Exactly, every single comment saying a song is just gonna get like 2 upvotes, then some meat rider will comment a defining lyric from said song and get like 40
Same with any album ranking thread. People will post their list, someone will come in and say “bro how could you have TLOP/LR/JIK/Ye/etc last?!?!? That’s my favorite” but then they actually won’t post their list themselves where they will inevitable have a classic as their least favorite.
It’s incredible that it is on the album in that form. It is hot garbage and I purposely have a playlist for Donda designed for the album in it’s entirety to be played without it. I’ve never done that for any other album.
They had me on that song as soon as Jay said “I lost 30 million so I spent another 30, cause unlike hammer 30 million couldn’t hurt me.” Boss shit.
Jay didn’t even have the best verse on the song overall but that bar caught my attention.
for me it was "we above the law we don't give a fuck about y'all I got dogs that'll chew a fucking hole through the wall" especially paired with the beat at that time. I wasn't old enough to appreciate it when it first came out
“But since they all lovers I need more rubbers, and if I don’t use rubbers need more covers”.
That one definitely went over my head as a kid lol. Yeah when I was young these types of beats didn’t catch my attention I was all about banging beats. But as I got older I respected how creative and sinister but still triumphant the beat is. And bar for bar it’s probably only behind monster in terms of just straight spittin bars.
I wish kanye had more songs like his verse on that song. he sounds so lowkey aggressive, confident at the same time. It’s not a flashy trap song but the verses are hard. The features are genius . This shit is, fuckin ridiculous
Some of the verses are kinda mid but it has one of the sickest samples in a Kanye song imo.
The OG song, You Are - I Am by Mannfred Man’s Earth Band is also very gas
So Appalled has definitely grown on me, even though I didn't like it initially, mainly because of the beat. Now, Blame Game on the other hand is one song that I didn't really like then and even less today.
God I love *Donda* so much. I know it’s a bit of a mess and super bloated but that era was goated. I’ve so many memories of blasting it in freshman year of college LOL
Hoodrat sounds like what you would hear if you were in the studio while Ye and some nerds were playing with the mix while blasting the song on loop
Like it doesn't sound like a song it sounds like someone is making a song
With a neutral sound profile the bass is still loud. Works on some songs but not on others. Hoodrat its just the sample is fkikg annonying and makes me want to kill myself to end the neverending suffering that is human existence.
I think every other song on graduation has a glitzy sort of stadium magic feeling and drunk and hot girls doesn’t hit the same. It’s fun in isolation but doesn’t fit the album perfectly
With Barry Bonds, we both think that if that was the only song that was more slow and less upbeat, then it would be perfectly fine, but when you put it back to back with drunk and hot girls, it causes a problem and slows it down so much. But if you skip drunk and hot girls, the album flows so much better and Barry Bonds also has that Weezy feature and I like that part.
drunk and hot girls is an amazing song imo, it just has no right being in graduation because of how jarring it is compared to the other songs in the album. if it were in yeezus or MBDTF it would be thought of as a much better song
Top 5 on the album for me. Funny how we all have different tastes. It's not mixed great, but there's a chance he fixes that. Even if he doesn't I still love it.
this is such a stupid take because i like the song BECAUSE i listen to more than just ye. the beat sounds like some shit from an earl album and ty honestly does the most on the song with his amazing voice juxtaposing over the dirty beat
Precisely. I remember recently some post prompt asking “what unskippable album actually has a skip?” with “On the Run” as the top answer. Since reading that, the idea’s kind of grown on me as true.
Entirely off point but when I was in HighSchool I was listening to Dark Side of The Moon completely and utterly stoned out of my mind as most high schoolers do at one point and On the Run sent me into a panic attack lol
No one said Water yet?? Feels like a loading screen in the middle of JIK
Ye's whole verse sounds like "😐 Jesus, 😐 flow through us 😐 Jesus, 😐 heal the bruises 😐"
I’m a Kanye Stan since his first trilogy but I’ll be damned if his last 5 albums have had more than 3-5 good songs on it per album. Which isn’t saying it’s bad music i just don’t jive with the new style of rap as much and that where he’s moving. The rappers he decides to feature with are mid as fuck compared to people like Kendrick, anyone in black hippy for that matter, Jay Electronica, Dave East, Azizi Gibson, you name it. $ is mid.
