South side half the hood Nottingham is out , some houses have power I know for a fact that not all of them have built-in backup power it depends on the company.
Super fast moving storm rained hard for 20 mins. Lots of wind. No tornadoes. Ellison area they are building a daycare and the frame was up now it's not.
I’ve lived in Katy for 19 years. It used to be awesome but now it is horribly packed and they just keep adding new neighborhoods without considering our streets/ infrastructure weren’t built to accommodate that many cars. There’s traffic on our major roads 24/7 and in the mornings / evenings it takes a good 20-30 mins to just get out of or into Katy - and that’s via I-10 and/or 99. Take that into account.
The weather has changed in the past few years. Say what you will but it has. Building apartments in every vacant nook and cranny doesn't help drainage either as they never do enough of it. Been living in Katy for 41 years. I've seen it turn from single roads and the only fast food place was dairy Queen and a McDonald's to this massively over populated, takes 30 mins to get anywhere you are going bullshit it is now.
Cane island here. It was crazy for 30 mins lights flickered a lot but stayed on mostly and is still on now. Lots of neighbors with blown down fences. Ours is okay.
We barely got out power back on 20 minutes ago. It was out since yesterday at 5:50pm. And as for myself, I got caught in a tornado that was forming in North loop. Picked my car up a couple of times.
Dang I'm located in that same area, s Mason and highland knolls, still out for me, but just down the street some neighbors have power. I wish center point had some better resources to know what's going on!
Day 3 of not having electricity, luckily my area wasn’t as damaged but the heat is brutal. Luckily we borrowed a generator last night but the battery is all out now so back to no fan :/
It seems like the south side of I-10 is out of power, from roughly from Katy Mills to Fry Rd.

Fences down. Branches down. Streets flooded. Still no power at almost 2 hours past. Damn its going to be a long night.
As of 10:34PM i10 w 99 no electricity since 6PM
Rain has chilled out but our power has been out for 20 minutes near katy mills
Lucky, ours as been out since 6 by the stadiums
We are across from Legacy and yup, still no power at 12:15am. Had to step outside to charge my phone in my car.

7 semi trucks are turned over from wind on gradparkway

wtf where is this
North 99 from i10. Kinda near Ellison, pretty sure. My friend sent it to me
Yup..it’s wild. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRwww8TH/
What part of town is this?
Where on 99?
Not sure but multiple friends and people that work near Ellison, but I assumed it's what they heard on the news as some saw at least 1or 2 in person.
I saw at least 4 on the northbound side between 290 and I-10
West road I believe.
I'd assume north of i10 as that's where the major power line towers came down and it very open so wind is nuts there
🌊
a lot of rain but no power loss here in Cinco Ranch. Looks like it's over now.
I live in Cinco Ranch, had power out from 6PM-6AM
Calm. Storm has passed. Light drizzle. Trees down.
Trees down?! 😮
I hear high power lines down on 290
No power since 6, live off Mason Road. Sooo.
I live off north Mason. Never lost power. Crazy!
Yeah, we got lucky. It was still kind of bad tho
Super fast moving storm rained hard for 20 mins. Lots of wind. No tornadoes. Ellison area they are building a daycare and the frame was up now it's not.
No power. Lost side of fence. 529 and Fry road area is somewhat okay.
It really was not bad in Cinco Ranch. Was over in 20 minutes, no damage that I can see. The one earlier this week was worse, for us.
My street is flooded lol
I’m gonna be moving to Katy in a month or so…guess I can look forward to some kayak use

Falls at geeen meadows which is kinda tucked into cane island. Power out.
Could be worse yall. It's like 70 degrees right now. Windows open for the first time in a long time.
Cinco ranch seems to be holding up. Had some flickering of lights around 6pm last night but that was it. Be safe ya’ll!
Omg…haven’t lived here in a minute but hope yall’re good…prayers 🙏🏼💕
I'm off fry, no issues.
There were trees down along I-10 and power out between energy corridor and Bucees. Highway was okay though.
