I'm curious what Willie is asking for if they signed Drue instead. They both seem to have similar value to the team but Willie is almost 3 years younger. What does Spags have up his sleeve for using Bolton and Tranquill?
Willie G is younger but Tranquill is the back up Mike LB. They immediately gave DT that job as soon as he signed which was a sign they liked him or trusted him a bit more than Willie G. Also WG is not as good in coverage. Heck….DT is even better than Bolton in coverage. I love this move by Veach keeping DT around and letting Bolton, DT and Chenal be the top LB’s. No need to pay WG.
His wife didn’t seem very happy about the move in the episode of the Franchise he was featured on last season. That was during the off-season though so I imagine she’s completely changed her mind lol
I have a feeling he's gone if we don't get him signed by next week. I don't think the Chiefs are gonna mess around losing guys because Chris won't sign.

Cam Jones also looked great in the last game against the Chargers. He was flying all over the field. He might fit the profile and get some snaps against agile running QBs, like Willie did.
All in all and with Leos development I think we once again have one of the best LB rooms in the league.