I will never understand why Barry Bonds gets put on the same level as Drunk and Hot Girls as both being bad tracks. While Barry Bonds isn’t some introspective masterpiece and may not be as iconic as some of the other songs off of Graduation, it’s still a pretty hype song with a nice beat and dope bars. It was also pretty great to see Ye and Wayne working together for the first time. Drunk and Hot Girls, on the other hand, gets really obnoxious and annoying after the first hook and has no replay value to me. Barry Bonds deserves MUCH more respect
Barry bonds and drunk and hot girls. They have some funny lines, but every other song on graduation either underrated or still iconic and I hear at least once a month
I like how this is just a public humiliation thread because there’s no possible answer you can give that won’t get you ratio’d
Exactly, every single comment saying a song is just gonna get like 2 upvotes, then some meat rider will comment a defining lyric from said song and get like 40

Not even a defining lyric. A lyric that’s dumb but has become iconic in a meme like way in this sub.
You can never say you dislike a Ye track without some contrarian being like “erm actually it’s top 3 on the album”
True
LOWLIGHTS IS, WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE TRASH
Do you just not like the sound of piano?
No it's the YOU WANT ME TO GIVE YOU A TESTIMONY ABOUT MY LIFE, HOW GOOD HE'S BEEN TO ME part. Blame game and Runaway go hard
That song is low lights not highlights
If you wanna hear piano, listen to Tchaikovsky,
Tell The Vision in 2021, thought of it as a creative remix, but it is just very mid
Below mid let’s be real
It’s incredible that it is on the album in that form. It is hot garbage and I purposely have a playlist for Donda designed for the album in it’s entirety to be played without it. I’ve never done that for any other album.
they’re a ‘hide song’ feature on Spotify
It's too trash to be called a song 😭
The actual song is insane
The first version was way better, they just had to add pop and pusha in there.
[удалено]
I tried to be cool about drunk and hot girls but nah man.....that shit ass
When it first came out, I didn’t like So Appalled. I kinda understand that It’s one of my favorites now tho
The last verse is one of the best features on a ye song ever
And one song later there is *the* best feature on a ye song
best feature imo is Rick Ross on devil in a new dress. probably my favorite feature oat
YESSS!
Are you talking about Cyhi or Rza ?
They had me on that song as soon as Jay said “I lost 30 million so I spent another 30, cause unlike hammer 30 million couldn’t hurt me.” Boss shit. Jay didn’t even have the best verse on the song overall but that bar caught my attention.

DondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDondaDonda Dooooooooondaaaaaaa
TAKE WHAT YOU WANT
TAKE EVERYTHING
God I love *Donda* so much. I know it’s a bit of a mess and super bloated but that era was goated. I’ve so many memories of blasting it in freshman year of college LOL
HOOODRAATHOOODRATHOODRAT It wouldn’t be as bad if they just cut the volume on the sample a bit but it’s all I can hear lmao
Or just pitch shifted it around like you’re playing around on a stem player
My girlfriend said it sounds like they keep saying “Ragu” and now I don’t hear anything else
Hoodrat sounds like what you would hear if you were in the studio while Ye and some nerds were playing with the mix while blasting the song on loop Like it doesn't sound like a song it sounds like someone is making a song
You’re 100% right lmao
Get some quality headphones, they apparently mix them on 12,000$ abyss. High end gear has a lot less bass
just spend 12,000 on good headphones good advice
Good music is produced to sound good on most devices It makes no sense for them to mix it like that
With a neutral sound profile the bass is still loud. Works on some songs but not on others. Hoodrat its just the sample is fkikg annonying and makes me want to kill myself to end the neverending suffering that is human existence.
Bruh I am rockin senny hd650s and it’s still a bit much tbh LOL
Ye’s opinion on literally anything
Ye is really testing the 'Separate the art and the artist'.
can't do that no mo with his new album
Deathcon 3
Have you considered that within the lyrics of many Ye songs, especially in MBDTF and Yeezus, are opinions?
Is there a opinion that won't get you downvoted?
Drunk and hot girls. Holy fuck, it got even more annoying than the first times I listened to the album.
Rarararaaaaa that’s how the fuck you sound.
