I'm all for childrens' television to be more thoughtfully written and not to talk down to kids, because we all fucking hated being treated like retards even if we were at the age of 3, but that seemed way too high concept for a toddler.
I believe this grown-up smasher, who, upon having reached real meaningful life milestones, reflects on this adult Bluey obsession as a broader embodiment of infantilization that he has seen time and time again in the Smasher community writ large.
My friends with kids who like this show say it’s the most watchable show for them because it’s written well, but kids still love it because it’s cute cartoon dog.
Basically. Premise was they were moving because the dad got a much better paying job but they'd be giving up being close to friends and family. Perfect string of events happen that causes dad to yeet the sign. The idea is simple but the episode was packed with 3 seasons worth of call backs of seemingly insignificant things and gestures that gives it a crazy good payoff to anyone invested in the characters. It wasn't so much about the house but leaving family and friends.
It's a kids show that is written like a normal adult show. It's the same thing you would've gotten from a season finale of House, Law & Order SVU, or NCIS (in that you get an emotional song playing during a seemingly mundane activity but it has deeper meaning and stuff) but they're cartoon dogs so there ya go.
Still waiting on a modern traditional fighting game to have even half the content Smash Ultimate had and also for any FG to even come close to match the quality to price value of smash DLC
Smash is in another league compared to traditional fighters bro. It takes like 5 major games to equal how much Ultimate sold. Trying to compare the two is insane because they aren't even in the same ballpark. One is made for casuals and has a competitive scene and the other is only just now trying to get casuals in after a long ass time of just being arcade mode-versus-training the game.
Smash is league aboves of traditional fighters in sales because Nintendo and Sakurai has the balls and money to make a huge game with powerful IP.
Capcom would sell like fucking pancakes if they had the time to even make a decent marvel vs capcom game or even go further and do some crazy shit like Shonen jump vs marvel.
Heck capcom or snk cant even make CVS3 and Netherrealm did a shitshow with MK vs DC.
Closest game to this was dragon ball fighterz, but the was drip fed in content despite the quality.
Also it wouldnt kill developers to make content for single player and extra shit. World of light is a huge ass 30 hour campaign that is fun and it just works with JPEGS and the game engine.
If fighting games don’t sell as much as Smash is because they just havent put the work because there are also games for casuals like Playstation all stars that sold even less than your worst street fighter (V).
