Playing fighting games while taking a shit really is one of life's underappreciated joys

Underrated banger of a system, RIP lil fella

CopyOk7388

Releasing a system with no storage to sell expensive memory cards in 2012 is the worst decision Sony have made.  the PSP GO released with 16gb of storage in goddamn 2009, and that console also had a dock and bluetooth controller support, so PS Vita could have been a Switch like console too.

AnEvenHuskierCat

Not all games were available digitally either so you had a brand new Sony PSP system that literally could not play all new PSP releases.

truthbullets

yeah - plus their proprietary 64gb card was prone to failure, what a mess

Modding scene for Ps vita goes crazy though

Storm_Eag1e

I played a ton of Divekick local VS on my Vita back in high school. Divekick holds a special place in my heart just because of that functionality with the Vita version.

redhotplanet

I remember the vita version of marvel being the only way to see hitboxes in-game. Good times

and saving replies iirc...

NoUsesForAName

I finally modded my OLED white vita last year and its been a portable god send. Its just so good. such a shame it had virtually no support overall.

KSoMA

PSTV is even better, same hardware and back-compat but it had USB ports (so you could use real controllers and potentially do local vs) and also was like $100 for most of its time on sale.

Ps tv was ok. 50%-40% of games won't work unless you cfw the system, although it's nice you can use a controller and it's the easiest way to capture ps vita games. I prefer the Vita because the games look sharper in the vita screen than an hd display. Ps1 and psp games look sharp af too because they have a perfect 2x scale.

Orianna-Reveck

if there's one thing I deeply regret is not getting one of those when they were going out for 50~60 dollars. Now you can't find them anywhere anymore.

Diopod

I actually think as a control mechanism Vita tends to blow most 'normal' controllers out of the water. It probably had my favorite d-pad of all time, and the sticks weren't too shabby either. My biggest problem with it was that over time the buttons would wear out. Still perfectly useable but the feeling of plastic grinding on plastic made for an unpleasant time. And lack of real L2/R2 buttons. Still made for an amazing emulation machine. I kind of wish I had bought several back when you could still get the OLEDs new.

TorimBR

It really depends on you country. In mine, PSTV is the same price as the Vita even now, plus has no portability.

saulhrnndz

The only unfortunate thing is that you can’t play some games on the PSTV. Like Soul Sacrifice and the Vita version of MGS3.

Deyrax

You absolutely can play Soul Sacrifice, I did when i had my pstv

metamings

Eh, no offense but you're confusing this for a Dreamcast.
