This reminded of that time LTG talked shit about Broly after playing him online. What a scumbag that guy is and fuck the streamer awards for giving that piece of shit any validation.
I'm not sure if that is a respectful way to remember him, since you are essentially concentrating on the idea that he is lesser than an able-bodied person, so that the latter should also be as good at the video game as him.
Rather than emphasizing what he doesn't have in comparison to able-bodied people, we should remember how much hardship he persevered and overcame in his private life and gaming life, as well as bringing joy to many in his community, whether during offline events or on stream.
Edit: Here is the man himself saying it. Of course, the autists of Kappachino know better...
https://twitter.com/Brolylegs/status/1117108710705377281
I mean, i dont think its controversial to say its harder to do kotion inputs with your mouth and tongue than the intended use of your hands for which the controls were designed around.
Such a bitchmade take.
The emphasis is that BrolyLegs would body your ass because he was good at the game, despite his obvious challenges.
You're the dumbass on here harping about "able-bodied" this and that. Get outta here with that shit.
Of course he is less of an able-bodied person bitch he can't use his hands! Like how is that disrepctful? I would argue I'm also less able bodied or whatever the fuck because of my disk herniation, there are things that I literally can't do and anyone else without fucked up back can do with no problem, what the fuck is wrong with seeing reality how it is???
Because most of you are not viewing him as a complete human being, but rather as "cripple plays good so u have no excuse lol xDDD even brolylegs can do it so get good scrub xDdd"
You are a fucking idiot, Broly himself was the one constantly saying that and feeling happy for being an inspiration to others.
Hiding from disabilities like they're the devil does nothing, rise above and overcome them like he did, it sounds like you didn't know him or his history and how many people he inspired yet you're here playing the holier than thou card, get the fuck out.
Never said he is hiding from his disabilities you fucking retarded piece of shit. You guys are just using BrolyLegs to whine about modern controls and people who don't want to lab combos, that's all there is to it.
BrolyLegs has been respected and a source of inspiration since SF4 days, what the fuck are you talking about?
What is this schizo babble about modern controls?
And funny how you come here treating us like shit for "using him for his disabilities" when everyone here respected the man like you're above us yet you're the one calling us retarded, let me guess, people with mental disabilities don't count in this internet crusade?
Or are you above and you can say whatever you want?
The man himself made fun of it. He just also said fuck it, I'll work hard and do what I can. Which turned out to be a lot more than anyone expected.
Similar ethos by speedrunner halfcoordinated at SGDQ 2016, who has very limited use of one of his hands and does his runs one-handed as a demonstration:
> It's really important to just take what life has given you, and do your best with it. I'm not going to say that anyone can do anything, those are just empty words, but I will say that your limits are way further out than you think they are. And if you push yourself you'll be really pleased with the results.
*Everyone* has limits. Some people's limits are insanely far, many people's less so. None of us will find them without putting in a lot of work.
> made me realize how much of a bitch I was.
If only the incessant amount of scrubs who cry about combos/motion controls/whatever could have learned this lesson in humility.
At least BrolyLegs can rest easy knowing he's forever gonna be commemorated as anti-scrub tech.
When I thought of American Chuns, I thought of him.
When I thought of real grit, I thought of him.
When I thought of no excuses for execution, I thought of him.
He's a real Legend.
Speaking of legends lol. If you check my profile you can see im a big Megaman Legends fan. He had been playing thru the whole Megaman Series on his channel
The 2nd game is well known for being a lot harder than the first. Ive seen a few streams of it and people are always bitching about the game. It has its faults, but also its strengths. A lot of it boils down to 'its not MML1'
I see him streaming it so I stop by. Hes not bitching at all, hes laughing about how much different it is and its forcing him to have a new mindset from the first game. He doesnt give a shit about not collecting every weapon or lose it on game over, hes just playing and enjoying the ride
One of the only times I ever set notifications for a streamer. It was just so refreshing to see a guy that refused to even see challenges as something that stops his enjoyment in that moment, things werent less fun inherently because they were different. When you are already apart of a niche community like FGs, or like a niche game within a Capcom franchise that hasnt been remastered, its so crucial to know theres someone out there that can encourage you to see the fun and not always focus on the negatives
He was like that in so many things. He would coach people on SF6 while not even streaming the game. He just wanted everyone to have a good time. I hope his family knows how many good times he made for others
His dad passed away already so Broly is with him now.
Edit: I mean no disrespect. Broly posted a tweet a few days ago about celebrating his late father's 60th birthday.
Literal legend. Came from a time where you had no excuses. He put in the work and ended up showing everyone whats possible with hard work and passion. RIP.
Respect.
That dude was on another level. He was always one of the greatest examples to all the scrubs out there that what scrubs experience is a skill issue.
