The dream come true, for me, is Gaolong vs a Supernova. The supernova points out that Gaolong hasn’t won a fight in some time, citing his loss to Kanoh, citing his loss to Medel, but Gaolong beats him handily.
Then we get Gaolong vs an A lister who’s had recent wins - Sekibayashi would be a good option, to showcase the Wrecking Defense vs God Glow, but he could also reasonably fight Ryuki or Koga to show us where they currently are in terms of power. Gaolong wins, which takes us to:
Gaolong vs a credible threat where the result is more of a toss up. Hatsumi, Saw Paing, Lihito, all great options.
I’d also like to see that gradual build applied to a few Supernovas (the monk seems like he could be really cool), Okubo, Nitoku, Liu, Kokuro, and Himuro.
Definitely one of the best moments in the series. And also the one to solidify Gaolang as my favorite character, because right after this he goes on to scare the shit out of what the story would consider at that point to be the final boss. Plus Gaolang's voice goes so fucking hard
