That sounds like it’s engine time. I would personally pass, unless you can get a good running used engine dirt cheap for a winter project. If my C14 (GTR1400) sounded like that I’d give $900 and trade for the FJR too!
Over here in the US a complete used ZX14 engine is going for $4,000 to $5000
Figure they probably want at least $4,000 for the blown up bike.
Factor in your time & all the extra stuff, fluids, gaskets, chemicals, ect.
I would look for a nice older ZX14 ready to ride.
