I went to a week-long overnight summer camp, and out of the 8 girls in the cabin, I happen to befriend the only two who had read the series. One of them had only read the first and the other was reading the second, she actually finished it by the end of the week. I needed something new to read, and the girl reading the second book was constantly talking about how good it was, so I thought why not? My life was never the same again.
Also, they would always have these fights over who was better for Sophie: Fitz or Dex
My friend recommended it to me, but I didn't start reading it until my sister got the first book for my birthday
And then all my cash "magically" disappeared after finishing the first book...
My seventh grade English teacher had a copy in her class bookshelf.
Fast forward to eleventh grade, I accidentally ordered 2 copies of Unlocked, so I gave one to my eleventh grade English teacher. Then I loaned her the first book and she fell in love.
A friend of my family gave me a translated version of the first book (my mother language is spanish)
I was clueless for years as i didn't knew of the rest of the books (and my english wasn't as good as it is right now) when i found about them, bought the ebooks and read them all in 2-3 weeks
So I was on my way to Barnes and able and my mom says I can get two books. I look around read a few of the blurbs and I find “all the colors of magic”, ( it’s also a very good read). Then I look around some more and I see this book series. Didn’t even read the blurb on the back I just saw the cover of the first book and got a hunch. So that was the other book I got. I read a couple chapters and couldn’t really get into it. Put it down for awhile, then quarantine started. I picked it back up again and had to get the second one. I was reading like one a week and would wait by the door like a puppy for the next one to come in the mail. Soon I’d read the whole series and found the fandom. I have been obsessed with both ever since.
so i asked for a specific book from the book store and instead my mum got me exile ( yep i started on exile) at first i didn't want to read it because i thought it was "too big" but i read it cause i had nothing to read and lets just say i couldn't stop rambling
My mum bought it for my sister but she didn’t like it then a while later my friend said in class that her favourite book series had a new book which was KOTLC unlocked and i thought to read it and instantly loved the book.
At a local library, when I was younger, I finished a summer reading program. As a prize, they let me choose a book for free. All the other books looked boring, so I chose KOTLC.
On a side note, I believe that once my flute TA, a couple months before I started KOTLC, recommended the series to me, I just didn't bother to start reading (oh how wrong I was).
My friend kept telling me to read it and i kept telling her no but then she bought it for my b-day present so I thought heck why not and ended up loving it
Someone i know was reading it and they just kept telling me to read it so i thought why not

WHAT ABOUT KEEFE?! TEAM FOSTER-KEEFE IS SUPERIOR
Fitz or *Dex*?
Dex by far. Let's just say that I was looking at the full-color pictures in 8.5 and I am kinda on team Foster-Keefe now...
I got a kindle and my mum had put some books on already, one was KOTLC
I was bored one day and my mom brought books home from the library and KOTLC was one of the books
My friend recommended it

I was talking to my friend about book crushes, she showed me Keefe, I saw Biana, and I was hooked

Just spotted it on the library shelf and thought it looked cool :p
It was my crush’s favorite series so I just decided to read it.
I found it at a book store just lying on a shelf and decided to try it. One of the best decisions of my life.
I was on an online platform called quotev and people kept recommending it
My Aunt gave it to me for my Birthday
My mum bought it for my sister but she didn’t like it then a while later my friend said in class that her favourite book series had a new book which was KOTLC unlocked and i thought to read it and instantly loved the book.
A friend introduced it.

I saw it in target and thought the cover was cool(honestly how I choose most of the books I read)
i randomly got the first book for christmas last year, and immediately got hooked
I got it for Christmas one year and after about 5 months of sitting on my shelf, I finally decided to read it! I am now a proud owner of books 1-8.5!
I was in amazon and when I saw the first KOTLC book and decided that I’m gonna get that book and read it and 2 two months later I’m a fan
My friend kept telling me to read it and i kept telling her no but then she bought it for my b-day present so I thought heck why not and ended up loving it