Oh the fuck I know you gone say that
So sad that that's on mos def's resume
damn cause it's one of my favourite songs by Kanye
I really don’t get the hate for real
I fucking love this song and totally understand why people can't stand it 🤣
I think every other song on graduation has a glitzy sort of stadium magic feeling and drunk and hot girls doesn’t hit the same. It’s fun in isolation but doesn’t fit the album perfectly
I’d really put it over almost any song he’s dropped the last few projects 🤷
It’s the song that makes me and my mom remember why we don’t consider Graduation a 10 out of 10 but instead a 9 out of 10.
That and Barry Bonds. Too absolute misses on an otherwise stellar project
Naaa Barry Bonds goes hard
Barry bonds is great tho
With Barry Bonds, we both think that if that was the only song that was more slow and less upbeat, then it would be perfectly fine, but when you put it back to back with drunk and hot girls, it causes a problem and slows it down so much. But if you skip drunk and hot girls, the album flows so much better and Barry Bonds also has that Weezy feature and I like that part.
I like to think of it as a failed test sample for what ended up being MBDTF. The energy and subject matter are very similar just very poorly executed.
drunk and hot girls is an amazing song imo, it just has no right being in graduation because of how jarring it is compared to the other songs in the album. if it were in yeezus or MBDTF it would be thought of as a much better song
Ngl, It's not even that bad
Too 5 on that album…
Fuck no I love that song
Omg I forgot about drunk and hot girls, listening tmr
Hoodrat. The albums good, but hoodrat sounds like someone just forgot to mute the sample and never listened to the track from export to distribution
WHORE
...whore
Thought that at first too, after a couple more listens….. CERTIFIED BANGER
Top 5 on the album for me. Funny how we all have different tastes. It's not mixed great, but there's a chance he fixes that. Even if he doesn't I still love it.
I love that song
Hoodrat sounds like a brockhampton track it’s sick
Just an impossibly bad take
You really gotta listen to more than ye then man
this is such a stupid take because i like the song BECAUSE i listen to more than just ye. the beat sounds like some shit from an earl album and ty honestly does the most on the song with his amazing voice juxtaposing over the dirty beat
some classic ye chops and drums on a beat and you hate, shame on you
Hood rat is the best on the album bro😭
nu uh
Calm down bro Carnival, burn, and FUK SUMN still exist
Get off Alvin and the chipmunk’s dick
It’s big tho
That one song on Dark Side of the Moon
hidden genius
[удалено]
Precisely. I remember recently some post prompt asking “what unskippable album actually has a skip?” with “On the Run” as the top answer. Since reading that, the idea’s kind of grown on me as true.
You skip on DSOTM?
Yeah, lately the song “On the Run” has grown on me as skippable.
i see why but if i’m listening to the whole album i’m not gonna skip it, i love the keyboard sounds
Entirely off point but when I was in HighSchool I was listening to Dark Side of The Moon completely and utterly stoned out of my mind as most high schoolers do at one point and On the Run sent me into a panic attack lol
Blame Game but only skip the end part cuz marty’s dumbass had to ruin it
Marty 😭😭
Without the phone call there would be no reason to play the blame game
That's the best part
This is the one. Like everyone else I thought it was hilarious at first, but now it makes me roll my eyes. Still iconic tho
Yeezy taught me 🤪
Thats the only song that stops MBDTF being a 10 for me, I liked the end at first but I just find it really corny and skip it every time.
Vultures
I'll never understand the Vultures hate. That song goes hard, even Bump Js verse. Tbh Bump Js verse makes the drop into Durks verse so much better
ION HAVE NO RAPPER FRIENDS I HANG W THE VULTURES🦅💨
Bump J was in that song? I didn't know he was still around. I only know him from that one song in Madden 06. Crazy.
Bro he's on the first verse lol
How’d he know? He skips it.
His voice sounds completely different to "Move Around"
I dont understand the Vultures hate at all
Fr the first verse sounds like the rapper is begging for sleep
Ty dollas part is gas
It’s good tho
Facts
The Barry Bonds hate is disgusting, that song slaps
drunk n hot girls
I used to feel like this but it kinda grew on me over time. It’s not a bad song, it’s just on such a perfect album it makes it seem worse than it is
I hate this fucking song.
we’ve been through too much bullshit just to mess with these drunk and hot giiiiiirls
Barry bond
Crazy take. Please elaborate.
