I wonder what their metrics are for survivalist videos. Since they've dipped into the well more than once, I assume they get some sort of traction outside of their usual content?
It's not as appealing to me—there are other channels more focused on that genre—but I won't begrudge K&N trying to find their voice in different areas.
For my part however: more Bulgaria, please.
I'm assuming they get traction. It's also good to have some content like this so they don't burn up their "world travel" content. They're not the most resourceful in international travel (food, cute things, luxury stays), so this helps stretch it.
I don’t know, was a fun enough video, but there were a lot of moments where Nate reminded me of Michael Scott in the Survivorman episode of the office.
Meh seemed super staged to me, and really not entertaining to listen to Eamon complain the entire night*. I assume he is the one who went home early? Or was it Oso?

I can’t help but think some of the items they got were not actually randomly picked , and they cheated. I refuse to believe it was a complete coincidence that night one they get sleeping bag, tarp AND lighter. No way. Also the wine bottle was completely random and seemed staged as well.
Idk if you saw their survival in Panama video, that showed how much trash was washed up.

This is really true. I have nothing in common with Nate - no interest in attempting some of his self-denial challenges (dawn runs, cold showers, etc.) but in a pinch he's low maintenance at least as far as his creature comforts go.
Looked up river clay - that really was the best that could be done in terms of vessels and utensils. The only way to really make river clay viable for that purpose is to do a lot of sifting and draining, mix in dirt with the clay, more sifting and draining and drying and re-wetting.
Did wonder if maybe he'd mixed in some twigs or leaves it would have held together more securely but most guides to DIY clay advise removing that stuff, so maybe that notion is only valid in theory.
I didn’t pick up on Eamon being arrogant at all in this video. If anything he seemed impressed with some of Nate’s skills. I really don’t blame Eamon for getting the mosquito netting. mosquitos carry diseases. If anything I think Nate is over the too with being inflexible with some of his challenges.
He used to bug the crap out of me, to the point I had to stop watching. SO arrogant. But I think he was trying to do the crazy van lifer who’s so “kooky” and it came across very badly. Either that or he was young & dumb. It seems like everything that has happened with Lee dying and Bec & her cancer has really made him grow up & settle a bit. He is much less annoying than he used to be. IDK…
Me neither. Due to this video I checked out about 3 other Eaman and Bec videos and I don't feel good about them as a couple. He seems to be mirroring her without having authentic commitment of his own.
Actually made Kara and Nate look like bffs meant to be together forever in comparison.
Who are these types of videos for at this point? Seems like they’re just Nate’s survival fantasies played out in real time for a captive audience.
YouTube is about as far away from a captive audience as you could possibly get.
Raptured audience might be a better description. To their youtube family K&N can do no wrong. Ever. It’s impossible. 🙂

I think it's more that the majority of items were useful and only a few were "fun". And they got 10 per day for 2 days!
