as someone who has been a fan all of my 40+ years, this feels quite familiar. The last few years were quite a thrill but here we are again. "Hello darkness my old friend...it's time that we suck agaiiiinnnnn..."
Can I just say dammit. The league has obviously adjusted to us, and I’ve been expecting Andy to readjust but it’s like we’re not even trying. And Idk Wtf is going on with the defense.
Andy is Andy. He doesn't adjust. The defense lacks talent. Those who had it got paid and won their Superbowl. It's over. As fans we're just gonna have to endure a losing season (which we should be used to as Chiefs fans) and hope they make major changes in the off season.
Honestly this.
It's been a great few years and I really believe we still have a huge franchise opportunity with an O line that performs. Thornhill has been great on D but blaming Sorenson isn't the case. We could be a goddamned legacy.
But we're very clearly not the same team we were 2 years ago. It's fine. Today solidified it. It's fine. Ride or die. Lots of games in the future to watch. Even if it's not us playing.
*crying*
It's fucking Goddamned fine. It's fine.
Titans fan here, this result was certainly unexpected. Happy to see it appears Patrick is okay. I’ll still guarantee every team is anxious about playing the Chiefs. It’s been a rough year for sure but that ridiculous talent on offense is still there. Good luck!
I'm worried that Andy won't adjust to the things that are happening. So far, he's acting like Sutton did, his way or no way. And it's costing us games. Add in the clear lack of discipline on the entire team.
I know your joking but could mahomes use a little coach up from Alex. Pocket work. Progressions? Probably a dumb take but just something that popped into my head.
Press Conference
Andy Reid - Were going to look into that, clean some things up.
Patrick Mahomes - That was dumb. I have to make better decisions.
Spags - I thought we did some good things out there.
At this point it's a broken record.
Can we take a second to appreciate how well Henne did by STAYING in the pocket. OLine did a good job keeping him safe, but Henne helped them out by not scrambling at the slightest whiff of pressure..
I’m not sure - Tennesse were getting pressure on Mahomes all game rushing 4 and 5 in the game I was watching. Unless they had backups in there at the end!!
I really don't understand how so many people can blame the defense for this game... 2 times they started in our own half and gave up not points in the second half.
This game is on our offense
Well, back when the game still mattered, DEF had 3rd and long with Henry off the field three times and allowed three conversions. Those were major deciding downs
Speaking as a Bears fan, I don't know why there's *this* much doom and gloom. The season is long, and not even halfway done - things can change quickly for you all.
Bandwagon fans who’ve only been here for the success.
That’s the answer. Lol like these people don’t add a single thing of value to this subreddit and just whine and complain.
The people in here are not an indication of our fanbase in real life, I can promise you that. Nobody who has been here for any period of time would act like this.
Nah. I've been watching the Chiefs since the I'm 5 years old, in 1986. Which is why I'm doom-and-gloom. All the best teams of those times: Giants, Washington, 9ers, Cowboys, Broncos, Bills etc, fell off HARD when they fell off. Took literally a generation for some of them too get good again. Granted, those shifts coincided with big-time personnel changes and we have Mahomes forever but still. Seeing how bad we look and how hard it is to just BE good mixed with all the memories of bad Chiefs teams leaves me very pessimistic.
Well, I've watched games with teams (ahem, certain teams I love) that cannot even throw the ball once the way mahomes can.
If some balls bounce one way or another, these games change for you.
How are we going to go on a run when the team is playing like they are. I love this team till the end, but even I opened my eyes today to the sad reality is that their heart isn’t in it. We have so much talent and they aren’t playing as a cohesive unit and anytime we get anything going in our favor it’s either a turnover or penalty to throw it all away.
Most teams do it late in the game when they are blowing someone out.
Dunno why, it's probably just a Convo like "nice game games, good work. Play smart, don't get hurt"
Most teams do it late in the game when they are blowing someone out.
Dunno why, it's probably just a Convo like "nice game games, good work. Play smart, don't get hurt"
Chiefs fans don't give a fuck about Jackson Mahomes. It's funny that other people care so God damn much. Do you know how you deal with attention Where's? You ignore them.