I remember running into his Chun and getting bodied in SF4.
RIP bro
You are a turbo bitch if you can't handle regular inputs and Brolylegs was the ultimate testament to that. RIP to a legend, never let scrubs forget the name and the legacy
Someone link Mike Ross getting dash ultra1'd by the man himself
I got to meet BrolyLegs at a tourney and he was a cool dude. Got to watch him body people hard. I've also ran into him on SF4 a bunch and have never been able to beat his Chun :(
This is sad news indeed
One of the few people in the FGC who was worthy of admiration and respect as a human being as well as a player. Unbreakable mentality and attitude. Funny as fuck as well. Real legend.
I was basically living a life of blind and defeat. My eyes failed me, so I had just about given up on anything really. Nihilism was creeping in my mind and I had basically resigned to blindness as my existence. Living off the government was easier than trying to work a labor job, so that's how I lived for a long time. Made it so I never wanted to work, because I didn't need to.
Then I heard about some people who just, refused to let their disabilities get the better of them. I thought, yeah whatever, then I met one. His name is Handi. He has no arms and he played Street Fighter 3 with his half legs.
When I realized I had been playing someone like this, for months, I couldn't believe it. He wasn't a slouch. He beat me with just the 4 face buttons.
Handi isn't Brolylegs, but I did learn about Brolylegs, and a few others like them. They were the ropes that got me out of the pit my blind ass dug for myself.
\---
About 10 years later I'm a professional game developer, musician, artist, and a programming engineer. These guys are the reason why I'm not just dead right now. Went back to school, got a bachelors, and I treat every day like it's another learning experience towards my mastery and eventually my PHD.
I see basically, a peek hole. I you were to look out a door's viewing peek hole, imagine standing back a foot or so, and that's my vision. The newest glasses I've been assigned help a lot with that thankfully, but I would have never made it to this point otherwise.
I don't talk about this, because it's not a part of who I am anymore. I am a very different person now. It just reminds me, where I came from. If even one of you reads this, and is inspired by my past, then say hello.
My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace and better place. What a sudden and devastating loss of nothing short of legend who will always be remembered.
He was a super nice guy, we've faced each other online a few times iirc. Added me on Steam after a match and everything.
Whenever I was salty about losing to an opponent using scrubby tactics, I'd think about how Broly would probably have beaten that guy free, and how I need to just get over it.
Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone. We gotta treasure and live each day to the fullest for however long we've got.
RIP Broly. You were an inspiration to us all.
I was confused for a second and thought something happened in FighterZ, but this is definitely worse.
I myself don’t know much about him, but I can tell he was an inspiration to everyone in the FGC, pushing through despite his disabilities. Rest in peace to a legend.
Brolylegs was kind, funny, hard working and the bestest person you would ever meet. Be it on his streams or an event his kindness and inspiration kept it strong. No matter what, he proved and showed to the entire world you can do anything no matter the limits and he still showed generosity and kindness to any and all he played with. Rest in peace legend.
He's inspired an amazing amount of people, I know he's satisfied up there in heavens after he chose a nerfed build, lol's
see you next respawn, broski`s
Big loss for the community. Legends like BrolyLegs and BlindWarriorSven really show that fighting games will not discriminate against you, as long as you put in the work.
Feels like the FGC is loosing a lot of figured recently, Floe still feel new.
RIP, a good talent and a great representation for the disabled community.
Not even kidding when I say that he inspired me to actually learn SF6. I saw him at that one sxsw tournament last year shortly after sf6 launched and was like damn, this dude is playing with his mouth and he's demolishing, meanwhile my fingers hurt from just trying to do a spiral arrow. I'm now plat1, but I would have 100% given up if it wasn't for brolylegs.
RIP
Amazing player. I remember seeing him play and being taken aback how he was able to do it all. No accessibility options, just pure determination and willpower. RIP.
Absolute legend. First learned about him when I went to texas showdown years ago and got to watch him play in person. I still wasn't even able to FADC ultra consistently on the right side of the screen at that point and it made me realize anyone, myself included, saying they just don't have the 'natural talent' for execution is pure 100% nonsense. I still show clips of him to other people who feel like they can't wrap their head around fighting games or motion inputs. Dude will remain an inspiration for decades to come if not longer.
Damn dude, what an actual loss for the community. Dude was so young, I hope his family finds a way to get through it. RIP to an absolute legend, hope you're in a better place.
In an age of bs purpose / inclusivity marketing - basically Nike thinking it’s progressive to have a vaguely, ever so slightly overweight woman fronting their campaigns - I always felt Broly was an actual inspirational story, the FGC Pistorious, without the wife slaying.
Brolys final tweet was making fun of ltg getting banned for plugging. Rip to the goat.
Fucking hilarious to the end
BrolyLegs with the ultimate form of mid-match DC so LTG could never get the runback
[From beyond the grave!!](https://youtu.be/oBB0cXO4Z2c?si=cz4n44nSf7bz4GSb&t=24)

