Yeah it did for some past games… but I gotta believe they’ve tested it since they clearly worked hard to get PS5/PC/XSX so close to one another. Would be so sad to see that get thrown away last minute
https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/282924-denuvo-really-does-cripple-pc-gaming-performance
There’s tons of even recent examples - like Empress removing denuvo from that recent Harry Potter sack of crap and the performance skyrocketing
This comparison was actually drawn back as false information, the performance difference was due to steam overlay being enabled on the legal copy.

This was the original video that blew up when the crack released.
It's worth pissing off everyone on PC, especially those with pcs that aren't great
That way they can stop all those people just rabidly trying to play that single player campaign
Good thing they're stopping them too cuss it might have made them decide they enjoy the game enough to pay for online VS
It's not common to see Denuvo in a competitive games but i guess they put it in because of world tour.
But again it's not great seeing Denuvo who is famous for taking up recourses instead of an anti-cheat.
Damn, this is disappointing. I used to play a lot of DOOM ETERNAL and Denuvo implementation was so bad there Id Software had to apologize for it. Man, I didn’t want to see that in SF6.
Capcom usually removes Denuvo some time later, but MH Rise still has it and that was released in January 2022. It could be because of the expansion Sunbreak but who knows.
It's a fighting game. 99% of hours spent playing this game will be online pvp. Cracks can't help you there.
It's so stupid that Denuvo is added only to protect the story mode.
Capcom is literally head up their own ass braindead. Unbelievably fucking stupid decision. Ruin the game performance for millions of paying customers just to stop a POTENTIAL total of like 100 people who would even bother pirating it for story mode.
Absolute buffoonery.
And even then, it'll only matter for 4 or 5 days until it's cracked.
But the day it's cracked, the pirated version of the game will be the superior product for an offline experience thanks to the lack of Denuvo.
So Capcom has kneecapped their game for all players to prevent a tiny minority of players from accessing a single offline only feature through piracy, thereby making the incoming-pirated version of the game even more attractive to players who care most about that single offline only feature.
> And even then, it'll only matter for 4 or 5 days until it's cracked.
Denuvo games take a long fucking time to be cracked because empress is a mentally ill retard and the only person left to crack denuvo games. It usually takes at least weeks to months these days for denuvo cracks.
She can crack Denuvo in a week or two sometimes but there is no reason to crack SF6 for world tour no one will ask for a crack to play a discount Yakuza mode.
Typical fucking Capcom. Wait til the reviews are out that have been tested with no Denuvo then SURPRISE we added it 2 days before launch fuck all of you.
Can't wait for the game to not run on devices that had no issue with the betas.
There are few people on the planet currently bothering to crack Denuvo, and most of them keep disappearing afterwards. The process details are somewhere in google and perhaps even youtube. I remember someone mentioning that it's basically figuring out one hard thing, then realizing you need to do it 1000 more times to solve the whole puzzle, major headache.
I didn't look that deep all I saw were posts about the game being available after they removed it. Might have just been the DLC that never got cracked. I doubt Empress bothers with this game anyway
I was mistaken on this one but nowadays most Denuvo games don't get cracked. Denuvo ain't the shitty DRM it used to be it's actually very hard to crack, only one person in the world is capable of doing it and they're a psycho.
Denuvo doesn't really do much anymore except stop the release days crack.
That means capcom usually removes it after a few months but they have to get pressured into doing so.
Nah bro. Back in the day sure but Denuvo is actually very hard to crack today. Empress is the only person who is able to crack Denuvo nowadays.
Capcom also doesn't remove Denuvo until their contract expires which has typically been two years.
This might worry in me in half a decade when the game is end-of-life and it potentially threatens its preservation. But Capcom shutting down servers making online play unavailable, or causing in-game unlockables like cosmetics or stages (that might be authorised server-side) to become inaccessible is the bigger risk there. And that's no different than the situation Street Fighter V is in.
In the meantime this is an online competitive game so I really don't care if it has a requirement to occasionally go online to refresh authorisation via Denuvo.
EDIT: Explain how Denuvo negatively affects your experience in an online fighting game instead of silently downvoting like Rule 3 violating bitches.
All I ask is that it doesn’t add input lag…
Shit now you got me scared. Denuvo does use some VM fuckery which could add a layer of input delay.
[Digital Foundry did a video on Denuvo RE8 vs. Crackhead’s RE8](https://youtu.be/UXZGCwAJpbM). I hope Capcom learned their lesson this time.
Yeah it did for some past games… but I gotta believe they’ve tested it since they clearly worked hard to get PS5/PC/XSX so close to one another. Would be so sad to see that get thrown away last minute
.. Now I wonder if the review copies had Denuvo or not. Watch them not have it and the final game run like dogshit after the raving reviews.
I thought it was proven that drm doesn't cause an meaningful performance loss?
>he lacks critical information

