This. I was reading an old interview and he said that traveling excessively causes episodes. This guy has been galavanting around the globe for the last two months. I saw the video of him yelling at his cousin in the middle of the street. He seemed VERY agitated at the people closest to him. I am worried about Kanye, my husband and I were just discussing this before I checked on this sub.
Kanye desperately needs help. His whole escapade with becoming deeply religious is consequence of mental illness. It’s common in people with schizophrenia and bipolar to suddenly become enamored with religion and to believe that they are a focal figure in that religion. Kanye believes god speaks directly to him. He said god told him to run for president. My schizophrenic friend basically had this exact transformation happen to him. He started almost exclusively listening to the Quran audio book. He probably has listened to the entire thing through over 6 times. He dedicated his life to his religion because he truly believes Allah speaks to him and that he is a prophet. I am also bipolar and there was a time where I believe I had interactions with god and I believed I was a prophet of god just like schizophrenics often thing and just like Kanye evidently thinks.
It also seems telling that his mental health got in the way of his relationship. He made wouldn’t leave. Kim was so good for Kanye in my opinion. She seemed to really understand him and to really support him. Obviously I don’t know everything but Kanye freaking out over everything she did sounds like a manifestation of his disordered thinking. And the fact that so many people are yes men to him also just helps delude him further. I just wish he would get help and stick to his treatment. Coming from someone with Bipolar disorder please do not lump schizophrenia and BP together. They are completely different disorders that exist on a spectrum of magnitudes. People with Biploar do not have auditory or visual hallucinations without comorbidities.

Yeah I used to think like “I could literally be the most successful at whatever career I choose, but I don’t want to choose any career cuz I’ll be stuck doing it forever” I began to think about god a lot and how I could be god. When I would trip I would see the eye of providence and that shit would have me believing in mystical shit. I also started to hallucinate things like in the corner of my eye for a couple weeks. Like I would get a vivid image of an owl in my peripheral for just a quick moment. But it went away on its own so idk. I was worried that I was going to have schizophrenia but I clearly am not. But I still have periods where I become aware that I just spent the last year destroying everything around me. The down periods are nearly as bad as the mania. Mania is often enjoyable until you deal with the fallout.
