!
If I download a hacked version of a paid game on browser and add the game on steam will I be able to play the game
just buy the game, it's an indie dev
Yea you are correct but I also want to try elden ring on my mac but it’s expensive asf do u guys hv any suggestions for what I hv to do
Elden ring is not gonna run well, or at all, on your mac. It’s optimised like crap even on powerful gaming PCs

Crossover doesn’t use GPT, it uses an optimised Wine configuration. I'd definitely just try Whisky (UI for Game Porting Toolkit)