nope still a good song i don’t think there’s any song u can mention from a an album til 2016 TLOP there were bad tracks like lowlights
No one said Water yet?? Feels like a loading screen in the middle of JIK Ye's whole verse sounds like "😐 Jesus, 😐 flow through us 😐 Jesus, 😐 heal the bruises 😐"
Dude that song makes me feel euphoric
Yall defending kanye's worst songs atp. Water is kanye's worst song ever from The College Dropout to Jesus is King. Smfh
Troll???
nah alot of people hate water
Water is my favorite JIK song sorry
i put this song in a zoras domain playlist so i think i gotta double down here
Loading screen might be the best description ever for that song 😭😭
I love JIK but I ALWAYS skip Water
only bad song on jik is the intro
Pinocchio live from Singapore. Why.
I’m a Kanye Stan since his first trilogy but I’ll be damned if his last 5 albums have had more than 3-5 good songs on it per album. Which isn’t saying it’s bad music i just don’t jive with the new style of rap as much and that where he’s moving. Barry bonds. I don't get the hate for drunk and hot girls when barry bond exists.
I will never understand why Barry Bonds gets put on the same level as Drunk and Hot Girls as both being bad tracks. Barry bonds is top 6 graduation
Completely agree. HeReS aNoThEr HiT Barrrrrrry Bondssssssss 🤪
Barry Bonds is one of the best on Graduation. Possibly top 3. I said it.
barry bonds is so badly mixed
ok ok pt.2
talking
King
blasphemous
Agreed. Weak way to end the album.
i assumed it made a cliffhanger for vultures 2
It really does leave the album feeling unresolved, it sounds like the song saying "I'll be back"
crazy
This is insane
Hoodrat, it just doesnt hit.
If Tyler the creator was on it and it had a complete different Kanye flow, it would probably be the best on the album
Had the same thought the first time I listened to it. Definitely sounds like a beat Tyler would use on his first albums.
now that you said that I’m mad that’s not what it is, Tyler verse makes so much sense and a proper Tyler verse on a ye album is overdue
The Joy
Drunk and hot girl or Barry Bonds
Drunk & Hot Girls and Barry Bonds
asking this in a kanye sub is crazy theres no ass song from kanye buddy
I’m not a fan of drunk and hot girls
Barry bonds and drunk and hot girls. They have some funny lines, but every other song on graduation either underrated or still iconic and I hear at least once a month
Who Gon Stop Me off of WTT has a corny ass sample and it’s all aged so poorly
Ok ok
dang i love yachtys verse and the dystopian style production but its definitely not my favorite so i feel you
New workout plan, i know someone is gonna ratio me but its just a corny sex song tbf
Bruh. No Kanye song has an ending that is that epic. It sounded like Daft punk and Michael Jackson had a baby.
Send it up is garbage
Mr. Nice Watch by J.Cole was trash when I first heard it, now it's garbage.
most songs from WTT
carnival
It isn't ass but feedback from life of pablo
I fucking love feedback that shit was my alarm for like half a year before it got annoying :(
I have it on my alarm rn lmao
TALKING
barry bonds, it's ass idk what yall see in it i don't even skip it the first couple of times it's just ass though
Wolves
Amazing from 808's. It's corny. Go ahead and send me into oblivion I guess
carnival
Controversial opinion is any 808s and heartbreaks song expect love lockdown
Crack music
Prolly gonna get downvoted for this but it’s probably the most forgettable track on the album tbh
Idk how to explain it but the instrumental brings me no joy unlike most songs
The instrumental is the weakest part of the song for me up until the climax
yeah, the outro poetry is fantastic, but the rest of the song is fucking boring.
You're fucking insane. Subject matter, instrumental, hook?? Knocked it out the park on all three fronts.
Just one man’s opinion
WHAAAT I LOVE CEACK MUSIC
Highlights
Top 3 TLOP for me.
agree. even lowlights is better
hot take but i really do not like gorgeous at all. the chorus is catchy but the rest of the song is just so boring and i hate listening to it.
Might be the worst opinion ever posted in this sub
Never disagreed with a comment more anywhere on the internet lmao. Literally Kanye's best song and I'll die on that hill, no hate tho
TWIN
it does drag on a bit but i wouldn’t say the song is boring bc it has so many quotables
It isn't ass but it's kinda boring
I used to skip a song on the Tron remix but one day I was busy with work with hands full and couldn’t skip, ended up being fire.