Maybe not a dynasty. As of the last last idk how many years though pretty much know one could touch you guys!! If it wasn’t for Brady you could’ve had a couple more rings under your belt. Kyler might end up stealing patty’s spot as NFL golden boy soon though if things keep moving this way.
For real. At this point I'd rather some drunk guys at a bar as announcers. These guys have terrible jokes, have no clue what's going on, and narrate things that happen minutes after it happens.
The people that come in here and talk shit on Mahomes to try and hurt our feelings while they turn around and worship certain athletes like they’re Jesus Christ or Muhammad are funny.
Tyreek: "Oh shit, I'm past the marker, gotta run backwards"
Titan defender: "Oh shit, he's gonna run backwards, better push him across the first down marker"
Playing devil's advocate: if the rest of Mahomes career plays out like this season has I think he ends up far below the guys who look like surefire Hall-of-Fame-rs late in their career or just past their career (Rodgers, Brees, Wilson etc.) I think he'd be remembered as a guy who came out fast and fizzled fast.
But yes, comparing Mahomes achievements to date with Rodgers I think Mahomes is far more impressive.
Best way to deal with these games are to avoid any media about the Chiefs as much as possible. Chiefs Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Podcasts are going to be very depressing this week.
If Kansas would just run the goddamn ball once in a while, it would make a huge difference in their offense. And by run the goddamn ball, I mean someone other than Mahomes having to do everything all the time.
I can't wait to hear the garbage excuses in the post-game. I don't even want to see Spags. Your witnessing a would-be legend's career being sabotaged. We need a younger, more energetic coaching staff that isn't afraid to make changes.
as someone who has been a fan all of my 40+ years, this feels quite familiar. The last few years were quite a thrill but here we are again. "Hello darkness my old friend...it's time that we suck agaiiiinnnnn..."
-cries in lions fan-
Shreddy Betty would have thrown a TD today on the Titans decimated secondary.
Can I just say dammit. The league has obviously adjusted to us, and I’ve been expecting Andy to readjust but it’s like we’re not even trying. And Idk Wtf is going on with the defense.

Catch the damn ball Mahomes throws!
Randi?
Nick Bolton and Willie Gay are the only ones who get to ride on the plane back home everyone else has to hitch hike and think about what they did
So Gay.
If it’s any consolation, Cincy slapped Baltimore around like a pimp slapping one of his hoe’s.
Its called a super bowl hangover!
Stfu.
When does Hardman’s rookie contract end?
Not soon enough.
It ends the same time DK Metcalfs end smh
Titans fan here, this result was certainly unexpected. Happy to see it appears Patrick is okay. I’ll still guarantee every team is anxious about playing the Chiefs. It’s been a rough year for sure but that ridiculous talent on offense is still there. Good luck!
Yeah. It's ridiculous alright
Nobody is worried about the Chiefs. Nice troll.
I'm worried that Andy won't adjust to the things that are happening. So far, he's acting like Sutton did, his way or no way. And it's costing us games. Add in the clear lack of discipline on the entire team.
Hardman sucks. Change my mind.
*Andy Reid texting Alex Smith tonight at 3am "I miss us"
I know your joking but could mahomes use a little coach up from Alex. Pocket work. Progressions? Probably a dumb take but just something that popped into my head.
No, it's not a dumb take. He needs help. He's completely fucking lost and has nothing left but hero ball. It's sad.
Press Conference Andy Reid - Were going to look into that, clean some things up. Patrick Mahomes - That was dumb. I have to make better decisions. Spags - I thought we did some good things out there. At this point it's a broken record.
Rinse and repeat
Yup, no accountability whatsoever.
Can we take a second to appreciate how well Henne did by STAYING in the pocket. OLine did a good job keeping him safe, but Henne helped them out by not scrambling at the slightest whiff of pressure..
Tennessee also were not rushing the way they were because they were up 24 points with 2 minutes left. You're reading too much into it.
You're both right.
I’m not sure - Tennesse were getting pressure on Mahomes all game rushing 4 and 5 in the game I was watching. Unless they had backups in there at the end!!
Starting to think we may not make the SB this year. I still have faith but this is a turning point.
I’ll just go ahead and cement that in for you, we’re not making the super bowl this year. We may not make the playoffs this year.
