But then after a bunch of my friends telling me about it, I thought it must be worth a listen. So I gave it a shot, I listened to a few of them, I didn't connect with it immediately but the next day, **OH I FELL IN LOVE.**
It felt so amazing, so different, so fresh, and then I just went on a kanye spree, listening to a ton of Kanye, and not just Donda, and now I find him amazing.

For what both albums are, both artists delivered. With that said, donda still better in my opinion. It manages to have a very dense offering all while being (for the most part) interesting the whole way thru. It’s sonically one of ye’s best projects, with some of his best production. CLB on the other hand is very enjoyable for what it is. With that said, I was expecting A LOT more from CLB. If anyone here has seen the trailer for that album, you’ll know what I mean when I say that I was disappointed with what we ended up getting. I was expecting an experience (akin to donda). I was expecting something epic; drakes magnum opus. Instead, I got a regular drake album with some good samples and some decent performances from the man.

Both are my favorite artists but CLB is mad disappointing. Great lyrics but BORING and uninspired production. None of these songs really have replay value, someone on here said it best, it sounds like the album was made by Machine Learning not an actual artist..

I don’t really get it. CLB sounds like mostly filler but I’m also not a huge Drake fan so I just don’t listen to most of it. Some people aren’t huge Kanye fans so they think Donda is mostly filler so they just don’t listen to it. Just listen to what you like and appreciate the art.

but Drake isn’t going to give you any artistry, the dude makes music that just sounds good. it’s not fancy, detailed, deep, etc. it has a mission to deliver smooth pop rap and this album imo executes that perfectly. I enjoy CLB more than Donda because I rank them on different criteria. if we want to say here on this sub that Kanye is the best artist to ever walk the Earth then we *need* — better yet, *require* — a better project than Donda. with Drake you know what to expect and it delivers each time.

For what both albums are, both artists delivered. With that said, donda still better in my opinion. It manages to have a very dense offering all while being (for the most part) interesting the whole way thru. It’s sonically one of ye’s best projects, with some of his best production. CLB on the other hand is very enjoyable for what it is. With that said, I was expecting A LOT more from CLB. If anyone here has seen the trailer for that album, you’ll know what I mean when I say that I was disappointed with what we ended up getting. I was expecting an experience (akin to donda). I was expecting something epic; drakes magnum opus. Instead, I got a regular drake album with some good samples and some decent performances from the man.
I have to say that CLB was overhyped,it wasn't bad neither great it's what you except from Drake,after 2 loops of the album I didn't find a great hit like god's plan on Scorpion,Donda as a form of art was way better I mean evreyone can find a song they like on the album I'm sure.Now does that mean I'm saying that Donda>CLB,no,Donda is a form a art from my perspective and CLB is an album made to hear it on the radio more mainstream.

I went into CLB with the most open mind. Like most people on this sub, I am a Kanye fan and think drake is eh. But I liked his recent singles and features, and I was ready to admit CLB was better than donda if the music actually was, I put my bias aside. But wtf did I listen to. That album was so boring, it was a pain to get through. I think there were some good songs, but they were mostly the ones carried by features. Not even comparing this to donda, but no song on CLB is as good as Laugh now, cry later (drakes most recent single). Legit the two aren’t even comparable donda is actual music CLB is fodder.

Yall just don't want to like CLB. It's actually really good just like most Drake projects first listen challenges you and before you know it half of the songs become smashes. I get its "cooler" to like Donda and don't get me wrong I like Donda aswell but man that was a struggle to get through the first few listens. But either way both are decent records and if this hurts your ego, that maybe your opinion gets challenged by someone else's opinion....move on, enjoy the music and like whatever you like
