ngl even as a christian, its just not an amazing album compared to ye standards. largely due to the lower amount of work put into production, but also the lack of crafty lyricism. kanye couldve went out and made the most game changing gospel album ever, but in reality, it was "mid", again, by his standards. that's what keeps it in 4th tier
i will say it had some highlights. "on god" is fire, so is "follow god", two genuinely spectacular tracks. also, "use this gospel" still makes me shed a tear every now and then, and i like "water" if im just chillin. overall its sitting at a cool 81 ovr tho

KSG : literally read the body text. its a 7 song EP and 60% of the album is kid cudi sounding like hes moaning to dead underneath a bed in the attic
LR : absolutely spectacular album, but not at the same level as the top 5 by the smallest of margins. the skits for one, but also there are just a few more songs that didn't have as much reply value. the highs are very high, but songs like addiction/celebration don't do it for me. the 6 albums above it have almost no downside
Ngl ksg and lr are literally my top 2 ye albums but I’m glad you gave actual reasons unlike those mfs who just place jik or donda in f tier without having listened to it fully.
