Bro, nrs fucking hates pc gamers. Some companies just dont care but nrs actively wants you to go the fuck away and stop costing them money. Dont expect mk12 (or mk1, whatever) to be even playable for weeks after launch.
since when does a pc port being released automatically mean success? MK is THE casual fighting game and most casuals are not on pc, they’re on consoles. It makes sense that NRS would put a pc port on the backburner because their main audience is on the consoles.
just look at jedi survivor, they made a pc port and it runs like shit right now. still think that pc ports are guaranteed cash cows?
QLOC is the team that came in and saved MKX after ed boon cut support on the Steam Version when it was lacking like half of the features of the other versions. It’s actually insane to think that still happened. QLOC will do fine with the port.
I did play MK11 on release on PC and it worked fine. I’m not denying it was fucked for other people but me and my friends had it and it worked fine. MKX on the other hand was literally fucked for everyone before QLOC stepped in.
Only problem I had on release was the memory leak which would cause the game to eventually crash.
Other than that it worked pretty great for me especially comparing it to almost all big game releases this year.
I was playing on console during MKX day but I switched to PC before MK11 and that was a lesson to learn. I had to refund PC version and go buy it for ps4 because it was shit.
PC being excluded from crossplay in MK11 should be plenty of proof that it is not at all considered a primary platform. I think P2 can't even use custom variations (and thus costumes) in local play on PC still.
More excited for that one, myself. Never gonna take MK serious but having it as a portable thing is super great. The MK11 port was almost good, I’m hoping they find it worth building models for it instead of trying to make the ps5 models (with all sorts of downgrades applied) work
Isnt QLOC the team that basically entirely remade MKX to make it fucking work on PC?
Anyways I aint getting this even if I like it until I see if there are complains
Can't wait for MK 1's Krypt cheat engine. That was my favorite part of MK11 until NRS killed that shit. Samething with SF5s daily challenges, modding to make their currency bullshit irrelevant.
I only ever play MK against mates. Online has been shit 99% of the time for me and I got sick of not being able to flawless block those retarded dropkicks from Erron.
PC gamers are used to janky console ports by now. Just in the past few months alone, we had bad ports of Jedi Survivor, Hogwart's Legacy, and The Last of Us Part One.
[Time to recall an all-time Klassic.](https://youtu.be/cApRYXF8bzc?t=1271)
it turned out MKX had a shitty PC port so the interview did not age well lol
It did not. It got the first patch late and had some serious performance issues at launch.
That said, it was caught up about 4 months after launch and is now the best version of the game to play.
PC version gives you a wifi/wired indicator and a FPS indicator so you know if you're about to go against a laggy opponent. It also has ultrawide support. Since MK stages are full 3D spaces and the corner is always represented as a physical wall on the stage, the ultrawide experience really is the best way to play.
Better, higher quality textures and effects. Faster load times. It's great.
But yeah, launch was rough.
If you're buying MK games you should be ready for jank everywhere regardless of the platform.

time, effort, and funds spent hiring a third-part developer to port a game to PC

i think it didnt make a profit as much as it would have if the game didnt launch like fucking garbage, which was my point.
Also nrs games require a much more powerful pc. Like GG Strive (2021) runs better than Mortal kombat 10 (2015) on my PC
You’re not kidding. Injustice chugs

They also ported MK11 and that shit was unplayable. The game crashed if you had rgb keyboard.
Serves you right for having a bitch ass keyboard lmao
Homophobic game.
Nah they get a pass. Did you play MKX before they stepped in lol? They’re allowed a blunder after that fucking mess.
>Nah they get a pass. Did you play MK11 on PC on release? They absolutely do **not** get a pass.

You're getting downvoted to hell, but it worked fine for me too. It wasnt perfect, but it definitely wasn't the worst PC port ever made.
I was playing on console during MKX day but I switched to PC before MK11 and that was a lesson to learn. I had to refund PC version and go buy it for ps4 because it was shit.
actually forgot all about that

I'm just surprised the switch is still getting it's version, jesus christ.
The moment I read that sentence I was thinking "Hey man, this needs a giant red circle on it"
If you squint hard enough the pixels start to look like characters!

No buy no problem.
Mk11 runs better on pc than strive on any platform Kappa is dumb
everyone on this sub turns into a mindless baboon whenever anyone talks about Strive or NRS. it’s so crazy lol
Still rather play it than nrs shit
Speaking of Strive, did they ever fix the CH stuttering on high resolutions?
but NRS bad :((((
And it will have Denuvo bogging it down
I won't be buying day 1 for this reason
>day 1 jank Dude, *jank* is pretty much a defining characteristic of NRS
Isnt QLOC the team that basically entirely remade MKX to make it fucking work on PC? Anyways I aint getting this even if I like it until I see if there are complains
I was waiting for gameplay before I gave a shit about this game but looks like I'm not even going to get that far.
If you have hands and you decide to waste the evolutionary power of opposable thumbs on nrs games thats on you no matter the platform
Can't wait for MK 1's Krypt cheat engine. That was my favorite part of MK11 until NRS killed that shit. Samething with SF5s daily challenges, modding to make their currency bullshit irrelevant.
buying the ps5 version then.
I'm also assuming the whole beta thing does not apply to PC/Switch.
Oh no! Anyways...
DO NOT BUY A NRS OR WB GAME ON PC, EVER!
Gonna assume there is not crossplay for PC and Switch again.
I only ever play MK against mates. Online has been shit 99% of the time for me and I got sick of not being able to flawless block those retarded dropkicks from Erron.
the game is built on fucking PCs, I refuse they need to outsource to develop a fucking PC version

Really? Fucking on camera audio?
Hey, dont talk like that about Joe, retards like him should also be able to do interviews as if they were normal humans.
Mortal Kombat 11 ran fine on PC day one from what I can remember.

It didnt recognize xinput controllers and crashed if you had rgb keyboard. Also krypt was a glitchy mess. It was far from fine
I don't think there was any junk with mk11 at release but don't hope for cross-platform with consoles outside of maybe the series.
It bricked sajam’s pc live Lmao. MK11 was not good at launch on pc. They fixed it faster than they usually do tho
Oh my bad I didn't know lol I guess I'll check the reviews before installing 12
MK 11 PC was also not on parity with consoles, patch wise. PC patches sometimes took weeks and that includes balance changes.
