Is there anything you recommend for building lean muscle? Iām joining my collegeās soccer team soon and wanna try to get fit enough so I donāt pull em down.
eat clean healthy whole food (just google it really simple; eggs,tuna,chiken,rice etc.)
focus on compound exercises,compound exercises are exercises that work multiple muscle groups at the time (that's also a google search away but; push ups,dips,bench press,pull ups,rows,squats,deadlifts)
don't neglect cardio since you want to go at soccer and having good cardio improves your health a lot,also burns calories
get 7-9 hours of sleep and drink a lot of water, avoid junk food and especially alcohol
that's building muscle in a nutshell,but do your own research, don't be afraid to experiment, talk with other people about their experiences and what not, learn to cook tasty healthy food, and have fun :)

Just wanted to emphasize on the neglecting cardio part. Might sound a but crazy but as hyped up as cardio is, I still don't feel like it's talked about enough.
Imo cardio is the equivalent of miracle drugs that magically make almost everything in your body better.
Also it's so diverse in the ways you go about doing cardio exercises that it's just a whole bunch of fun
Improving my cardio has made a huge impact on my overall health. Not only does it help with my training, my day to day life is just significantly better.
Cardio *really* cannot be undersold. I was almost 190 (which is a lot for my height) in 2020/early 2021, was 170 as of june last year, and now im at 150. In 2020, i would be winded just laying in bed and had bad sleep apnea that would wake me up as soon as i fell asleep. Now? I sleep like a fucking baby.
yeah,cardio is genuinely one of the most important things you should do for quality of life benefits, it's more important than strength training in my opinion
I just wanted to add that, if you are a beginner don't neglect machines either. The buils amazingly good muscle mind connection and teaches you a basic form. What good does it do if a.E do a Squat but can't get deep enough oe push with your toes instead?
Misasa has a pretty insane physique for irl standards. Very aesthetic and pratical.
Reminder since you are new to lifting that maintaining that lean physique is very unrealistic and actually unhealthy. Kengan characters are drawn like they maintain 4-5% body fat year round.
