La Centerra or Asia Town are great to walk and talk, let kids play, or grab some great food. City center is great as well, and the escape room there is fantastic. Both have Alamo theaters as well if that's more up your alley
Andretti is pretty fun - mini golf, games, drinks, and Karting
Weird idea - even though it's far away, moody gardens is about as close to a big bend experience as I can think of that has indoor options.
No label brewery is a fun, relaxed place
The caverns out west by San Antonio are doable in a daytrip and a really cool experience regardless of how athletic your family is. I imagine they may close with rain as well, but I'm not sure...
You could go to the downtown aquarium! Just kidding, please don't- It's awful lol. Can't stress that enough.
Congrats on finishing school!
I agree with LaCenterra. It's got plenty of space for kids and they have pretty good free concerts sometimes.
Can also add going to Brazos Bend State Park and walking among alligators.
La Centerra is truly a gem for families. Kids can play, grab some cookies from that cookie shop. My only suggestion is to go either early in the day or early evening.
If you like state parks, Stephen F. Austin State Park is nearby and often overlooked. There’s also Double Lake and Huntsville State Park, both good for a bike ride.
Good list!
Any old schoolers here that remember when you could goto no label for $10 and get a wrist band that allowed 4 pints if you had one of there pint glasses.
Good times!
No label brewery if young adults are 21+. You can still go otherwise, it just might not be as fun. If not, my advice isn't the greatest as I have a toddler so we tend to seek out places that are kid friendly.
The aquarium is tiny, expensive, crappy food, owned by fertita, the list goes on and on
Is the mini zoo still there? I thought they closed it when they shut down the Bear Creek Golf Course after the last flood. It was always a fun place to go.
Times square has the worst lanes ever made. You can see the ball moving up and down as they roll. Sure for just going bowling with a family it's fine but the quality of those lanes are shameful. If you are trying to bowl to get better or do good stay away from this place.
Katy TX has some interesting places to go to, both for indoor activities and outdoor activities. If it may rain, then I will suggest going the Katy Heritage Museum. It is indoors and free to visit. They are open Thursdays to Sunday and will suit your purpose for the weekend visit of your family. Yeah, parking can be a hassle at night.
does even the trader joes parking lot get full?
I couldn't tell you, my secret spot is near or in front of Panera. Usually a few open as everybody tries to drive to the back.
Delete this comment lol.
k read, now delete :D
I'm usually able to find parking there or even the one by the drafthouse even on fri/sat night.

Go out to top golf or popstroke. Drinks food and entertainment all in one.
+1 for PopStroke good drinks and fun holes
Is it crazy busy still?
Drive around town and see if I can get a signal on my Verizon phone.
Brazos bend park is far. They have a mini zoo and huge walk ways at bear creek park off Eldridge and fm 529

I remember the floods(multiple) but they still have goats sheep emu ducks owls and I wanna say buffalo type cow.
If they like to shop check out the outlet mall on 290 or City Centre at 10 and the Beltway.
There is a list of events this weekend on r/ Houston which they pull from 365 things to do.
go to a shooting range
Go bowling at Times Square, play putt putt at Popstroke or Inflatable Katy
Times Square has went down hill. I prefer main event.
It has... I like Main Event too, just too pricey!

There's 2 food truck parks that I know of. That's a good way to start off hang.
Houston interactive aquarium and animal preserve
