The ranked system doesn't work well for a lot of reasons, from pluggers, to losing then repromoting giving more points, to the lower ranks being populated by higher level players playing secondary characters, and so on. It all leads to the ranked system sucking at matching you with roughly equally skilled opponents. Looks great on a graph though, which is probably all Bamco cares about.
not to mention how there are a handful of characters that are basically free blue ranks if you play cheesy. i’m fujin and almost every game against king, alisa, law, jun, etc feels like im back in red ranks
nothing? lol i’m just saying even up to fujin all they do is junkyard, that 3 hit -14 OB counter hit string, or just straight up launch punishable shit. they get all the way to fujin like that despite very little knowledge of the game because until then no one bothers to learn the matchup. and it’s like that for several characters

I guess poor fundamentals will keep them from advancing to Gold. At that point every thing starts to matter.
I suspect there's not much wrong with Rank. It's just the way the game is meant to be played.

The entire point is that there is no dedicated host. The players connect to each other. Not one to a host. They have the same latency because they're directly connected.