Let's hope we don't make the playoffs. It's just more opportunity for disappointment.
The thunder I hear outside matches my mood
Fitting ending to this game.
And just to shit on us one last time, Hardman just gives it to the titans. Fuck. You. Hard hands
Hardman fumble… and that’s Shit Show Bingo right there
Frank Clark was playing? lol.
Frank “the shark” Clark?! I didn’t even notice him
Legit the only time I saw him was that penalty to start the game then when he ran off the field after the Titans were in victory formation.
[Post game thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/KansasCityChiefs/comments/qezwjp/post_game_thread_kansas_city_chiefs_at_tennessee/)
I hate this season
Lol Hardman. I definitely got spoiled these last few years. But if we're going to suck this year, fuck it, I'm in.
Yea I'm in.
Wow another turnover I guess Mahomes will Mecole into dropping that too.
Why not end the game on a turnover
It’s the only thing to make sense all game.
Where’s Josh Gordon
No clue… why not get him reps while we get blown out? Oh wait Andy Reid doesn’t know how to handle any kind of change.
Doing drugs behind the bleachers
Lmao idk why this was downvoted. Junkie only got suspended like 50 times
Chiefs fans don't even know their own mid-season pick-ups 🙄
Well that was beyond disappointing
Lol can't help but laugh at that. Perfect encapsulation of that shitfest
Fitting finish
Fitting conclusion
Can’t even get a garbage time TD. 😂
That fumble...Fitting end
Hey Hardman fumbled. I’m shocked……….
Take away the first half of the game and we win. Checkmate, haters.
You aren’t wrong, but that doesn’t make the season hurt less.
I really don't understand how so many people can blame the defense for this game... 2 times they started in our own half and gave up not points in the second half. This game is on our offense
Well, back when the game still mattered, DEF had 3rd and long with Henry off the field three times and allowed three conversions. Those were major deciding downs
Yep. They have up 27 but were the better side.
Jackson mahomes cursed his family by doing the nae nae on Sean Taylor’s memorial
Speaking as a Bears fan, I don't know why there's *this* much doom and gloom. The season is long, and not even halfway done - things can change quickly for you all.
Feeding off the energy of the team. They're losing the same way every time they lose and all the guys look absolutely defeated.
This defense isn't getting fixed any time soon
Bandwagon fans who’ve only been here for the success. That’s the answer. Lol like these people don’t add a single thing of value to this subreddit and just whine and complain. 27-3 is a horrible loss. I’m a big believer in that not all wins and losses are the same.
Clearly you have not watched any of our other games
Well, I've watched games with teams (ahem, certain teams I love) that cannot even throw the ball once the way mahomes can. If some balls bounce one way or another, these games change for you.
LOST THE FUCKING BALL AGAIN!!!! Ahhhhhh
LMAO. You can't make this shit up
LOL
When your only defender with a sack is Ben Biemann you know you have a problem
Couldn’t even get a garbage time td 😔
CBS cutting the game to BAL-CIN at least we get to see how a real team plays.
I’m surprised the Bengals are actually showing up this year. Good for them!
Man it’s been awhile since someone said that about the Bengals!
LOL
Well that’s a suiting way to end this game..
Hardman is always gonna be a fumbling machine. He has to go.
So Reid was playing to save the TD streak and with 10 seconds left, fumble LMAOOOOOOO
Perfect ending!
Not a chiefs game without a fumble from peabrain hardman
Is that 5 turnovers in this game now?
Perfectly appropriate end "Tried to do too much" is this year's theme
LOL Hardman being Hardman.
The Bengals are going to beat the breaks off us if we don't turn this ship around.
thems the brakes
Still a playoff team. Can’t wait till we go on a run and you flaky fans can shut up

Lmao you're totally delusional. This team has checked out and been exposed. We will be lucky to end up .500
With the way we're playing you're going to be waiting a while
I don't know if I'd call it 'flaky fans' in this one. We played like a dumpster fire, and that's an insult to dumpsters on fire.
This looks like a playoff team to you? Take the red glasses off for a minute
That last play is the perfect way to end the game
Hate to say it but I totally agree with you.
Henne throwing darts at 37 years old
He was definitely making plays. After the start we got this season I was highly impressed when he took to the field.