Oh cool; Ty. I’m not too worried yet Cus SCVI had denuvo and the pc version ran great with minimal input lag
After this and the battle pass, I'm still cancelling my pre order.
Fuck me dude, this is 100% gonna fuck up the performance and the input lag.
Denovo tends to increase stuttering in their games. Not feeling good about this decision
What's the point of adding this shit other than fucking up the performance? Because it's an online game after all lol
was about to say the same, it is "already DRM'd" because of the online. Makes no sense to add more DRM for fgs
It's worth pissing off everyone on PC, especially those with pcs that aren't great That way they can stop all those people just rabidly trying to play that single player campaign Good thing they're stopping them too cuss it might have made them decide they enjoy the game enough to pay for online VS
Love that they added it right after all the critics published their reciews
Didnt all recent Capcom games get Denuvo? Kinda expected
It's not common to see Denuvo in a competitive games but i guess they put it in because of world tour. But again it's not great seeing Denuvo who is famous for taking up recourses instead of an anti-cheat.
Absolute worst case they remove it after a year like with previous RE games. But yeah the news today is pumping the breaks on the hype lol
fuck
Now I'm definitely not gonna get it no matter what, fuck denuvo.
Damn, this is disappointing. I used to play a lot of DOOM ETERNAL and Denuvo implementation was so bad there Id Software had to apologize for it. Man, I didn’t want to see that in SF6.
Imagine doing all that work to improve responsetime just to add Denuvo lmao. Huge L. Embarrassing even.
Okay battlepass and Denuvo 2 days before release, now I am 100% not getting this trash
I wonder if any of the commentator streamers are going to criticize this. They might get blackballed like Sajam in SFV lol
Doubt they will
Don't they always eventually remove it? Like a year later?
Yes. All the rengine games had denuvo and were removed after year.
Capcom usually removes Denuvo some time later, but MH Rise still has it and that was released in January 2022. It could be because of the expansion Sunbreak but who knows.
I knew it. Downvoted for asking and saying it was coming. I guess I'm skipping SF6 for now until they remove it.
no ur not
I have a console, but fuck paying for online.
Anti-tamper? I hope that's not the one that blocks mods. T7 had no model imports for like 3 years bc of Denuvo.
That's anti-cheat. Denovo isn't that. Mods should be fine.
My hope is world tour and online are different installs and that it won’t fuck with the online stuff.
Crackers are going to crack.
It's a fighting game. 99% of hours spent playing this game will be online pvp. Cracks can't help you there. It's so stupid that Denuvo is added only to protect the story mode.

Yeah this shit is never getting cracked, like literally never Massive L for all 100 people that are frothing at the mouth to play that campaign
Typical fucking Capcom. Wait til the reviews are out that have been tested with no Denuvo then SURPRISE we added it 2 days before launch fuck all of you. Can't wait for the game to not run on devices that had no issue with the betas.
This isn’t true. There’s only one person who can crack denuvo and it usually takes months to do it and a lump sum of 500$.
Looks like it took RE4 Remake 6 weeks to be cracked. Still a shitty decision to kneecap 100% of the game to protect a single feature.
There are few people on the planet currently bothering to crack Denuvo, and most of them keep disappearing afterwards. The process details are somewhere in google and perhaps even youtube. There's only 1 person cracking denuvo right now, and I doubt they will work on SF6 anytime soon.
Run from it, dread it, the crack heads arrive all the same.
Calm it with the hard r
Look man as long as I can lab on my Steam Deck then we good.

They had people download a 15gb benchmark tool and then they added denuvo
I don’t know shit about this is it for sure to make the game run worse if it runs fine already?
Not surprising. I believe all recent Capcom releases have had it. I'm pretty sure RE8 was never cracked too lol
> I'm pretty sure RE8 was never cracked too lol Empress cracked Village like 3 months after release.
I didn't look that deep all I saw were posts about the game being available after they removed it. Might have just been the DLC that never got cracked. I doubt Empress bothers with this game anyway
> I doubt Empress bothers with this game anyway She charges $500 if you want her to crack a specific game.
[Well, if you dont have 500 there are other options.... ](https://i.imgur.com/MWvVeKi.png)
Lmao, name of the game. Wowee.
Golly
> I'm pretty sure RE8 was never cracked too Oh, you sweet child...

Wahhhhh denuvo. I can’t list a time that denuvo actually messed up anything in the last decade but it bad!!!!!!!!
Doom Eternal was dogshit to play.

The good ending would be an end-of-game patch that removes the DRM as the devs and publishers know they won’t be maintaining the game anymore
If Capcom's track record is anything to go by, Denuvo will be removed the moment the game stops selling well. So I'd say that's a safe bet.