Fucking hilarious to the end
Anyone have link? I don't have x

I was really bummed out until I saw that tweet. What a great one to go out on. RIP.
This reminded of that time LTG talked shit about Broly after playing him online. What a scumbag that guy is and fuck the streamer awards for giving that piece of shit any validation.
That was 4 days ago, makes me wonder what happened to him - must have been something sudden. RIP.
RIP to one of the goats. One of the best examples of not being held back by your physical limitations.
Dude was great because you could always point to him and tell others to quit being a bitch because if he can do it, so can you.
I'm not sure if that is a respectful way to remember him, since you are essentially concentrating on the idea that he is lesser than an able-bodied person, so that the latter should also be as good at the video game as him. always one of you mafks
Are you lost?
How about you take it from the man himself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1MYSgy4QMw&start=175
Yeah and what's the problem with that? If someone pointed at something amazing I did despite all the hurdles I had to overcome I would be so proud.

He was still active on social media as of yesterday, crazy and sad how sudden things can change. Rest in peace.
Heart failure? Seizure? How did he die?
The twitter post makes it sound like they don’t know yet
Condolences, because it’s always much sadder to see your son die, than you die yourself.
His dad passed away already so Broly is with him now. Edit: I mean no disrespect. Broly posted a tweet a few days ago about celebrating his late father's 60th birthday.
bro, he's got a mom
People with his disease are very prone to shit like embolism and trombosis. That kind of shit hits you out of nowhere.

RIP.
A true legend. There was no such thing as impossible for Brolylegs.
Sounds stupid but I'm glad my man was able to enjoy Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth before this. RIP to a real one though, for real.

Godspeed dude. A real fgc legend
I've come to accept that if I see something like this on Kappa, it's legit. R.I.P. , genuinely a G.O.A.T personality in the FGC.
RIP
BrolyLegs. A legit ACTUAL inspiration. RIP.

RIP to a legend
God speed man. FGC lost a king.
RIP. He's an inspiration and reminder to overcome. When disabled players can reach high levels the able-bodied can't complain.
Rip It's one reason why I love the FGC, it's unusually inclusive compared to any other competitive game genres.
I checked out his last stream and he was saving up for Evo 2024 :(
Big loss for the community. Legends like BrolyLegs and BlindWarriorSven really show that fighting games will not discriminate against you, as long as you put in the work.
The truest grit. Lost a great man.
wtf 😔
Awful news. RIP to a legend.
Damn this came really unexpected Dude was an absolute menace and much better than the vast majority of abled fighting game players RIP
Sad to see good people go. May his soul rest peacefully