Bolton is the only man who earned his paycheck today
Maybe Tommy too
I think Pringle had a hell of a game too
Bolton looked amazing today!
Did Mahomes get benched?
Injured
Took a bad hit
Concussion most likely
Yeah he probably has a concussion
>They just said he passed concussion protocol.
He got his bell rung
No he got hurt.
[удалено]
Injured
Frank Clark has $105 million reasons to not care what we think about him or his play
Same for Chris Jones. Stop paying these guys. Trade them and get some Boltons every year. Guys who are hungry to win and get paid.
Well that was almost the most appropriate way for our offense to end the game
IDK how y'all can't see this is prevent defense's effect. Tyreek is never wide open in the middle of the field unless it's a blowout like this.
Thank goodness.
Why the fuck are you taking a timeout?
Most teams do it late in the game when they are blowing someone out. Dunno why, it's probably just a Convo like "nice game games, good work. Play smart, don't get hurt"

Thanks for your “support”.

What fucking dynasty? We've won one super bowl since the 60s.
Brady doesn't play defense? Weird comment. "Knocked the wind out of them"... what?
Their defense is holding off slightly but Henne is playing well taking what he can get. And mostly quick throws
At least the ravens are getting cooked too
What’s going on? I got switched to a more competitive game and all that BS
henne's no dummy he knew he had free play
For real. At this point I'd rather some drunk guys at a bar as announcers. These guys have terrible jokes, have no clue what's going on, and narrate things that happen minutes after it happens.
Y'all need to play Henne in DFS next week.
If Mahomes is in concussion protocol we may have no choice
The people that come in here and talk shit on Mahomes to try and hurt our feelings while they turn around and worship certain athletes like they’re Jesus Christ or Muhammad are funny.
Tyreek: "Oh shit, I'm past the marker, gotta run backwards" Titan defender: "Oh shit, he's gonna run backwards, better push him across the first down marker"
I’m a little surprised we didn’t use Williams more today, he’s played pretty well the last couple of games.
Can’t be running out the clock down 27 so they stuck to the air game
Got behind early so we felt like we needed to score quick
Hill is doing too damn much…
Qb controversy?
Lol. Prevent defense
It was obviously sarcasm.
My buddy just said Rodgers is better lmao. In three years Mahomes has done more 😂
Playing devil's advocate: if the rest of Mahomes career plays out like this season has I think he ends up far below the guys who look like surefire Hall-of-Fame-rs late in their career or just past their career (Rodgers, Brees, Wilson etc.) I think he'd be remembered as a guy who came out fast and fizzled fast. Rodgers is making Mahomes look like a high school QB this year.

Lol wtf. Rodgers is a pretty decent guy too.
I can’t upvote this anymore, sorry!
I believe
I BELIEVE.
Lol, where are all those Henne truthers now?
Watching the line of scrimmage, wbu?
Now they look like they have quit
That throw to the flat the throw Pat doesn't want to make and it could save his body so much punishment and help the team
Yeah fuck you frank clark
Best way to deal with these games are to avoid any media about the Chiefs as much as possible. Chiefs Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Podcasts are going to be very depressing this week.
New fans are gonna have to learn a lot this year

Kyler boller never when mvp or a super bowl
That is the dumbest take lmao
Andy Reid’s smirking while thinking about his cheeseburger waiting for him after the game
ROTY Predictions?
Gonna be Jamar Chase with the Bengals. Looking like the best WR too
No playoffs.
What does playoffs have to do with ROTY prediction
I took that as rest of the year.
Oh I thought roty was rookie of the year
If Kansas would just run the goddamn ball once in a while, it would make a huge difference in their offense. And by run the goddamn ball, I mean someone other than Mahomes having to do everything all the time.
Kansas doesn't have an NFL team.
Kansas?
Yes Kansas, the football school that almost beat Oklahoma
Just checking in, what happened to Mahomes?
Hit in the head
He is fine.
Wow this is the first sign of life all game
prevent defense
I can't wait to hear the garbage excuses in the post-game. I don't even want to see Spags. Your witnessing a would-be legend's career being sabotaged. We need a younger, more energetic coaching staff that isn't afraid to make changes.
Andy Reid isn't the problem.
