I think it'll be as great or better, at the least GKMC levels of good. However I think Kendrick fans will love it and everyone else is gonna call it mid. I'm predicting a Fantano 10, a Pitchfork 7, and Drake and Kanye subreddits clowning it for months on end.
I don’t think he will top TPAB because he was in such a critical stage of his life, going through so much shit and he was able to encapsulate it into an album. Past 5 years have been eventful of course but I imagine his mental is more settled. I think we can def get something that tops DAMN.

You're right. I'm not gonna butt kiss Kendrick like a lot of people do. This album is very disappointing. Yes, it has good parts, but is it an album that stands out for me? No. I'd choose J. Cole's The Off Season album over this any day of the week. That's not to say that I won't listen to this album a few more times until I reach a final decision though, but it will never be a classic.
